We decided to install a pool in June 2020 and had several companies out to quote. We based our decision on various criteria such as quality, service, price, reliability, references, company age and service support. Without a doubt across all the criteria Advance Pools was the best by a long shot. They offered us a complete turnkey package which included paving and their warranties exceeded any other supplier. We thus agreed and they started the job. The installation, payment and handover experience was fantastic. They created a WhatsApp group with all the stakeholders and posted regular updates with reliable timelines. We were truly amazed at the level of professionalism and integrity shown by Advance Pools. If you are in the market, please use this company, you will not be disappointed. They arranged for me to view a completed site and a factory visit. Nicolas was simply awesome, Carmen was great on the admin, Brandon was extremely helpful. Their installation team allowed us to feel conformable and we could trust them on our property. Simply put Advance Pools is just more advanced than their competitors!

I am impressed with the professionalism of Lucky and his team. They arrived on time and worked like a well oiled machine. Everyone knew exactly what needed to be done. Well done to Advance Pools. Excellent workmanship.

Not a pleasant experience.After completion the pool had a large quantity of sand in it (after being filled with water). It took more than a week for Advance Pools to send someone out to remove the sand, and they failed to do so. The contractor who was supposed to remove the sand wasted roughly 2 000 litres of water but only removed half the sand before his pump broke down. He never returned to complete the job. When a paving contractor (not associated with Advance Pools) completed the paving around the pool he informed me that the coping Advanced Pools fitted was laid down crooked, possibly to hide the fact that the pool shell was warped.When you stand in the pool, you can feel the bottom deform - as if the ground was poorly prepared and a void had formed below the shell.Dont get me started on the pool light...When contacting Advance Pools management you get dismissive and even aggressive attitude from them. Avoid this company like the plague. After posting this review I was contacted by the owner who has promised to look into the matter and rectify any mistakes (if any) that are the fault of Advance Pools. I will adjust my rating and modify my comments if its clear that I was overly harsh. Its been two months and Advance Pools Cape have still not visited my property to inspect the issues raised.

From starting to completion took 4 days. The team was professional throughout. The tiling done was spot on and blended in well with the original. We were thoroughly impressed with the service and post installation briefing. Can definitely recommend the team.

Had a warranty claim from an installation done in January 2016 under a previous owner. The current owner (Brandon) sent a team to reline the entire pool, work was done professionally and water was stored in storage bladders. Had to call them out again to repair the air jet control valve that was damaged during the above repairs - again the owner sent out the team to replace the valve. A few delays, but the warranty was honored. Thanks Brandon and team.

A DIY pool is not something you undertake lightly! These guys were really great.- quick response time and quotation time- very competitive pricing- they customized the quote by including a cartridge filter for me at a very good price- after ordering, they set up a Whatsapp group to guide me through the process, which was really helpful- they were very responsive to my questions during the DIY process- they delivered quickly (+-1 week), and on time- they were also very understanding and patient as I got approval from the City and didnt rush meI can definitely recommend them as your DIY installation partner.

Very poor backup of contractor. Job not finished properly, and no interest after money paid. When problems arose, very little response from Advance Pools. Would not recommend. One star is generous. Pool shell itself is good, installation not good at all.

I am going through the fibreglass pools and I liked what I saw with Advance pool ,I would have like to use this company , but now I do not know , can some 1 please advise if you can use this company or not.

Pathetic after sales service. I think if you buy a pool from these guys just accept that once they have your money you are on your own. Fiberglass falling off the pool rails, pool steps no where near level, pump incorrectly installed, lights all failed after just 4 months and paving around the pool is sinking . I’ve been trying to get them to come out for roughly six months but all I get is empty promises. I would avoid like the plague.Advanced pools : If you are reading this review you are more than welcome to contact me to come and do the work but some how I doubt it. More concerned about the next job.

Out of sight out of mind. Once they have your money they disappear like mist. Had to clean rubble and sand around the pool myself, coping pavers that are loose. The didnt do a handover, i dnt know how the timer works. After payment they didnt respo d on messages

Today I have to waste my valuable time in a small claims court in order to get some compensation for the inefficient service and shoddy workmanship rendered by Advance Pools. The fibre relining was done with a very poor finish . The light housings were cracked resulting in major water loss and the lights were siliconed into place and no attempt was made to ensure that everything was functioning properly before vacating the site. A different contractor had to be called in to fix the mess. The Advance Pools logo is accompanied by a logo from The association of pool and spa professionals ( APSP ). Dont be fooled by this as they are not certified members of that association. Be aware that this contract was worth R 55 000 and despite all payments being made timeously, a contract that started in September 2015 was only completed ( by another company ) in January 2016. My advice to you is to avoid any dealings with Phillip and Melinda Smit and Advance Pools.

Response time concerning

Advance Pools put in a pool for me a few years back for a higher cost than some other companies- a very bad job, the sand was not compacted properly, the pool has been sinking and splitting in various places for years, the creepy gets stuck on all the warps and lumps on the bottom, they dont answer emails and appear to be disinterested in help or advice. Very disappointed- dont use them.
