The lady in your reception was extremely very helpful... but as I have explained to her my situation why after +- 20 years being with ADT your company services to me and to about 4 other clients who I have recommended to your company as well... Your services to all of us is no longer of the same quality as before.. This was my reason that I have canceled my contract with ADT.. Thanks for your service over the years.. Abrubt or rude cannot distinguish... Wanted to test my alarm but this person was NOT helpful at all..... So I just put the phone down... Without testing... What to do... I have been a customer with ADT for more than 13 years and over the past years there standard and services has substantially gone down hill. There customer service team is beyond a joke as they are full of empty promises. They dont reply to complaints or concerns as they promise to do whether its via email or telephone. And its the same with response times a waste of time and risk to your safety and life. I am cancelling my contract after all these years as I am wasting my time and money

Hardly present on our roads in Woodstock. Tested the alarm over the phone and required a technician to come to premises due to no signal received. Technician gets here and cant find fault since all signals are being received, but ADT still charges R700 call out fee.

I signed up for their service, paid on time every month for 2 years. Gave 2 months written notice to cancel. They accepted said cancellation IN WRITING, confirming ZERO monies were outstanding! Confirmation letter sent by their Vian De Bod, then get letter of demand from their Lawyers and Stella Theron because they changed their premium without notifying me for 2 years. I asked Stella Theron why I wasnt notified, she stated they never had my email, tel number or address? HOW THE HELL WOULD THEY HAVE RESPONDED TO AN EMERGENCY THEN? Now i want ALL my premiums back please! What an absolute JOKE! Never use ADT (in) Fidelity, what an absolute scam and joke! My last review (according to Google) was seen by over 10 000 people! ADT if you see this, please do get in touch with me for my FULL REFUND!!

They are easy to sign up and response times been acceptable but when cancelling contract it is on their terms as long as they get their monthly fees. Tried to cancel contract around 7th of month which was not accepted yet they expect us to promote their business and also ask for details of new purchaser. Where is customer service and meeting trusted clients halfway? No can do, ADT not supported.

Disappointing to say the least, the first operator didnt explain the full cost of the installation. Then the a week later the next operator fails to mention acceptance of quotation before installation can continue. Almost two weeks later still no installation and all arrangements I made to be at home had to be cancelled and other plans made. Not very professional for such a big company. I have yet to be impressed by ADT.

I am disappointed with the service I am getting with no help!In November, we (my husband and myself) went to N1 City branch to complain of 2 deductions of the same month. We were well received at the enquiry desk and was explained that it was an amount for re charging of a battery (which we were not aware of). This also shocked us as we did no authorization with the bank. We further requested pensioners reduction. The technician was in a meeting, however, he phoned us and promised reduction will be effective for the month of Dec.The next deduction, i.e. November, 2 different amounts deducted, on 23rd and 25 November (R512.60 and R483.00 respectively).My husband went back to enquire. He was treated badly especially a certain Mr. Magagula in Johannesburg head office, who later phoned to say they will refund. No refund yet, instead a deduction of R857.60 was deducted from my bank account. Now I am lost for words!If your service is as exhaustive as I have explained, just tell me why do we have to utilize it?

On 9 February 2020 an intruder triggered the alarm after forcing a vehicle gate, a window and a burglar bar. I was not at home. ADT phoned me at the time of the trigger and I explained that I was not home and they said they will send a response team.I heard nothing further.The next morning I arrive home to a burglary scene as clear as clear can be. Upon inquiring with ADT and their response; it was reported that a window was open. I escalated the matter and a control room manager came so see the scene and take down my formal complaint.That was the last I heard from them.I now spent 15 minutes on the phone to pick up the issue only to be passed along from caller assistant to caller assistant, and cut of in the end.I dont feel that I am getting what they advertise and what I am paying for.

