We arrived with no accommodation booked in advance. Drove around and found the most amazing gem of a place to stay...I am from hospitality background and cant fault the accommodation, the most friendly and awesome welcome and on the plus side they are pet friendly. 10 out of 10 👏

Such a lovely place. There was a muddle (our fault)with our booking and the host was very gracious and welcomed us and put us up in her fabulous cottages. She really has thought of everything that can make your stay an awesome one. Will definitely go back again for a longer stay

The landlord of Rosenhof is very enthusiastic, the room is super clean, and the kitchen appliances are complete. The landlord gave us free upgrades from small rooms to large rooms, and helped us plan the travel route for free, giving me a feeling of going home. I will choose Rosenhof next time again 🤣

The best accommodation in Clanwilliam. Best for groups and family. Best self catering accommodation. Very clean and has everything you need. The hosts are the best always willing to assist.

The place is not too bad but some rooms still require attention. Uncomfortable bed, an air conditioner that is not working while its freezing, lack of extra blankets and study desk are some of the issues I experienced. The owner is trying her best but I found her to be too busy and at times was treated in an uncomfortable manner that signals she thinks I am a criminal. My detailed experience at Rosenhof is as follows:1. I booked with them on Sunday, they welcomed me on Sunday evening without confirming the rate though they had promised a better rate than bookings.com since I was gonna stay for 12 days. They only gave me quotation with banking details the following day (Monday, 22H45) and I paid for the first week. They told me they are upgrading me to a double room (which allows for two or even three people). I took the offer and moved to there on Monday. They did not mention that the upgrade actually does not include two people. I had a colleague coming to assist on the project from Tuesday night. There never was an issue with him until Friday. They had seen that he is there and when I made the payment of the remaining week, there was no mention of a paying for extra person since we are two and they had seen that as from Wednesday morning (like Karen rightly puts it). Then they changed their mind on Friday after I had sent them payment proof and decided to charge me for extra person (its them who told me am being upgraded to a room allowing max 3 people, that should be remembered ). They had seen as from Wednesday that we are two people and in any case they are the ones who offered an upgrade. I was tempted to challenge but I decided I will just pay anyway. The problem started when they demanded payment and when i was about to pay, they then said they ll now open the room (single room, with bad on poor condition, no extra blankets not even a space to hand clothes on). I then lost my patience however I decided to book myself at a different accommodation. I told her on whattsap how this treatment does not seat well with me. She decided to come emotionally charged and shouted at me (being a guest-records available). I then listed all the issues with her which she rejected all of them. I then left since she had indicated she was taking bookings for the same room I was booked at. She complained about us not leaving the room in a much more cleaner condition, this also surprised me as she had never asked that we do our own cleaning (She called me inconsiderate as I had left a towel on the floor one of the days). I need to understand what does it mean for her that the guesthouse is private unlike other guesthouses. I shall await other guests experiences (guests of a same race as myself) to be proven wrong on my suspicion. She still has not refunded the money.

Absolutely stunning place to stay. The communal Lapa, is a wonderful place to relax, have a braai, meet fellow travelers, enjoy a cold beer next to the pool and the beans to cup coffee machine is a wonderful way to start the day. Rooms are clean, beds are super comfortable and with free WiFi, air conditioning and secure parking, there is really no amenity lacking. Our host, Karen, was attentive and made us feel at home from the word go. Highly recommended!

Karen and Coetzee are 2 very pleasant people, you feel so at home and the living unit is very well equipped. To the delight of Magriet with her fiery freshly baked sandwich makes it a very pleasant memorable outing. The well-worked out itinerary and voice notes contributed to unforgettable adventure !!!
