I have been buying the same pair of black vans for the last 10 years or so. They used to last me about a year +-. In the last 3 years, Ive noticed they have just started wearing down and breaking so quickly, the point where my pair I bought less than 2 months are already breaking. I actually took my last pair to a shop to get it strengthened by the toes as that always seems to be a weak point, but now the shoes have broken on the sides. I will no longer be buying anything from vans after over 10 years of loyal support.

Wonderful, even had larger sizes

I went to Waterfront on my last day of holiday and got a pair of Vans. Kwesi, the guy who helped me, gave me two different shoe sizes and I only realised when I got back to Gauteng. I waited 2 weeks for this to be sorted out and I only got somewhere once my boyfriend lost his cool and told the staff this was unacceptable. Only then did they decide to do something about it.

Got a pair of Gilbert Crockett Pro 2 skate shoes for my 12 year old son for Christmas at just shy of R1 500. 4 Days later and 1 h worth of skating and the special pro skate shoes are almost worn out.I immediately told my son to stop skating with them, as this kind of wear one can expect 3 to 4 months in.... not a week !?!?Took the shoes back to the store and the manager says its normal wear and tear!?!?Its unacceptable to me that this is the response?