Customer service has been dismal, the alarm still has not been installed, We paid cash and when we wanted to cancel the contractwe were promised a better service its been a few days yet if I do not call no one returns my calls or reaches out to help solve this problem. I would rate this company 0 stars if possible, i highly do not recommend.1. Their customer service is nothing but shocking.2. It takes weeks if not at least a month for their technical support team to come replace a battery. i was left without a working alarm system for over a month, after the first visit i was no longer able to arm the alarm whilst i am in the house, i can now only arm it once i leave. i have reported this issue more than 4 times with no response.3. My house was broken into just over 2 months ago, i was alerted that my alarm was going off and i requested a tactical team be sent to my house, they reported that nothing was wrong, however my neighbor was able to see that my front gate had been derailed and opened, the window had been smashed, burglar bars broken off and my front door wide open from a crowbar. ADT had no response to this once informed and all my calls were simply shifted around until dropped.This company does not perform up to standard and i will be changing to a smaller more reliable company that can stick to their companies slogan. No ADT you are not More than a line in the sand, if you value your possessions and your own safety or family members safety i suggest looking else where for a security service provider.

I requested my signboards to be replaced , which they agreed to replaced the following week,but they failed me. A week later I phoned them again and explained to them that Im going on holiday but would like my signboards up before going. Im still at home and will collect it , personally ,at the N1 City branch. Accounts department surely lets the side down. They increase your monthly fee without notifying you, and by a percentage well above inflation, and add a radio licence fee even though you dont use a radio to connect! And then to get the credit approved, you have to phone THEM 3 times, they would never think to phone you back. Plus you have a different credit controller assigned to your account each time. And then... they cant reduce your debit order (with the credit finally approved) for the following month. Such bad customer service.

I’ve been an ADT client for 2 years and recently had some renovation done to my house which needed rewiring of the existing system. A simple job that should have been 2-3 hours. They sent a sales rep to my house to provide a quote for the work and the sales rep instead used the time to sell me some other products while paying minimal attention to what actually needed to be done. A week later I signed al the paperwork and made the payment. I should have known better but after the payment was made the rep became entirely unavailable by phone or email. I personally had to call ADT technical to get their technical team to schedule someone to come out. They finally said someone would come out the next day and complete the work. Complete freaking circus. Several calls and misunderstandings later a technician finally showed up at my house with only the new equipment that the sales rep sold me. He wasn’t even aware of the actual work I needed and said the sales rep didn’t even mention it in the work request. I rushed home to ensure someone could be there to open for the technicians only to find it was a complete waste of my afternoon because of all the miscommunication between their sales and technical department.ADT has seriously disappointed me after years of being a loyal customer. Feeling really let down.

Not even worthy of a star.I could not arm my system, so they came to fix it yesterday. Last night same problem. Called them this morning, now they tell me they can only come in two weeks time nevermind that I paid R630 and the f$%^n alarm is still not working. Leaving on holiday Friday so my property will be without alarm for nearly a month. What do they care. Useless company.

We are about to fire ADT as a direct result of inadequacies in their system and operational procedures. We previously were with YMA. Who unfortunately were bought by ADT. During load shedding alarm triggers due to power outages and accidental triggers and break-ins all get sent to the centralized call center in N1 City. Calls are apparently not prioritized on the basis of High priority (break-ins) and lower priority (power outages or low power states).The consequence of this fundamental system flaw means that during load shedding ADT customers are all placed at risk - ADTs call center are inundated with thousands of alerts - not knowing which are legitimate emergencies - they just work through the list - often this means at best clients could have to wait hours before someone from ADT responds or calls back. This is totally unacceptable - I have complained about this but have been told that there is nothing they can do about it.Compare this to the way it was with YMA - a local community based and orientated security company and response centre - much faster response times on average - typically

Last year I requested a call from ADT sales to give me a quotation for a brand new new residential alarm system. I twice called again and still nobody contacted me? I therefore purchased a new system from one of your competitors. This afternoon I called your sales office requesting a quotation for monitoring and response only. The lady said that she would transfer me to another sales person. I waited for more that 10 minutes on the phone and nobody came back to me. Why spend big many promoting your brand, and then ignore potential customers that want to do business with you?

