Great food! Awesome and inviting vibe with lots of cheerful staff. Loved this place and will definitely be coming back soon. Also one of the best places to have a vegan burger!

Downstairs they serve a lot of German food (the owner is German) and some other international meals in the dining area and on the terrace. There is also a bar. Upstairs it gets a lot louder with a party atmosphere. They play house music, while people enjoy their meals and drinks and some spontaneously get up from their seat to dance to the tunes they enjoy.

Friendly staff, nice cold beer. I tried the red cabbage dish again with beef rollade. It is a very filling dish. Eat this on a cold day, lovely.

Food was really good, I love the restaurant setup and location. It also has a separate smoking area so perfect for any type of customer. I have been to this restaurant twice and both times food was good and I was met with friendly and kind service. Stopped by for breakfast this morning and had a very disappointing experience. We ordered eggs Benedict and flap Jacks, we got a untoasted roll that was thrown together with a piece of ham and sour hollandaise sauce and then the flapjacks tasted like a cornbread mix with strawberries.

Food was very good. Pork was amazing.And we love that they was open late, because other place around was closed already and we was starving. We was very satisfied with setvice and food. Thank you!

Covid 19 protocols were strictly observed here.It can get crowded here. As people come here to smoke, have some shisha and also enjoy football matches.Staff here were very nice, they assisted with our choice of food.The lamb cutlet and potato mash was great but could use some salt as well as the rice with beef.The waiter then indicated that their meals are prepared without salt.. so we should have requested for it to be added 🤦‍♀️.

The place is chilled, the music is dope. The food is great! (try the pizza-the big pizza). There is downstairs and upstairs.. Also upstairs in the balcony (you have the view of the road and the stadium). You can also have your Shisha here. Its really a cool place, whether you are alone, 2.. 3 or more. The busy hours starts around 6 or so... Feel free to tip if you got dope service, am sure they wont disappoint.

Good food. Menu has a variety to cater for any diet. Chilled place, able to smoke hubbly bubbly at this venue. The section upstairs has a vibey environment, R&B music playing in the background. You probably want to arrive early to be seated upstairs as it gets full very quickly. Very accommodating staff.

Front of house was extremely disrespectful and had a attitude towards customers. Had the nerve to tell me as a customer his getting a vibe from me and then refused to sit our party where we requested even after we advised him that we would wait he insisted that its too much effort to move customers after they have been seated. Ontop of all of this he favors his friends or looks of customers over first come first serve basis after telling more then 1 group of people there is no space upstairs yet sitting a group upstairs a minute later who had not made any reservations either. Appalling service from someone who is meant to be the front of house and first point of contact for customers. As a customer who regularly frequents this establishment I will not be returning as this is not the first time that he has had such a terrible attitude towards guest and definitely wont be the last. Will not be suggesting this venue in future to anyone-DISAPPOINTING

This is a very cool place. You can see theyve put a lot of effort into the decor and planning. They have a massive menu with quite a few vegan options, which was great for me.

The food tasted really good! The waiting time was long. The environment is ok if you not crazy about aesthetics.If you want to have drinks and a smoke(hubbly) this would probably be the place for you. I would go back for the food, slightly early before the music and people start smoking.

Your hostess is rude and inappropriate. You cannot ask a woman entering a restaurant if they pregnant or not. That is offensive and inappropriate, that is policing a woman. Do better!

Amazingly friendly and chilled experience

The tip policy should be clearly stated as we had a great meal but our waiter argued about the tip we gave which ruined our experience.

Had a terrible experience, place is overcrowded. No social distancing and covid protocols werent in place. People were sitting on top of me whilst having a meal. I stayed for all of 20 minutes to get my food and leave.One of the employees that allows people to enter or not insulted me. Before I even sat down. Told me I look pregnant and if I am I cant be there.Definitely wont be returning to a once loved and frequented place of mine.

The best place to have after hours cocktails and good food.Mo-Fr cocktail happy hour from 5pm to 8pm. 50% off cocktails. Monday is pizza night, 2 for 1. Really the best hang out spot in the Atlantic Seaboard. German owned 😉

Standard food, roast pork was good, but for a German place I would have expected a bit more to be done with the sour cabbage, just out the can is no good. Also a pork sausage is not a Russian cut into pieces.

I want to give this a 5 star, the food it AMAZING!!!. But it’s hard when *some* of the staffs( downstairs) and the hostess are horrible at customer service.The workers don’t have teamwork and they work as if they just came for a check. There’s no spark nothing! If you’re in an industry you need to play the part. Staff needs coaching ( the hostess hmm).

The atmosphere at the Cafe is quiet spectacular at night. Friendly staff, who go out of their way to assist you. A nice selection of drinks, the food was good and they also serve hubblies.

