Here we go...So many of us know the Cape Flats and always pass judgement on these areas, but lets be real...This place speaks volumes about how powerful changes can make great impacts.Took my kids there two weeks ago, and I was awestruck by the safety put in place, the cleanliness, the friendly staff and the lifeguards that are on point.Im super impressed

I really enjoy Retreat indoor swimming pool. The water is always crystal clear, the lifeguards are on their toes. You can only swim in certain items which is great. I do have one issue and that is to stop allowing kids to enter without adult supervision .. Where are the parents??

The experience was very nice,not to crowded,pity about no showers.

Very friendly. Electric atmosphere. World class swimming instructors. Learn to swim instructors for those who want to learn. Not only one club that use the venue so you will have options.

Awesome. Well maintained, Lifeguards friendly and helpful including the staff. I enjoy swimming there and the fact that they cater for pensioners. One suggestion though is that the stairs are not pensioner friendly. I actually watched the lifeguards help a disabled person to get out using the steps. A very difficult task. Maybe just one set of flat steel steps could be installed to make it manageable for pensioners and those with dissabilities

Community based swimming pool. Very clean and accessible facility

Very good value for money and a huge, mostly empty pool. No membership needed. My only gripe is that at the edge of the water where the tiles come up out of the water, there is black mould. This is really dangerous and can cause serious illness in some people. The mould must he treated asap but it looks like its been there for years.

I stay in the area for over 50 years, and was at the baths a few times, but the first time since its been renovated - - beautiful place--will be visiting again soon.

Excellent community pool, lots of space, covered, heated

We usually spend about 1hr30 here. The kids enjoy it. There are lifeguards on duty and they keep the swimmers in check for everyones safety. Place always clean but can get very busy. The staff are always friendly. Strict Covid-19 protocols in place.

Its a blessing and opportunity to keep fit during winter months

Its accessible. Its cheap. Gets hectic during the holidays but otherwise very quiet.

The lifeguards are helpful & friendly, BUT the pool manager & her assistants have zero people skills. They have bad attitudes, are unfriendly, unhelpful & arrogant. The facilities, on the other hand, are excellent, but the management & staff have put me off from visiting this public facility again. Unless they change their attitudes & learn to deal with people properly, I remain reluctant in visiting this swimming pool in the future. It seems like their goal is to discourage & turn people away so that they have less work to do. The fewer people they have using the pool, the less effort they have to put in.That seems to be their philosophy. Its a shame such an excellent & promising facility is managed by such incompetent people who have no idea how to deal with their community.

Water was crystal clear... Had quite the refreshing swim

Absolutely love it... The best indoor pools I have ever been to... From the moment you walk in they make you feel safe... I was standing in line with my 90 year old granny and the staff came to fetch her out of the line. I love this pools and will recommend it to everyone.

First , kudu s to the wonderfully helpful staff.Enclosed pool is fantastic. Well maintained swimming pool 🏊‍♀️ and amenities.Showers🚿, toilets 🚻 , changing rooms wheelchair friendly ♿ , lifeguards ⛑ and security all contributes to a wonderful time swimming .Even a tan is possible when the gate to garden deck is open .Highly recommended.

Large pool now covered making it one of the larger indoor council pools.

It was a disgrace and utterly bad horribly managed stood in a line for 3hours with my kids and ended up not swimming

Decent facilities, attentative lifeguards

The staff are firm but friendly and helpful. The facilities are clean and well kept. It was an enjoyable experience two days in a row. I will certainly be back.

Big kids should come out of the small kids pool and stop splashing the water they are scaring the little ones

Public pools that offer swimming lessons at virtually no cost. Large pool up to an excellent standard with heating that was recently installed... hopefully this will grow to further

Clean amenities and nice to take a swim in the pool. Be careful of driving thru Lavenderhill to get to this place as it is hidden between the residential area.

Such a great indoor swimming pool for the community🏊‍♂️🏊‍♀️. There is parking bays available inside🚙🚗. Security is also available everyday to watch your vehicle. There are toilet and changeroom facilities🚹🚺. The pools are very well maintained and there are quite a few lifeguards on lookout all day. There is paid💲swimming lessons offered to the community member only, trust me its a RIDICULOUS amount to pay for the quality of service offered. These I structors are experienced and qualified to teach from beginners to advanced swimming👩‍🎓. Nice spacious indoor facility with life guards on duty.

Went there this morning and even though they were open we were told we cant swim because there isnt a life guard and the life guard might be in on the weekend. All staffed with nothing to do. Apparently a public swimming pool that is dependent on when life guard feels like showing up.

Community based swimming pool utilized by quite a few swimming clubs. With winter the heating system should be urgently addressed for it not to become a white elephant during the colder months.
