I went in to collect two pairs of shoes that my uncle had ordered a couple of weeks ago.At that time, the shoes were 50% off but when I went to collect them, I was told that the sale had ended and so I would have to pay full price (the young lady who explained this to me was very sweet and polite). I started to explain that is didn’t reaaally seem fair because when we initially ordered the shoes, my uncle had offered to pay but the store’s policy was that they didn’t allow that. He also offered to EFT but that also wasn’t allowed.As I was explaining this (I feel like I was being quite polite even though I didn’t think the situation was fair), the older shop-assistant (I assume she’s the manager?) chipped in and told me that she had phoned my uncle and explained to him that the sale was ending on Sunday and that he needed to collect them before that.Fine. That sounds fair.But she was SO rude and aggressive to me. I didn’t go in looking for a fight (I really don’t like being that entitled customer) but she was very hostile and I came out of the interaction feeling quite upset. Anyway, I didn’t argue. I just phoned my uncle to confirm that he still wanted the shoes and so I paid full price and that was that.But then my uncle phones them and told her that no one told him that we had to be there before Sunday. She spoke to the person who phoned my uncle and she confirmed that she DIDNT tell him. She said there was nothing she can do. SO SHE JUST SOMMER LIED TO ME SO THAT I WOULDNT ARGUE.Ugh anyway, my complaint has nothing to do with the store’s policy. It was just an awful interaction and, quite frankly, I felt belittled and I won’t be recommending that branch to anyone.P.S. the younger shop assistant is awesome and professional