The pizza was not that good at all , the vibes of the place I did not like , it needs maintenance & renewal of their decor & whole business module. Or maybe the place is not my style.

Visited the restaurant to celebrate a friends birthday. Initially we were seated downstairs outside but quickly moved upstairs where it is more comfortable. This was possible since two of our friends were regulars and this came to our advantage. I loved the customer service and quick turnaround on both food and drinks. What I particularly liked was the person serving us pointing out the specials of the night. The music and vibe was also very nice and matched our preferences. Overall great experience. Would definitely visit again.

Was deeply disappointed in the service. A simple table issue had occured which could have been sorted out easily. We initially were a group of 4 however not all parties were present at time of arrival. There were two other parties who asked us to join a six seater table as it had started to rain where we were seated. Apparently that went against your policy. Which did not make any sense as essentially instead of taking three individual 2 seater tables we wanted a six seater. All members would have been present in no time. The host and waitress were not accommodating at all and actually voiced their opinions about the matter in such a way that had offended me deeply as well as partially ruined my evening and made us want to leave. In no other business have I received this much grief over table seating. Subsequently, all tables were filled regardless. Customer is apparently not always right.

Music needs alot of work......... the DJ never takes any of the guests into consideration with music taste. Ive requested songs many of times because I go alot and yet everytime they say they will play it but then never do.....really spoils the vibe for my table. Only playing music for certain type of people thus should change or get a new DJ. I went countless of times and they have played the same stuff and repeating I can be the dj and use my phone

Must say service was terrible on Monday in the VIP had to argue with a waiter about sitting on the balcony. Was served by three different people and I waited for a long time to get my drink that I ordered during happy hour just to find out they only put it through when happy hour was done. Food also took a while and it wasn’t that busy on Monday.

This is one of my favourite breakfast spots in Green Point and probably even Cape Town. Came here about 5 times over 3 weeks and was always served by incredibly friendly staff. The breakfast is great and really good value for money

Nice vibes at this place. You can enjoy a great hookah ( shisha ) while indulging the good food. Nice variety of drinks available. Easy relaxed atmosphere. Place has two floors. Top for smoking and sport bar set up with good upstairs outdoor seating. Bottom floor is more of a restaurant atmosphere.side walk seats to watch the people walk up and down in the area. Overall really a nice place worth going if you enjoy hookah and nice food in the city.

Place to check out, pizzas are great and they have hooka with a good range of flavours.

I’ve been here on two occasions in the past and both times were amazing experiences. Unfortunately, I cannot give a review this time as we weren’t given any service. The host had a horrible attitude and completely dismissed our request to be seated upstairs. We understand that the upstairs seating was full but when we said we were willing to wait, his response was: ‘You can do that, but I can’t promise you will get a table. You can stay if you want.’ Surely there should be some type of system in place to seat guests on a full night?After watching a number of people who arrived after us being taken upstairs to be seated, we decided to leave. The perception was that only certain people or friends of the staff are allowed upstairs. This unpleasant experience could have been avoided had the host communicated clearly and in a tone that was appropriate for customers who are willing to pay to be there. I’m afraid I will not be returning. Thanks for the memories, Extra blatt.

The greatest fries and sauce 😁 I love Extrablatt for the McDonalds like fries with a sauce of your choice. My wrap wasnt as great, as it lacked some flavour. The service is of a good standard.

I had an absolute wonderful time at Cafe ExtraBlatt.The lunch Chicken Salad was absolutely amazing and worth the cost. The Hot chocolate and peppermint cheesecakes was also looooovely! 😍🍫😂In addiction, the selection of music was great and you allowed to smoke okka on the premises as well 🤗

The service is HORRIBLE. i won’t recommend this place to anyone. my friend and I drove all the way from Bellville to Greenpoint to enjoy a pipe and eat some food because i was impressed by the place but tonight was something else. the waiters need to step up and they need to comply with covid 19 rules. there were more than 50 people in the cafe and it was so noisy and chaotic. one star is too much for this place actually

It is a nice vibe especially in the evenings. They can improve on the music as the DJ repeats the same songs otherwise that is my new spot.

I came once for the Christmas lunch. Was a bit disappointed some of the mentioned food was not served like the cabbage and baby potatoes but either than that I realy enjoyed it more especially your potato salad. It was realy tasty. Made to perfection. Another disappointment was the meats being served late when the sweet potato mash and the broccoli and cauliflower salad had started getting cold. It was a bit of a wait for lunch that had been organised days before and was known it would be hosted.As far as your staff is concerned I was quite impressed we had a good waitress and your manager kept on checking as well if everything is still okay.
