Have amazing sporting gear and a wide variety but are almost triple the price of other shops with most products, just make sure you look around first before buying from here to ensure you get a good deal

They have a large selection of sports goods. From swimming to weight lifting to running and cricket. The staff are always helpful.

I like the products they sell, but walking around the shop in peace is nearly impossible. The staff ask over and over again if you are ok, even if they have just spoken to you. It feels like they just repeat this as a mantra, without checking if they have spoken to the same customer before. Buying there is overwhelming! Also, when I try to buy shoes, they never seem to have my size, which is pretty regular (EU40)

While the cashier was perfectly friendly and professional and the store met all of our needs, I was less than impressed with the welcome into the store.Today, 19th of September 2021 between 1.30 - 1.45 pm we entered the store. During the pandemic we are certainly accustomed to sanitize upon entry in each and every store. However, when we entered this store, we waited to be sanitized since we couldnt find an automated process to do so. Your person responsible to do so was in lively conversation with her colleagues and we patiently waited for them to conclude. After MORE than a few moments we realized she was not going to sanitize us and we proceeded into the store, knowing where we needed to go. We were midway in when we were called back to the front of the store to sanitize. She also took the liberty to do so in a patronizing manner which I found highly unprofessional.Please, save yourself a salary and buy an automated sanitizer if your staff are not going to bother.

Store is great with a decent amount of variety but overheard staff making negative comments about customers that sanitized by them.Despite the two of them, there are other older/more mature staff here that has been a great help.

Being in retail, we always try our best by giving each one of our Clients / Customers the best experience possible, should this be through a quick in n out to a more in-depth selection.The key factor, no matter the Client / Customer, is always listen, understand and assist.I would like to commend Mrs. Tarquin Josephs & Mr. Ross Edwards on their exceptional professionalism at handling my dilemma.My Partner and I entered Sportsman’s Warehouse on Saturday Morning looking for a product (gift for our 8 year old son for X-mas) but to no avail, we then received the assistance from Mr. Ross, looking up our item I hope that their other stores might have, after a while, again, to no avail, he could not source a unit, but truly did try everything in he’s power, but it does not stop here, he might not have had the capability directly to source said item and where most retailers would just give up and have their clients / customers walk, not this fast thinking young man, he neared Mrs. Josephs (which I presumed is the Store Manager) and explained everything to her, immediately without any hesitation, Mrs. Josephs acted, phoning all over and within two clicks and 2 phones calls, she managed to source our product, but again, it does not end here, this awesome lady (Mrs. Josephs) actually drove to the selected location to collect the item herself and informed me the very following day (on a Sunday) that it’s at her store and ready for my collection.What an amazing experience for a change I had, being on the other end and because of these 2 exceptional, professional (go getter personality) individuals, my son will now be able to have an unforgettable X-mas.Their Client / Customer Service (Listen, Understand & Assisting) went way beyond the norm and they should definitely be noticed for the work and effort they put in daily.They are truly a value (asset) within the Sportsman’s Warehouse structure.Sportsman’s Warehouse:Better hold on to these 2 individuals as other companies will be grabbing them-up very fast…Hope everybody has a blessed festive season and be safe.

I visited and purchased golf balls. The pricing was definitely cheaper than had I bought at a dedicated golf supply type shop. The salesman was courteous, knowledgeable and helpful.

I have been phoning around for products and the Canal Walk branch did not have stock available. Edith, who answered the phone, offered wonderful customer service by checking other stores and making possible arrangements to get the product. She phoned back even as I was typing this review! Almost anything you need for sport you can find at Sportsmans. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly.

Staff were a bit scarce but it was late at night so probably understandable. The store is very well stocked as Sportsmans usually is. We got what we needed and got on our way. There are better Sportsmans stores but this one was convenient and we are pleased with our purchase.

