We visited The Eatery at Silver forest for lunch with friends. The prices are a bit higher than your average restaurants, but absolutely worth it. You are treated like royalty from the get go. The food is superb and the service is equally good. I would highly recommend anyone to go and experience what quality should be.

This place is an absolute Gem, if you need some peace and quiet in nature, with the sound of birds around, this is the place to be. Exceptional hospitality service by the owners and staff. The Spa on the premises is a plus to unwind and getting rid of some tension muscles. Although under level 4 lockdown the restaurant was closed unfortunately but we were served with a in-room continental breakfast on a tray which was lovely. We will definitely return.

We spent part of a morning at the Spa. The setting amongst the trees is like out of a fairy-tails book. The service was superb and the massage was wonderful. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a treat.

Super experience. They have recently added a nice gazibo next to their outdoor pizza oven and we enjoyed a picturesque date night with pizza and wine. Friendly staff too.

What a lovely hidden gem at the top of Somerset West. Wife was treated to a pedi at the spa for her birthday and we all stayed for lunch. Great value and delicious. Had a burger with fries (photo) and another side of roasted cauliflower with reduced sriracha. Yummy.All Covid protocols followed. The venue was quite full, so Id say booking is essential.

The place is beautiful in a serenely quiet area. But would appreciate it if it could be wheelchair friendly. The waiters are very helpful and friendly.

I WAS very excited to go to Silver Forest as I have only heard good things from them. I waited 3 days after Silver Forest reopened (after lock down) to email and phone to find out when I could make a booking for myself and my family at the spa. All I will say is that reception is incredibly rude, condescending and talked over me multiple times. I am incredibly sorry that I did not phone to book 2 weeks in advance despite you being closed. But I am very grateful that you have made my decision so much easier to choose another spa facility. Good service - where? Not here.

The spa hotel might be great.I dont find the new restaurant food not that great for the price one pays. No taste and he sauce was too watery.I was very disappointed.Im a better chef at home.Also why doesnt the owner greet its guest than sit on her bum.I will say thank you to our two waiters that were great and understood our complaint. .Darlington and Bryan you guys rocks.

Amazing venue, good pizza!

It felt like an adventure getting up there but it was so worth it. It has been a long time since I have tasted food this good. The service was outstanding. I really couldnt fault it and I am a master at coming up with constructive criticism....😆

It is located on the hilly side of Somerset west in the posche area.The views of the nearby sea and strand beach are magical.The hotel is very new, just 3 years old. Its one of the elegant places in the area.The staff are so friendly.The reception area though seems to suggest that of a Spa only place although it caters for in house guests. By the way, the reception is for both the hotel and Spa but one guest checking in would think they are not in the correct check in place.Its still a beautiful place though.

The place and the service that was provided, was exceptional. The cottage was very comfortable and clean.The only downside was that the food from The Eatery was rather oily, bland and quite pricey for its quality. We had a serving of nachos (R165, below average), later then had The Eatery burger (R125, all I could taste was oil and a very dry bun) and Stuffed Chicken (R145, also very oily and bland). However the breakfast was great.Overall, I would definitely recommend!

Had a great experience at the Silver Forest Spa. I made a booking for my husbands birthday for our entire family (mommy, daddy and 2 kids) I dealt with Mary when making the booking who went above and beyond to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. She was warm, inviting and accommodating. The treatments were wonderful, we had 30 minutes in the Jacuzzi followed by a 30 minute back, neck and shoulder massage and finished with a facial. They had great technique with the massage and made sure we were comfortable the entire time. The kids loved their treatments too. Would definitely recommend The Silver Forest Spa.

We only visited for a spa treatment and it was delightful. The staff were so professional and welcoming. The massage itself was great and there was a brilliant attention to detail from management to masseuse. A highly recommended treat.

Nestled among the trees on the Helderberg Mountain is this gem. The setting is stunning and the facilities and rooms are tastefully interior designed. All the rooms have all the mod cons. The owners are hands on and go out of their way to give you a first class experience. From welcome ritual to night time drink. The spa can compete with the best out there. The therapist are professional and really good. The breakfast is above average. We really enjoyed our stay and can highly recommend to anyone. We will go back.

