We are loving our lessons with Dory! She’s gentle, kind, and very good at what she does. My son is a nervous new swimmer and she has already helped him to relax and feel comfortable in the water after just three lessons. He says “she’s a fun teacher and she teaches proper swimming. She explains what I must do. And she gives me stickers! (6 year old priorities, right there!!)

Dory is amazing with Children and is very thorough. Does not move on to the next step until your child is ready.My son loves Dory and going to swimming. He asks often to go just and have a swim with her.

We have been so fortunate to discover Ms Dory. She is able to communicate and connect with our daughter at her level. Her patience is second to none. The facilities are excellent and pool is always sparkling. Highly recommended!

Dorey is brilliant with our son and what he has learnt in the last 10 sessions with Dorey makes him a strong swimmer in almost any type of water. Dorey even takes kids down to the sea to practise swimming there. She connects well with children and while teaching with a firm stance allows giggles and laughs to bubble to the surface too.

Dory has been the most fantastic teacher for my son, I couldnt have found a better one. When my son started at 5yrs old he wouldnt even put his face in the water and now a year and a bit later he is diving in voluntarily and will swim for hours at a time when allowed. It has given me so much peace of mind knowing he is capable in the water. He was a very nervous boy but has learnt to float on his back even though he hates the water in his ears, and has been introduced to all the strokes - favouring the froggy (breast) stroke.Dory is fun, patient, understanding but firm - the best combination you could ask for and my son always looks forward to swimming with her as they have bonded so amazingly.

Swimming with Dory is the place to go if you need lessons for your child (or indeed for yourself). Dory (her name is Tamsyn) is an experienced teacher who has a fantastic rapport with kids. She is firm but encouraging and supportive. Each lesson is focused on understanding the needs of the child and what she/he needs to work on to be confident and safe in the water. Our daughter loves swimming with Dory and she has made excellent progress in her short time under Tamsyns tutelage.I highly recommend swimming lessons with Dory!Thanks Tamsyn!

Dory is wonderful! She is friendly, fun and down to Earth. Dory takes her time getting to know your child and creates a beautiful trusting bond for your child to learn in the best way for them. She is patient and loving. I love watching Dory work as she has so much passion for her work and teaching children how to be safe around and in water.

We have done all sorts of lesson types with Dory (Tanya); individual lessons (15 minutes), tots class (30 minute group class with parents) was well as semi-private lessons (30 minutes with 3 or 4 kids) prices are all pretty reasonable when compared to other swim schools in the valley.Dory is wonderful with the kids and they all love her. She is fun but is firm when necessary. How she finds the patience on some days is beyond me, bit she is always ready to explain and repeat instructions as necessary. She is good at pushing kids to strive towards goals and to explore all swimming strokes. My 4 year olds has already been exposed to (and had a quick attempt at) all four of the swim strokes; freestyle, butterfly, back and breast stroke.As a person, away from the swim School, Dory is a wonderfully bubbly woman, full of life and is always ready to get it done.

I have an extremely happy Grandson, Named Logan, Who absolutely ADORES Coach/ Teacher DORY.... She has an amazingly patient approach to Children.... They take to Dory, as a fish takes to water.... Dory is an amazing coach. Her passion and enthusiasm for swimming is infectious. She posseses a profound knowledge of swimming theory and knows how to translate that in to practice in a fun way. You will be hard pressed to find a better coach.

My two daughters had been swimming at another swim school in the valley for just over four years, and coach Dory has been their teacher for the past year and a half. I am so pleased we made the decision to move the girls to Swim With Dory.During the weekly lessons I had plenty of time to observe her teaching methods and have come to know her as a dedicated, exstreamly passionate and caring person. She was never too busy to chat to parents and gave feedback when necessary. Tanya, affectionately known as Dory, is a confident instructor who really takesthe wellbeing of her students, and her swim school, to heart. She not only taught insidethe pool, but also expanded her students’ skills by visual learning and pocket-sized booklets to help them master different techniques. She has organized swimming galas with other swim schools to inspire and her little swimmers and promote the sport. Truly passionate about her craft, she even extended the regular half-hour lessons – sacrificing her own time – to allow for more hands-on teaching.Teacher Dory was firm when necessary and demanded commitment from her students, but her lessons are always fun and exciting. Everyone i talk to or mentioned in conversation, Dory comes highly recommended and her students as well as parents are genuinely fond of her. My daughters’ swimming has really improved under her care and they both now love the sport again. They cant wait for the lesson every week.

Fantastic teacher. Ive learnt more from Swim with Dory than any other schools Ive been to before. Will highly recommend this school.

Suitable for all ages and all swimming levels. Sometimes if I missed a class, I was allowed to come back for a make up class ! (but please dont make it a habit.. haha) There is a lounge/garden where you can relax and wait if you happen to arrive early. Homely setting. Mostly 1-on-1 lessons. Occasionally shared the pool (with no problems) with another person. Learnt fast. Dory was born to swim and teach. She is a top instructor, fun to learn from, and now a friend. 5-stars.
