I love the ambiance, you get the feeling youre visiting a small town somewhere in one of the old small town in Europe. The staff are friendly and competent. Ok, lets discuss the reason why you go to the restaurant, the food, I have dined here twice, the first time I had a pizza, and I can without doubt state, its the best pizza in SA, second time round I had the oxtail, and once again the tastiest most tender oxtail I have ever had and Im no youngster, and Ive been around you know, at the tender age of 54. So, try it for yourself, you wont be disappointed

Family favourite! I always eat Mango Chicken curry with couscous and salad!!! Thats the best meal on the menu for me. My family love the pastas and pizzas!

Great service and delicious meals. Would definitely recommend the mango chicken dish with you feel for a different tastebuds experience. The trinchado was hearty, and the sides of salad and veggies are generous and delicious. Cost atmosphere- good for families.

Value for money. Lots of tables with homey atmosphere. Service was on top. We chose comfort food for the cooler rainy night. Oxtail, lamb knuckle and seafood curry was all very tasty and well presented. Was a bit cooler at tables at back but blankets was available.

Lulu and Promise were the perfect hostesses. Air-conditioning, hospitality and napoletana pizza were the perfect mix topped by Sangria. Definitely coming back.

The owner of this restaurant, Lana is fabulous. She is warm, welcoming, understanding and efficient.This restaurant feels like a classical European corner cafe. Where the owner knows your name and a bit about your personal life.She takes time to interact with you and make sure you are satisfied with everything. If youre now she makes sure you get a substitute or your money back, with out any complaints.The atmosphere is amazing as well and family friendly.Definitely worth the visit.

The service was a bit of a let down. We had to ask for our waiter numerous times and even then it took ages for him to get around to us. Different people around the table received their food at different times. One person had to wait 15minutes longer for their pizza than the rest of the table. Food was okay.

Sad - our booked table was given away to another couple AFTER arriving 15 min earlier.. then after 50 min we NEVER saw a waiter again, the manager told us basically they are too busy to serve us... so we had to leave... first time a restaurant had no capacity to serve customers, strange, they were complaining on FB about lockdown financial hardships etc... but cant serve? Wanted to support local restaurants! Not this one EVER again...

My only complaint against this restaurant is that they were closed most of the time during the festive season over December....Very consistent good quality food, very tasty dishes, craft beer, homely ambience, reasonable prices nothing is overpriced. A nice escape after surviving peak hour traffic after work..

Service is slow if not completely unresponsive, not filthy but not particularly clean. We went at a slow time of day and food took a while longer than you would expect.

Youll battle to find dishes of this quality at this price. Its definitely not the most sophisticated of settings or cuisines, but thats not what Village Bistro is about. Pizzas and pastas are traditional but REALLY good, while there are some other great alternatives like Chicken a la King and Beef Trinchado. Good service as well. Its homely and simple, but you wont be disappointed.

Absolutely adore this quaint place! Fridays there is sometimes live music and the place has its own unique buzz to it that takes you to a faraway place! The food is great too and when youre feeling a little cold during winter your waiter will bring you a blanket!

Unfortunately a very poor service experience. The waiter was absent. The food took ages to reach the table. One of the group members order was missing. We took friends along to Village Bistro, but we all agreed that it is best to avoid the place if you want to enjoy a night out.

Had lunch, was delicious!! Had starters they were delicious 😃The fish and chips grilled to perfection. Staff all friendly. You have to wait a bit for your food as they only cook when you order.

We ordered hake and chips, but the fish was off. You could smell it a mile away. The owners did not agree, so someone got a free meal that will make them seriously sick. They even tried to give the terrible fish back to us as take-aways. We refused as this is the lowest you can go. But of course, we had to pay for the off fish. I am seriously disappointed!
