I really have to say almost everything related to sewing and crafts its clean the staff is friendly and helpful I cant stop browsing and cant get enough even just looking around . Very professional.

Loved the service, such lovely staff! Haberdashery is really well displayed and they stock Burda, newlook and simplicity patterns! Pity they only have a small selection of material. Will definitely go there again

They are your regular habadashery store, with most colors in cotton threads. Beads. Trims etc. Although they keep a good selection of buttons & zips, their range is not extensive.

Staff of Cape Town Sewing always friendly, helpful and a very easy atmosphere for browsing. Well situated in Darling street next to CCM and with Woodheads for leather products, just at the street at the back. Both give a very easy going shopping experience.

BEWARE NO REFUNDS! I bought a few packets of magnetic clips, only to find that they were inferior in quality. The metal was thinner and according to the Consumer Protection Act, a product has to be good for at least 6 months. I doubt that it would have lasted normal use more than a few times before falling off because the clips are so flimsy. Anyway although according to law I was entitled to a refund, the owner blankly refused, but wanted to issue a credit note instead. Given the parking situation, the location of the shop and the troll-like attitude, best shop elsewhere.

Staff need to be more helpful. You have to coerce them to help you. Would be nice if they showed some initiative. It would help them stand out from the usual attitude you get in Cape Town, which they have unfortunately adopted.The variety of stock isn’t great either. They could include more yarns and threads in their offering. I’ve found that Cape Towns ‘well known’ establishments are too familiar and lackadaisical and their aloof attitudes don’t bode well for building lasting rapport with clients. Please pull up your socks.

Bad extremely bad service. Sorry I will not recommend anybody to go there and Ill will never go there. Not etiquette, no way of speaking, no help, loud speaking to each other. Titbit pieces of stuff on rolls that you are forced to decided to take. Close the shop. These people are not proud of there work.
