The staff are very friendly and the service was great, however the food was lacking. The ham croquettes are always a winner but the tuna poke bowl lacked flavor and strange to have it with no soy sauce or wasabi. The potato chips with the burger just tasted like boiled potatoes not chips. I used to love the food here but unfortunately it has gone down in my opinion.
Such a great spot the venue is stunning. They also recently took over Harbour House which is now my favorite section of La Parada now, I prefer the look and feel. Also the little grass patch for the kids was lovely they just need to close it so the kids can’t run to the parking lot by themselves. What would make it a massive win too is putting a little jungle gym up for the kids. Parents will be thanking you. Food was great, our waiter was slow, the whisky sours tasted awful and the glass of champagne we had, has no bubbles in it.
We had a late breakfast there. Service is not great but the staff is friendly. We ordered eggs Benedict soft but it was medium. No chips for kids before 12h00. Not child friendly as the menu does not cater for kiddies meals. Parking is right in front of the restaurant. Great place to chill with friends if you have time.
Stopped by after the Chapman’s Peak hike for a beer and lunch. Ordered the platter for 3. Food was delicious, meat was tasty. Only problem was that it wasn’t enough for 3. They gave 4 slices of bread, so 2 other people can only have 1 slice. They waiter did not explain what cuts the meat was either so we had to guess which parts we were eating. Other than that food was good and def would come again for other menu items in the future.
A fantastic restaurant situated at the circle, roundabout. There is tons of outdoor seating which is perfect for those spring and summer days nevertheless there is also lots of indoor seating for when the weather is not so good. The food is good at a reasonable price and the waiters are friendly and tentative. Parking is limited but free however there is plenty of additional free parking across the road. Highly recommended.
For premium prices you are getting premium food which looks and tastes amazing. Staff are super helpful and kind. One item ordered didnt arrive at the table, but these things happen, otherwise, its a must visit
Im not sure what food others are getting at this restaurant, but the food is terrible. Please heed this warning, there are better eateries in Cape Town.
Friendly service. Food satisfactory. Loved the choices on the tapas platter for 3. Meant the bill was easier on everyones pocket. Great ambience. Great place to chill on a Friday evening.
Menus and tables were dirty. Not much of a variety food wise and not very affordable for a quick lunch.
I took the tapas special and wasnt disappointed. My highlights were the prawns in chilli sauce, quite hot but accompanied the dish well and the pork belly that was accompanied with a delicate fruity sauce. The tuna tayaki was ok, I feel it lacked a bit of flavour, since the avocado mash on the side is way too mild to complement the dish. The short ribs were well cooked but the tomato sauce accompanying them was too strong and I wished the meat flavour to come out a bit more. If it was something made with fresh chopped tomatoes instead of paste, I fell like it would have been perfect. Duck croquettes I enjoyed and even I feel I would have liked some kind of accompanying condiment, they were quite enjoyable. I rate the food 4 stars, but considering the price, its definitely value for money and they definitely earned another star.Staff also was quite accomodating and I can see they were acting in a safe way in respect of covid regulations.
When I visited during the weekend, the customer service was alright, but the food quality and taste was excellent for all 6 meals we ordered. We all loved the food. But I was disappointed that there were no special drinks available as in milkshakes or mocktails and such, only basic ones like canned drinks and hot beverages. The ambience is calming, with a beautiful garden filled with butterflies and friendly bees. The location is also an excellent place to grab a bite with great views, a beautiful seating area after exploring the hiking trails and acrobranch which are all withing walking distance to the restaurant.
Very nice vibes, the dj performance is always appreciated.Beautiful views and lovely hostesses.
Food was good to really good. Was quiet when we arrived (admittedly a Tuesday afternoon) but they turned up the music and made a vibe.
