Quick friendly service. They have smoking and non smoking sections. The coffee and food was wonderful! We got the kudu and ostrich steaks and they were cooked to perfection along with potatoes and vegetables, all delicious. Would absolutely recommend and the people watching from the patio seating is great since greenmaeker square is just across the way

Dropped In here for some Kurdish coffee and hubbly and some Turkish steak Pizza and a Mezze platter with my Entertainer App sponsored by FNB. Ended up staying for the Belly dancing which was alot of fun. The dancer got everyone In the restaurant up and dancing and doing a train through and outside of the place. Really unexpected fun! Its not sleezy at all. The wives & gfs had just as much fun as the husbands & bfs lol.

An unforgettable experience to be had. Why eat boring old food when you can explore and enjoy a new type of food.Kurdish food is unique and delicious. Loads of choices on the menu at reasonable prices. Waitrons are really friendly and helpful.Sitting on cushions on the floor in its own right is an experience! Throw in belly dancers and hookah pipes with the good food, it truely is a receipe for a fun and unforgettable time.Belly dancers only perform on Friday and Saturday night between 9pm and 10pm, and a R15 charge per head will be added to your bill.Make sure to make a reservation as it can get full.

Awesome experience. At first being squeezed between strangers in the main hall seemed daunting but the warm & cozy atmosphere soon had us relaxed. Food was very tasty & service was good. Belly dancer made the evening getting everyone involved & making a good evening great. Good date night venue. Go before nine to eat & chat & enjoy the entertainment afterwards.

New location doesnt seem to have been good for business and no belly dancer. Food was great though and fortunately we were a big group so entertained ourselves :-)

If there is a zero star rating I would have awarded this restaurant just that. Arrived at 8.15pm. Restaurant totally empty. Ordered our drinks and food. Drinks came but after 1 hour the food never appeared. Customers who came after us were served. This was quite irritating. Will never recommend this place unless you are Mr Patience..

It has potential to be a great dining experience, but currently the place unfortunately lacks in overall service and style. Although our server was friendly, they did not know the menu and really rushed us to place orders, eat and leave. The restaurant was only half full, but we were serviced as if it was packed and that we need to open our tables for the next group. The mezes was great. I would advice not ordering a main and only getting starters. The belly dancer was well trained in her skill and even got us to dance with. With drinks included, average of R400pp.

Always the most delicious meals bonus when Surika the belly dancer performs. Its gives culture to your establishment we need to have more such events. If you up for some Arabian nights then Mesopotamia is the place to be. Super friendly staff very affordable exotic dishes and close your eyes and you will feel like you in a tearoom or shish-a cafe in the far middle east. Keep up the excellent service habibis

Atmosphere was pleasant except that belly dancer went on too long. They were dishonest around billing and overcharged our table and the tables both sides of us, claiming to be an accidental mix up. There was only one woman taking orders and then you would be served by other waitrons. This incurred a compulsory tip of 10% that was not mentioned up front. Furthermore, there was a belly dancing show which incurred a compulsory charge, of which neither were mentioned upfront. Too many

A delightful experience if you’re in the mood to be shamed by the waiters as they can be a bit rude. The hookah was the only good thing about this place. Needless to forget the torn seating and unpleasant smells. The food is overpriced for it’s presentation and taste.Definitely wouldn’t recommend.

Unprofessional. Place that doesn’t want to learn how to make a Shisha. 2 burning coals on just a single layer of aluminum foil and the tobacco is burnt in 3 minutes. All is left for you to smoke is a burnt harsh flavor. And to extra charge for the piece of aluminum is pathetic especially after so much money being spent and tipping. That’s a principle. Greediness kills businesses.

The food was solid, 3 stars for the wait. We ordered the Meze thinking hummus, flat breads, holumi, aubergine dip, felafel, might come quickly, but 50 mins later we were irratated and hungry. At R44 each starter it seemed fairly priced, but... felt short changed on 3 tiny felafel balls. Yet other dishes were generous and we were well fed. We ordered 6 dishes R264 so R130 each. They seemed a bit light on staff. Music fantastic, Sylvestre and his guitarist friends.

My wife & I go to Mesopotamia fairly regularly as it was the location of our first date. The food is amazing - theres a great variety of chicken, lamb and vegetarian dishes that range from entirely mild to very spicy - and it is offered in small starter portions as well as proper-sized main meals (all cooked in a traditional tandoor oven). The atmosphere is unique and makes for a great dining experience - they have belly dancers to entertain you during the evening, which makes for something very different to your usual restaurant. They also have cigars and hookah pipes that you can buy and use respectively, but weve never taken them up on that.It is a little pricey unfortunately - the most recent trip to the restaurent for the two of is cost R410 altogether (including service charge). The price is what stops us going there more often, but as a location for a special evening out, its just perfect.

This is a good place to have dinner in large groups, but pricey with lots of hidden costs! I used a groupon voucher, but had a ZAR120.00 added to the bill because it was a Groupon voucher. This was explained as part of the ts&cs of the deal, but when I went on to examine the deal on the Goupon site the next day, no mention of this at all...But a good, fun vibe will be had here and lots of spicy food!