Im utterly disappointed in this company service. I had an accident at my house last year March and I kept pressing the panic and paramedic button. All to find no response or phone call as thats the procedure. Thats after 9 months of being with the company. I canceled my contract with ADT. I gave them a good chance, but enough is enough. Only reason they get the 2 is due to the sales rep being excellent. But things went downward from there. Instalations team got angry at me because they did not receive the request I put for 2x LED lights. But they sorted me out at least. Now I am waitng 2 weeks for the bill. Many requests later and still no bill. Its MONEY, I want to settle and move on! Wow, being told they will send it just now, but now has become nownow, nownownow, a true africa service experience. Thanks ADT, but Ill go to the Serengeti if I wanted that. From good to poor in less than a month. Moving to enother service provider methinks....

ADT repaired the blue LED light that shows whether my alarm is on or off a while ago. Now I cannot see whether the alarm is set or not. Have called ADT a number of times and had appointments for this to be fixed - only nobody pitched. Not being able to see whether alarm set or not I do get false alarms - now they want to charge me for alarms when they have not kept appointments to fix my alarm (which is still under warranty) in the first place!!

Not impressed with their services. Admin was a nightmare and they kept calling my mom in the Eastern Cape when the alarm went off in Cape Town. Their technicians are arrogant when they come to investigate a problem at your house. I run a guesthouse and when the alarm recently went off, the patrol guard never verified who he spoke to when he checked on the house and informed my guests that there was a problem with lots of break-ins in the area. My guests promptly checked out. Thanks for costing me money and business ADT

My alarm went off about 20 minutes ago. After explaining the car was broken into the night before. I had one missed call on my phone. No response unit. I called 5 times spoke to Carol and a man. I couldnt hear them as there is a beeping in my ears as they speak. Not once has anyone called me back. No response unit has arrived???? I dont have words... Absolutely horrible experience dealing with this company and I would not recommend them to anyone. Been a customer for more than 15 years and over the past 6 months weve asked them on numerous occasions to come out and test the alarm system which they didnt do - promises to call back and arrange a booking/time slot never happened.Then the 1 time we actually have a break in the call centre staff is totally clueless and keeps referring you to different departments.Stay far away from this company. Its all fine and dandy when they debit your account each month but when you actually need to use them they cant be of any assistance.

He calls me cause he cant hold of my mom and I maybe closer than he is. I race there and arrive with them sitting in front of house in vehicle. I stop in driveway get out and look through windows of house. Everything looks fine, but still cant get hold of my mom. Eventually got hold of her and she was at the shops. Useless guy never even got out of his car and just left during this time.

ADT called me saying that my alarm was set off. I was still returning from work so I was unaware as to what was happening at my house. I thus instructed them to send a response vehicle to the house to see what was going on. This was at 17:24. When I eventually returned home, my wife told me that it was she who set the alarm off by accident when she got home. Nevertheless, it was 18:20 and no response vehicle pitched up. I asked my wife she was in contact with ADT. She said no. A nearly 1 hour response time is ridiculous and I will be changing my armed response.

Phoned in to change contact details to tenants details. Couldnt do it over the phone, had to email. 4 days no one replies to my mail. Phoned and escalated. Two more days no reply. Still nothing. In the meantime what happens if there is a break in and they contact the wrong person?! - have also had instances where the alarm goes off and it takes up to 10 minutes for a response. ADT has become an impersonal corporate money making scam. Would love to see the stats on how many crimes they have prevented against the number of call outs they receive.

Very disappointed following arranging for a Guard who was dropped off without any tools of the trade namely a radio,baton or torch. When i tried the control room after 2 hours to enquire about the lack of equipment the response was poor. We are still trying to arrange the equipment for him. This after demanding upfront payment even though we have an account with them.If anything happens whilst your company is guarding the property ADT will be liable for any losses incurred.