As with so many other bad reviews mentioning issues with management at the various La Parada venues we also received disgusting treatment by a super arrogant and entitled manageress named Sasha-Lee just before the recent level 4 lockdown. Hospitality is a SERVICE industry, if you are not a peoples person and you cant get to yourself to be friendly and provide the best service possible to your clients and learn how to treat trainees and co-workers with respect then change career paths. Go sit in a dark hole somewhere away from other human beings.La Parada maybe you should hire more mature, experienced managers??(La Parada will now reply with their stock standard copy and paste reply which they do with all negative reviews. Watch this space)
Had a lovely lunch and being part of a very large group its always difficult to comment but will be back
Sitting here for the past hour doing emailsNo one came to assistA big group walked in and there is 3 waiters assisting them
We know the food in Cape Town is good. Such high standards according to this. You can eat everywhere super fancy. So I really like the more low profile vibe of La Parada! Food was really taste, good flavours and portions - and prices are great! The vibe in the restaurant was like a big bar(n). Super and layed back! Really loved the place!!Nice details was that the parking place of La Parada was covered with some nice fancy cars. I think this says a lot about a place ;)
What a great vibe! There was awesome live music the other day, good booze and the toasted sandwiches are great :)
Really nice venue, as it has a lovely view. Can get pretty busy as its a super popular spot. We had a great time and our waitress dis her utmost best to deliver her best service while running around frantically. Food was good, albeit a bit in the pricey side. Nonetheless, will most likely visit again
Pretty Awesome. Love the vibe very friendly staff excellent food
Amazing views from any angle. Superb service from our waitress. We had brunch and the breakfast bun was good. A bit too much sauce for my liking, but even so it was delicious!
Always stop here on bike rides and always get great service.
This marks our fourth visit to La Parada with 5 stars at each visit. The location itself is set next to the lush Constantia nek hiking trail and offers stunning views of the surroundings. The service from staff are friendly and welcoming which extends all the way to the Chef who personally came outside to speak to us about making a lunch meal during the breakfast run. This was one of the best experiences we have had which has been repeated each time we visit, the quality, flavour, presentation and setting have been magnificent after each visit.Highly recommended and well priced servings based on the experience.
Five of us booked for lunch today and the food was outstanding.Service was also good and the view over the valley (we sat inside) was awesome. We had several tapas dishes and presentation was very appetizing and appealing. However the furniture left us cringing a bit. The white table we sat at was chipped everywhere but the worst were the severely stained and dirty chairs we sat on. Not nice at all considering that this is an upmarket venue.
Ive always loved the drive through here its absolutely stunning. With greenery of huge trees shady walking routes mountain biking option tourist red buses kids play center absolutely amazing restaurant at the circle. I love this area its probably my no1 spot in CPT
Lovely tapas. Group of 10, had a great time.
Great experience and service but food is not the best
Just got back from La Parada and I am actually mad at myself for not stating my complaint at the restaurant. The food was terrible I ordered a fillet with salad, the fillet was not fresh at all and the salad was sandy and this was our first time at the restaurant doubt we will come back again.
I had the best experience at La Parada Constantia Nek, went in for dinner and stumbled upon the Sunday Funday? event which was great! Amazing vibe, good music and good crowd. The food was amazing, great quality but still very affordable, our waiters MK and Terry (I hope Ive got their names right) were the best waiters Ive ever had. Sociable, helpful and attentive without being overbearing. Thank you!! The service was really good and I cant say this enough, our table of five all agree we will definitely be back!
Always great fun, great food, drink & atmosphere. Will recommend & go back anytime 👊👍
The biggest, most mouth-savouring T-Bone steak ever enjoyed...all 1kg deliciously consumed..and an awesome mushroom sauce!!
There used to be two restaurants on this site, La Parada and Harbour House. The building is still branded as such but La Parada occupies both sections. The interior of the ‘old’ La Parada section is trendy at night, with barstool and bar-table. It’s kinda sad-looking during the day but still busy. The outdoor seating area is attractive and, during the day, well patronised. The food is fabulous, the service ‘okay’ and the daytime view, if you can grab prime-spot, is wonderful.
Great tapas, generous portions, pork belly a little disappointing but tasty short ribs and sweet potatoes
The food was above imagination, the service was nothing to complain about. The comfort is sitting isnt 5 star but also not bad perse. The place looks okay. While my raw tuna salad wast bad this evening my raw salad from the previous midday at La Parada Water Front was better. It was the best raw tuna i ever had so that might be the reason this was a little of.At the end we had a good time, a good diner, it was also in nearby so whats to complain. They even have more restaurants and i would definitely try the others if i where still there!
First visit to any LA Parada and it surpassed all expectations. We both had the Tapas special (choice of any 3 tapas for R199).All the food was very tasty and the quantity more than enough.Service was good without being obtrusive. Will definitely be back.
Very nice restaurant.Really enjoyed the different seating areas depending how loud youd prefer the music.Lounge type seating in the back is cozy and perfect for a comfortable casual social.Dislike. The fact that you have to leave the premises to have a smoke, whether it be a vape or not whilst there is a really large outdoor seating, empty...I would reconsider that area even if you open 4 tables.
