Not great service. Meds on repeat script not available last month and not available again this month. Was promised it will be ready today, called this morning not ready, was told I will be called when it arrives, its 4.50pm and no reply, even though the web page- says they close at 6pm. Last month, meds not there, next day still couldnt get the meds because the card machine wasnt working and I didnt have cash on me. This isnt great service from a pharmacy and nobody really seems phased.

Shockingly poor service at this pharmacy. Since I started going there near the end of last year it has been a monthly battle to get my chronic meds from them. Imagine a pharmacy that do not stock medication and that is what Webb and Savoy, Plumstead are! I tried everything- I used their WhatsApp service to request my meds at least three days before I needed them; I phoned to follow up that my meds would indeed be ready .... think again!!!!! Virtually EVERY month when I got there I was told the driver had not delivered meds yet. How on earth do you offer such hideous service and expect to have customers? Yesterday was the end of it for me- again told shortfall on my meds DESPITEwhatapp message 3 days ago and follow up phone call on my part. You people should be ashamed of yourselves.

Absolutely terrible service! When they were in Mowbray they never had stock and I see the nurse for something extremely serious each time I go. They never informed me when they moved. I am a very loyal customers and continued to be loyal despite all the issues they have given me. Today I went to Plumstead and was told the nurse will only be back next year. Again, very unprofessional because they never even called to say that she won’t be in. These people are extremely unprofessional and I would not recommend them.

Absolutely pathetic.1) I originally gave in my prescription for chronic meds here, however they never had stock of any of the meds required, despite knowing that I need restocks. I eventually took my prescription back and handed it in to another pharmacy.2) On multiple occasions I went there to get a salbutamol (non prescription) asthma inhaler, however on all occasions they had no stock. I had to go elsewhere.3) My mom has gone there on multiple occasions to get ibuprofen, of which they were always out of stock. Naturally she needed to go to another pharmacy.4) I went there once to get paracetamol, however they were out of stock (no surprise).Despite seemingly never having stock of even the bare essentials, some of the dispensary staff were downright rude. The one positive to say is that the tellers have all been extremely friendly and welcoming. I hope that they eventually find employment elsewhere.Do not waste your time going to this pharmacy. There are a number of 1 star reviews on here, and that is for a good reason.

Staff friendliness is okay, but the management/organisation is extremely bad. Essential medications are always out of stock, so much so that the pharmacist encourages you to call in advance so that they can order for you...but its a common medicine and surely others will need it too? I have had to go back to get the remainder of a months worth of vitamin B tablets. Two days ago, I went to the pharmacy at 6pm and found that it was closed. There was no sign or anything to indicate why or when it will reopen. When I called the next day, staff didnt seem to even be aware that it had been closed somehow? They input data poorly: I gave them a prescription for several months, but when I went back to get the next months medication, they told me that the prescription was more than 6 months old, which it definitely was not.If youre going to get panado or whatever, its probably fine, but if you have chronic medication needs or something that will be dangerous if you dont get things on time, best avoid.

Some of the staff are great at what they do. But it seems there is definitely a stock problem .Thus far I didnt get what I needed. Such a waste of petrol.Rather call before visiting them...

It is convenient to visit the pharmacy, because it closes late, but you pay for the convenience. The area surrounding the pharmacy is not that nice and it has happened on occasion that staff followed me around in the front shop, making sure that I don’t steal anything. I was seriously offended by that.

Pathetic service. When I phoned in for the 1st time, they said they don’t do bookings or appointments and that I should just come in and wait. Many months later I try calling, it rings and rings but no answer. When I arrive, the lady is on the phone talking to someone. After about 5 minutes of me waiting at the counter listening to her talk on the phone, another lady asks me if I need help, by that time, lady one on the phone was finished.I said to them that it’s not really okay that their phone “isn’t working” when she was just on it. Oh phones aren’t working properly she said. She then said I must take a seat, the doctor is running late. So I asked how long it would be until the doctor could see me. She replied with saying that it will be long as the doctor has other appointments to adhere to first.Needless to say I left.

You be hard pressed to find a friendlier pharmacy than Webb & Savoy. Its old fashioned in the sense that the pharmacists are never to busy to answer your questions and are always friendly and more helpful than any other pharmacy I have been to in Cape Town. And theyre open till 10pm - real people and real nice!

Im not sure how a phamacy does not even stock measuring syringes, spoons, or cups!? Its not that they just currently dont have stock, they no longer even stock something so basic. How do people measure out medication bought there? Are they suppose to go get that at another pharmacy after they have bought their medication? The staff are also unhelpful and unfriendly, the one helping me did not even bother going to look for them. How do they have a clinic? Im pretty sure even the most basic of clinics require something to measure medication. Strange. I need a new regular pharmacy for my prescriptions that is closer to my new flat, Webbs and Savoy will definitely not be it. AVIOD THIS SORRY EXCUSE FOR A PHARMACY.

Travel a little further to get to another pharmacy- this ones a waste of time. Out of stock of a lot items, unhappy staff, generally a gloomy vibe.

If i could put ZERO stars I would.Webb and Savoy has gone from one of the best Pharmacies in Cape Town to the worst! As a family living in the area we have seen it sink into a pathetic excuse of its former self.Guess that’s what happens when new owners lack the vision and authenticity of the ´family’ phamacy. So, if you want Chinese pastic toys and handbags it’s the place for you.