I am completely shocked at ADTs service! From the beginning of my contract that I signed at the beginning of last year, I have been told incorrect information from their sales team. Although I take complete blame for not rereading the contract before signing, I made it very clear to their sales agent that I was living in a rental and would only need their services for 12 months. The sales agent told me that I would have to renew my contract at the end of the 12 months or it would automatically cancel. This has not been the case but I do partly take blame for not reading the fine print. A month after the contact started and I was paying, I realised my alarm wasnt working properly. The sales agent said she had connected the alarm and everything was fine and it wasnt. I then had to pay an additional R700 fee to get someone to fix a problem that shouldnt have even happened in the first place because the mistake was hers not mine. Moving on to this year, I moved out of my old place and expected my contract to stop as per the sales agents information. It is now MAY and I am still paying over R400 a month for an alarm system in a place I do not even live in anymore! I have phoned ADT at least twice a month for the past 3 months asking them to cancel my contract. I have filled in cancellation form after cancellation form and I am STILL getting billed! What rubbish is that from an international company! Then when I phone and speak to the manager, he says that there have been mistakes on their side but they cannot refund me because thats not how their company policy works but they will send me a voucher for a night guard. I DO NOT WANT A NIGHT GAURD! I want the money you have been wrongfully taking from my account for the past 3 months now! Honestly, what an absolutely useless company. I will never use them again.

Google rating system doesnt accommodate for the appalling rating I want to give you guys. My house in Plattekloof was broken into and numerous items of value and importance were stolen. ADT car arrives 30 minutes after the incident. I go down to the Engen Garage shortly after that only to see 3 ADT cars and a Police Vehicle parked there doing absolutely nothing. I dont seem to be getting any response from your call centre so maybe someone will listen here. I am completely disgusted in the service I have received from your company! I called on Tuesday to speak to a sales consultant and by Friday no one had called me back. I then called you at 10am yesterday asking for a explanation and they answer I was given was I dont know. I then held on for 10 minutes for a sales consultant just to be told Paul was on a call and will call me back in 20 mins. Its now Saturday morning and no one has called me. How on earth can you run a business like this? And then you want people to put their lives in your hands. This is unacceptable. Been continuesly phoning and Emailing ADT after they installed Beams at my home. I have queries which I need answered. No response whatsoever, the person you are looking for is either not working today or not available or soo many other excuses. Phoned again today after sending 4 emails, asked to speak to person in charge who she said was Mr Brandt....he is off today, asked for his email address, put me on Hold came back and gave me the Email address Ive been sending to along and no response (adtalwaysthere).......refused to now give me Mr Brandts email...put me on Hols again, I just then put the phone down, did not bother of tcourse to call me back....had the kind of attatude Who cares . Expensive compared to others but a bigger company. Thus far having terrible service. Billing issues as well. To get to speak to management they dont call back. You need to go to their offices and make an issue of it to get their attention. Then the system which were installed is a big system but giving a number of weird technical issues. Their technical manager came out after I had to put a request out four times and eventually went to their offices. Problems still there.

Down Oxford road, next to the Hollow Tree, outside the step of lounge, (right hand side, the tiny salon next to the restaurant)This guy ADT response with number plate CY-306-xxxToday at 7:56am on 27/09/2018 , a coloured dude, with a fader..kicked a child of 16 in the face as he was sleeping in a ragged blanket huddled up in he tiny corner .No words were exchanged, it seemed as if the coloured ADT response man just felt like venting hes suicidal life.I screamed at the ADT man, at the time I didnt notice it was a child he kicked, Im guessing neither did Mr ADT.This dude was coward, he quickly jumped in hes vehicle as I approached,I REALLY WANTED TO BREAK THIS GUYS LEG..I motioned to the child and gave a R10.00 Expresso Copenhagen.Im sad to bits,no person deserves that.You guys will be hearing me and I WILL, find that piece of trash who deals damage to the down and out citizen.F YOU.