Excellent location, great food and Only is a top class waiter he goes the extra mile
This is an amazing, vibey, lively, busy, and awesome Spanish restaurant. Tucked in the Valley of Constantia, its a gem of a place, we had an awesome time. The food was seriously YUMMY, AND DELICIOUS. The atmosphere and decor is lovely. Whether you sit inside or out its just great.eoth magnificent overviews of the forests in the one side and the wine valley on the other here you have the best of both worlds. Here you feel like you sitting between nature at its best. Except you stuffing your face with Spanish delicious cuisine and enjoying the vibe around you. A very popular venue for celebrations, social gatherings or a romantic outing. Just loved it here.
Surprised to see the place quiet on a Friday night but we quickly realized why.Waiter had a horrible arrogant attitude. I dont want to name and shame but the owners need to be aware. Management were absent. Sad to see a great venue spoiled by the staff.
The food was delicious! Quite a good price price for the high quality food.
Great spot to have a morning beer, afternoon beer, evening beer and hopefully a midnight beer once lockdown is over! Amazing terrace to sit and enjoy the sun!
Also, no extra were too much to ask. We asked for boiled eggs on the salad and they were happy to to it, and did it well.
Great local, top notch coffee and excellent service
Good place, good ambience and good food
Excellent customer service 👏 and great food.
Extremely loud and was served dirty dishes.Waiter asks for a tip since it was their last day and that they wont receive the tip at the end of the day. Large group of people in a really small area with no one wearing a mask, this is surely breaking covid regulations. Waiters also dont wear masks all the time, there is clearly no enforcement of regulations. I was served a dirty cup and spoon when ordering a cappuccino and the food (I order calamari) was subpar. It was about R80 for 13 pieces of calamari, this is absurd! Dont plan on going back, ever.
Worst service I have ever experienced. I would give 0 stars if I could.I was there for my birthday with a group of my friends and had intended to have dinner and drinks (we had booked in advance and that part of the restaurant was not even busy) .It was so shocking that we only got to order drinks after more than 30 minutes and they took some peoples and not others etc... and then we still had to wait ages for them to bring those drinks. We complained to management several times to no avail and eventually left starving and thirsty and took our business to a better restaurant.
Really good breakfast place.
Bouncer lets people push in and doesnt control the line. The cocktail I had wasnt nice. But the food was good. Chilled atmosphere. Nice back drop of Table Mountain National park
Great place, great food
Nice experience, smart setup depending on ones mood.
La Paranda is a convenient coffee stop after our weekly Constantia Green Belt walks. We all had a good coffee and fresh from the oven, crusty, light as a feather croissants served eith grated cheese and a preserve. We found the service most efficient - friendly. The atmosphere is relaxed, the vista pleasant and position comfortably close to were we often walk as a group.
Great tapas menu - the spicy potatoes are the best 😍!
Great live music on a Sunday and delicious food. The mushroom pasta portion is slightly small for the price.
Good service, food average. Quite Pricey
My fave spot after hiking.. Doggo friendly too 💕
Realy enjoyed the vibe, serviceand tacos but found the waiters too pushy
Tapas, views and good service. La Parade is a genuinely nice place and caters for many - lunch, dinner, coffee, drinks and even some party in the evenings. Had nice 5 tapa lunch special. 3 were excellent, 1 ok and 1 not. The prawns and short rib wicked. Service excellent
Great place to go for groups of people and functions. You can enjoy your meal in the open air with the fantastic scenery of the mountain. Food was delicious, had a memorable time there.
Had the tapas special and every dish was delicious! Rene was spinning the best tunes too.
First visit here, had tasty Tapas with friends. Impressed that not only was the table wiped down but table and chairs sprayed with sanitizer before we were seated.....will definitely be back with family
Could easily spend and entirely afternoon/evening here with friends. Good food /drinks and great times
Amazingly beautiful 😍 lovely hosts. Great food.
Nice and relaxed place to go to. Good service.
La parada bought the restaurant next door with an awesome view over the Constantia wine valley. Definate recommend to book a spot that side for a couple or big group.
Amazing vibe , amazing food 👌
They were not that busy, but we had some issues. After filling in the covid forms, the maitre d was gone, so we just showed ourselves to the table. We then waited a bit for a waiter to notice us who then took some time to bring us our menus. When our drinks arrived the ice was dirty. We let the waiter know, he then brought through another glass with dirty ice. The chicken espatada was just oil. The time I came here before this was much better. Maybe we were just unlucky.
So nice I advice to visit it
