This place is beautiful.It is such a shame that the staff are inattentive and uninterested.When we arrived we were met with a glance over a shoulder and do you need help? - as if we were lost rather than wanting a table.We didnt have a booking but the place was empty (seemingly a function was set to occur later today) except for one larger table. It seemed that finding us a table was too much effort and no explanation was given. Eventually, we were seated next to the large table in full view of the three wait-staff who were tending it.We ordered a starter that never arrived. Having told the waiter we wanted to order food he never returned. Eventually, after 50 minutes in the restaurant and several attempts to get the attention of the staff tending the larger table - we gave up waiting and left cash on the table (thank goodness we had exact change).On our way out - I gave this feedback to two of the waitrons (who were more interested in the larger table) - I was met with disinterest and no apology.I am embarrassed on behalf of the owners.

Weak service, cold food and a creme brulé with a syrup topping!?

The setup with cold and warm food close to one another is a problem with the breakfast buffet, people at the same table end up eating at different times. A slow two slice toaster is not enough for a breakfast buffet.When plates are taken off the stack and dirty, I would expect them to go to the kitchen to be cleaned, not just put back onto the stack

It was absolutely amazing being here. It was like being somewhere in the Cape where one can just forget about the worries of everyday life. The food and atmosphere is top notch and I would visit it as soon as I can!

Kleinkaap is undeserving of the title, Boutique Hotel, but is rather a self service institution.We arrived at the gate, waiting a while before someone opened. Saying we would like to eat breakfast we were told the restaurant was fully booked. We called and were told that there was space so we proceeded to enter.Upon seating ourselves -in the empty restaurant - we waited 10 minutes before a waitress came to the table. Saying we would like to get some coffee she never enquired which coffee and disappeared without leaving menu’s.After another 15 minutes, we decided to visit another venue. While exiting the waitress, standing with 3 (unordered) coffees on her serving dish - rolled her eyes at us, when we said we did not order the coffees.Would not be visiting Kleinkaap, or referring Kleinkaap to a friend anytime soon.

The outdoor/garden style dining is something out of a novel. The food is amazingly delicious. The service is great.The Sunday live music is the cherry atop it all.

Everytime i go there the personel is polite and friendly. I love spending time at Klein Kaap

Went there for the pizza special. Pizza base tasted like supermarket bought base. The service was very slow and the placemats were dirty. Maybe they were to busy with the other functions to care about the restaurant, but for a place that calls itself a boutique hotel, i expected more.

Venue and service and food all deserve 5 stars.. but smokers spoilt the visit.

Extremely disappointed with the food and service. Overdone salmon, dry chicken, inedible dessert. Expensive mistake, we really felt ripped off today.

Delicious food

Food took a little long but service was excellent. Kept on checking in even offering us something to snack on while we wait. The duck and figs was awesome

I had an amazing experience about a year ago, but my recent experience was really disappointing. It seems that they didnt have all the necessary ingredients because our dishes didnt arrive with what was described in the menu. It seemed very thrown together. My starter also had 2 pieces of cling film in it!

Used Kleinkaaps 16th Lintel Restaurant as venue for a business lunch meeting.Pragtige venue. Die diens was baie professioneel en vriendelik. Portions are generous and the food is freshly prepared and delicious, with some ingredients from their own gardens.

We visited this establishment on the 20th of April for Restaurant week. The parking and area leading up to the restaurant were dark and dingy. We were offered a table that was in a compact corner yet we were the only patrons that night.The menu that was offered is the restaurants standard menu. My wife did not have the restaurant week special but chose to have a burger. The burger bun felt like it was made a week ago and warmed in the oven. the burger patty was dry and could be sold as biltong. This establishment only offers catch-up as a sauce. The fries were so bad that raw potatoes would have been better.I had braised beef short rib served on a bed of sweet wild garlic overcook risotto and twigs of thyme over roasted plum or was that puree.My son had something that looked like a grilled octopus but tasted like a rubber band.For mains, I had the worst tasting sticky pork belly, with some boiled broccoli that was thrown over the plate. The pork crackling was non-existing and I really dont blame the crackling for not wanting to be part of the horrific meal. The chef was kind enough to come to the table and help rectify this meal but sadly his valiant attempt ended up being far worst. the pork smelt like a pig and tasted like a chemical warfare thingy made to eliminate someone. Well, it kinda worked cos that evening I ended up with food poisoning and severe tummy pains.My son ordered a medium rare fillet steak that was served well done but the poor lad was so hungry he ate up that meal and then complained of his jaw muscles in pain from that chewing.So this restaurant show never is put on Restaurant Week unless you are trying to find the worst meal in Pretoria.

Relaxing peaceful and charming. Food? Mmmm was not very impressed but then i did not eat my wat through the menu 🤗 maybe the other dishes are better.

Poor food, poor communication from management, poor service. Stay away.

Far too many people for a breakfast buffet. Two tables cost for 70 people. Fruit salad so right out of the Koo can. Worst coffee Ive had in a long time. Quality of food is really not good. Venue is beautiful. Really disappointed !!!! Never see me again !!!!

Buffet Breakfast Saturday morning - 15 August 2020. Prima. My first time to be able to relax there with group of 11 people. In this unusual time I was impressed with reception at the main gate - professionally handled. Protected cutlery measures were in place !!! Josepf the waiter, was very spontaneous and tip top with help and made sure we were all comfortable and satisfied. The breakfast was really very tasty. Exquisite variety! Fresh homemade red prickly pear juice was tops. Staff very friendly and treated each of us very professionally. Thank you to everyone who contributed to an unforgettable morning - thank you Marioné for making arrangements !!

Beautiful under the trees and wonderfully peaceful. Food was delicious!
