My son has attended Taryns Swimming Academy since he was a baby in my arms, bopping in the pool for his first swim experience. He is now 8 and has not only been taught how to handle an unpredicted situation when falling into a pool of water and acting swiftly and calmly to ensure his safety, but this journey has allowed self confidence in the water and cultivated a love for swimming. He has been equipped with the proper foundations for each stroke, practising their techniques with personal guidance from an amazing teacher who has journeyed with him to know his capabilities, strengths and areas for improvement during his lessons. As parents this continual investment has already reaped its benefits for our child. Not only in a situation where he was accidentally pushed into a pool (and made it safely out by himself) but also the security he feels in the ocean as he learns to bodyboard, aspiring to be like his surfing dad. With appreciation to Tammy his teacher, we highly recommend the excellence of teaching that is found at Taryns Swimming Academy.

Ive recently joined the water aerobics classes and absolutely love it. Its lots of fun while having a workout. The instructor Cara really goes out of her way to make you feel included. I would highly recommend the water aerobic classes.

Cara is one of the best if not the best water aerobics instructor I have ever been in contact with. The classes are fun and whoever though that water aerobics is for sissies will be pleasantly surprised!

Both our children attended the academy over the years and we are extremely satisfied with their progress and the overall experience from teacher-student interaction to cleanliness of pool and facilities, parking and covid-19 protocols.

I have been at Taryns for the last 7 years now with all my kids, we have always been accommodated towards our needs . The kids have learnt to swim and dive like so well for their age . Overall very good experience with the swimming school . Highly recommend !

Adult swimming lessons are fantastic, especially for beginners like myself. I learnt the basics within 2 months and the fear of drowning disappeared. Highly recommend.

Response time dreadful. Even though email states that response time is not immediate, which is understandable, 7 days and no response on when we can join or time slot availability. Even if its a we are fully booked.Disappointing, as the email says one should only whatsapp/email

My daughter has been attending Taryns Swimming Academy since 6 months old. (She is now 8). We dont have a pool at home, so the importance of pool safety and her being comfortable in the water was of utmost importance. She is loving every minute and has now grown into an accomplished little swimmer. Each coach is caring, thoughtful and just a delight to watch with your child.

Taryn is a very strong, independent, well organized woman. She is a successful woman that excels in her work. Any swim student is lucky to have her as a trainer. With all her success in life, what stands out the most is that she is an amazingly friendly person with a heart of gold.

Taryns swimming academy has been amazing for my kids. Cara was perfect for my 6 year old daughter who was terrified of pools, and Tammy knows just how to get my 3 year old to perform. Brilliant teachers with oodles of patience, knowing exactly when to push and when to let the kids move at their speed. If I could give them 10 stars I would.

Tammy is an excellent swimming teacher, Ive literally sat there every week and seen how my child progresses with her.She is trusting to the kids, plenty of patients, knows how to deal with their fears of water and lets them have fun while doing it.I would definitely recommend this swimming school to anyone who is serious about teaching their kids to swim.

We get fabulous input as adult swimmers from Cara Wileman. Ive really enjoyed picking up swimming again. The only negative is the pool which could be longer.

Great swim school for adults learning from scratch.

Really great for kids parties. I attended a family members birthday party there in the middle of winter and it was really great for the kids!

Both my kids started at Taryns Swimming Academy at age 4. (now 6 and 8) Within weeks they were really confident in the water and willing to learn more.