Took a while before I could find a staff member to show me where to find the item I needed. They just pointed me in the direction, then I had to find someone i that section to assist with advice, not very helpful. Stood quite a while in a queue , got to the counter and then sent back to the queue as the cashier decided to help someone else who had been there previously. It was really embarrasing. This is the first time I have had a disappointing experience I previously found the staff very friendly and knowledgeable

Had a complaint that never got followed up by the mamageress.When I walked into the branch 5th time she told.me to get item from shelf to scan and when I got to till was nowhere to be seen.WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THIS !!!Sportsman warehouse has resolved the matter. Sportsmans had a special on tennis balls of which they had advertised in store and had plenty stock. When paying at the counter they REFUSED to sell a single tennis ball container as advertised. Staff were rude about it and did not offer an alternative or a solution. I cannot recommend a store with such unhelpful staff and Ill no longer be shopping there. Also theyve not responded to my complaint so theres zero customer service from the higher levels. Stay away.

5 STARS for employee TARQUIN! I phoned into the store to find out if the item I was looking for was in stock. Sportsmans Warehouse Tygervalley was a sad disappointment in terms of service. They had continuously made empty promises to me about when they would be receiving stock, so I got tired of waiting on more lies. Phoning into Sportmans Warehouse Century City proved to be disappointing at first, because the phone was put down on me the first few attempts, followed by another attempt of being continuously placed on the hold by an unknown employee who was supposed to be transferring me to the correct department. Im not sure how many South African citizens during this difficult economic time can truly afford to waste up to 4 minutes of airtime, or do so happily. Naturally I hung up the phone and tried again, and this is when my impatience and irritation was met with Tarquin, who very PROFESSIONALLY dealt with my complaint and product inquiry. She should really be commended for the SPECTACULAR service she provided me with. She was the only employee to source my product for me out of TWO SPORTSMANS BRANCHES. Thank you very much Tarquin!! You provided me with service that should be the standard in South Africa, but sadly isnt. Please dont let go of the standards that you have for yourself, youre a gem that people who find will be greatful for!

Disappointing given the range of equipment and limited brands including ridiculous prices. Nobody came to assist too, I was there for 15 to 20 minutes. The 2 stars are for the 2 staff members who welcomed me at the entrance...

My daughter and i enjoy testing everything. Service not the best if you need help but with a bit of effort you can get someone to point you in the right direction.

Staff are too busy entertaining each other that they dont even bother to offer assistance. I came to the store to seek advice on a new pair of running shoes, and I walked out 10 minutes later after no assistance. Ill take my business to a different retailer that values their clients.

Great service, the floor manager Sandro restrung my racket himself in the absence of the person who was meant to. Just played a game now, racket feels firm and shows clearly Sandro did a great job, friendly guy too.

Salesperson was very good at the store and assisting us. Very helpful. Was at the store 29 Nov 2019 and purchased Mudslinger go-kart. Once we got home and assembled it, the extension bar frame was very weak so not ideal for a tall person and a weight over 40kg. My son is 43kg and tall and the middle section to extend the length of the unit to allow tall people, it sags while riding. So its unstable and going over a hump or incline, that middle section can touch the ground. Very unhappy for such an expensive gokart

Great place for sports equipment, good quality products... Price rang however is not for average spender. Lovely clothing but paying over 1/4 salary for a shorts is steep for me... Maybe one day :)

I went to Sportsman Warehouse to seek advice the consultant informed me that he did not have enough knowledge to assist me, he asked a manager: who was too busy to come over help me. My problem was I could not decide which inserts to purchase to ease my discomfort of a plantar fasciitis injury. I waited 10 minutes for Mike S (manager) he eventually came to assist but then started to raise his voice speaking to someone else a distant away from us; making me feel unimportant and that Sportsmans Warehouse did NOT need my business, I told him how I felt and left the shop.I use to make regular purchases there.

SW has an incredibly wide range of sports stuff, usually at quite reasonable prices. It sometimes takes a while to get someone to help you, but today the service was excellent.
