Its taken us almost 8 years to visit Enjo again and it was just as beautiful as we remember. We camped for 4 nights and it was absolutely perfect. A great place for recharging your soul. Our boys had a great time and our 5 month old pup thought she was in heaven. Thank you Lauren and Guy! See you all soon again.

This place is truly good for the soul. We felt we were welcomed as family and the only complaint is that our stay should have been longer. The hiking trails are spectacular. Rustic camping, delicious hot showers and much appreciated were the small things that make camping easier (a broom, brush and pan, plug scourer available, for example). We loved the fresh bread and enjoying the complementary coffee on the farm stoep while our children had a ball playing in the yard. The somewhat hair-raising pass into the Biedouw Valley was much rewarded. We will be back!

It was my first visit here in the winter and it is very different to see the veldt so green. We had a great stay and everything was great. I love that its not crowded. The sunrise and sunset was awesome. We did a little birding with good results. To do this place justice you need to stay for 2 or 3 days at least. Thanks Guy and Lauren.

Delightful setting and beautiful cottage, but a little run down. Lacks some finishing touches, like hand towels, candle, matches - We had a power failure while there - and the water pressure is a problem. They offer delicious fresh bread for sale, if you order beforehand, but the fact that its made in a machine removed a little of the romance.. Access to the single beds in the attic is by ramshackle ladder and obstacles... not for the faint hearted..

Camped at campsite 3 for 6 nights. 2 of those with a friend and the other 4 were by myself with my doggo. Such a lovely spot, where we able to freely explore the farm. The campsite was large and spacious, and kept neat and tidy. The team at Enjo were lovely, and made me feel welcome. The fresh home made bread was so delicious I had to have another one!The doggos on the farm were lovely, and the two collies joined on some of our adventures, with Bok running ahead and making sure we kept on the right paths :-)Such a special breakaway. Will definitely be returning for another soul recharge!

We enjoyed an absolutely blissful weekend at Enjo. Gorgeous, wild country with a very special charm. I loved the thought that went into all the small things - a handy honesty shop, the labyrinth and tree in the old ruin, the paddle skis at the pond, the lounger decks at the swimming dam and plants welcoming water (and making you feel very much a part of the farm). The addition of the swing and bath to the Lazy Leopard Cottage since our last stay was a very welcome surprise and added that extra special something! Resident dog, Bok, was the best guide on our morning hike :)

A little piece of heaven. Camping grounds are spotless and clean. There is drinkable water facilities at every camping plot. Electricity soon to be installed. There is very little signal but WiFi is available at the main house. It is the perfect place to break away from the busy city life. They have a swimming dam and paddle ski natural dam. There is ample hiking trails into picturesque mountains. The staff goes above and beyond to make your stay as pleasant as possible.Definitely a 10 out of 10 for only R100 per night per person.

The vast beauty of the Cederberg! We camped in one of the three campsites which are beautifully located on the river’s edge. We like a little more privacy for our sites than is on offer here. No review can ever explain the magic of this place so where to start. The most beautiful drive through Cederberg to Enjo makes you want to slow down and not miss anything. You are welcomed by the owners who has gone through lots of effort in implementing measures for their guest to feel safe again to travel. They take the time to explain the area and the hikes on the property and their hospitality is what makes the arrival to this magical place so special. Their passion for conservation is also another reason for every nature enthusiast to spend some time here. The Lazy Leopard cottage was neat and small attention to detail is why we will return. Enjo Nature Farm is scenically gorgeous. The early morning and late afternoon light reflecting off the krantzes overlooking the Biedouw valley; the old homesteads and poignant ruins, Wupperthal and the nearby San rock art made our week significant. It is wiltingly hot at this time of year (New Year) and the frequent hot wind blowing dust and grit wore us down a little. The accommodation is in charmingly rustic, for some possibly spartan, bijwoner-style cottages. The fan helps to move the air but the windowless loft is simply too hot for comfort - and the step ladder is only for the agile. We swam in the reservoir pool, braaied every night and enjoyed the most perfect full moon on New Years Eve, when mercifully the wind was still. We were glad to have our Agter Pakhuis adventure but also glad to return to our creature comforts.

What an amazing place. We stayed over for 3 nights and it was an absolute blast. The owners was so welcoming when we got there and explained everything to us. We stayed in a very private section where the closest other house was about 200 meters away from us so we had complete privacy. It was extremely hot there so we swam in the dam every day. There was another dam but because of the draught that one was only knee deep. We saw baboons which we thought was dangerous but they never once bothered us. There are wild horses on the farm as well which was a pleasant surprise. Other animals we saw was frogs, deer and hares which came to visit us at night. There is a short 4x4 trail that you can do which also takes you to a stone passage which gave us something else to do other than relax and swim. We will definitely go there again.

We visited Enjo for a weekend away and stayed in the Lazy Leopard - the largest accommodation on the property.Highlights:The fire pit was a great place to sit around at night and the small pool was where we spent most of the day escaping the Karoo heat. The standout is the bathtub outside that you can relax in during the day or stargaze from in the evening. The sky is incredible at night. It was nice popping up to the main farm house to use the reliable wifi every now and then. The new owners - a family - are really welcoming and helpful.Considerations:We went during the heat of the summer and the Karoo sun is unforgiving. Come prepared with loads of sunblock, plenty of water, hats, sunglasses etc. You can stock up on ice and cold drinks at the main farm house. There was a small fan in the one bedroom and a ceiling fan in the other.Every good escape from the city requires a bit of a drive but this is far if youre coming from Cape Town and a lot of the way is on farm road.

Some very rustic and unique ideas made the place interesting to explore. Great chance to take your dog on holiday too :-) .