Absolutely loved this place! The only reason why Im not giving a 5 star rating is because of their communication. We ended up asking 3 times where we needed to go next and we were told that staff members will call us for our next treatments but they never did so we ended up losing some valuable thermal treatment time because we were not called out to our next treatment. Please guide your guests as not everyone knows where to go or what to do. I will definitely return as it was still an amazing experience with delicious food!

About a year ago, I sent my wife to the Silver forest spa. I work away from home for most of the year, and my wife works in Somerset West, and takes care of the kids on her own while Im away.Needless to say, she takes on a lot of stress playing the part of two parents, and every now and then she needs some well deserved rest.We did some research, and came across the Silver forest spa, which was at that stage the most expensive option, but I thought let me spoil her.She arrived there, and was immediately very impressed with the place, and the staff. She told me that all she wanted, was a couple of nights of good rest, to reset her mind and prepare for the year ahead, so what better place to get it than there.She went for a bath, just to find out that the water in the extremely expensive room she stayed in, didnt work, she reported it to reception, and their solution to the problem was that she had to take her towel, and go and shower in the spa... Unacceptable for someone who paid to lie and relax in a bath. For the remainder of the time she spent there, there were maintenance workers and plumbers in and out of her room. Absolutely unacceptable...It ended up being a more stressful couple of days, than it would have been taking care of the kids at home. At one point during the weekend, she phoned me in tears, and said that she just wanted to go home, but if she did she would miss out on the treatments we paid for already.She put in a complaint to the owner of the spa, who was very apologetic about her experience there, and gave her, via email, a guarantee that she and a partner can come and stay at the Spa for free for one night, which in my opinion, was a very poor attempt to reconcile the horrible experience my wife endured there, but she isnt one to complain, and accepted the offer.About a month ago, we were looking for a place to make a quick getaway for a couple of days, when she remembered about the voucher she still had at the Silver forest spa. She sent them a mail asking if they had any rooms available, to which they replied, and said that they did. She then mentioned the email she has regarding the one free night, etc, to which the Silver forest spa responded: Well in that case, we will only charge you the late booking fee... Which I may add was the same as a normal booking fee. Needless. To say, we declined the offer. We didnt want to risk going there, and not have running water in our room or something else go wrong, and get another empty promise which the Silver forest spa would not honor.We will not be going back there. It just goes to show you that the most expensive isnt always the best. I would recommend not paying up front when visiting the Silver forest spa, at least you would have some leverage if you were to have the same experience my wife did.

Booked spa treatments for my 30th birthday. I must say one of the best spas I have been too. Beautiful location and facilities. My therapist Nyasha was incredible. Friendly and very knowledgeable and explained the treatments. Will definitely be back again!

Disappointing visit yesterday. Forgotten order, inattentive waiters. Food had to be sent back to be heated. Telephonic booking not captured. Everything seemed to unravel in a place I found pleasing in the past.

What an amazing spa... Tranquility, and beauty throughout. Cant wait to come back again.

The accommodation was very clean and welcoming. The air conditioner made a really loud noise and the lack of a bath (due to local water restrictions) wasnt matched by a luke warm low pressure shower. Wasnt expecting that from a 5 star resort. Bring your own dish washing liquid and sponges if you plan to make food there. The spa was really amazing.

We went for a couple massage, what a disaster. The therapist kept talking to me and spoilt the treatment.

Recently visited the Spa for a girlfriends birthday treat and it was AMAZING. The massage and facial was to die for, we felt so spoilt and relaxed. We had the most delicious lunch afterwards (and I mean delicious) at their restaurant the Eatery - great menu, freshly prepared and beautifully presented by Chef Tiaan. Cant wait to do it all over again.

The ladies that did our massage were great and the place is beautiful. Apart from the ripoff that we had to pay for full package even though we were taken pillar to post on what was booked and what was not booked, we got in the thermal suite and we were taken out but at the later stage they say we can go back in an we were charged and the lady in front made it our issue that we canceled.

If you want some peace and quiet, youve come to the right place. The hotel is superb, with a very nice and friendly welcome. The owner I believe is more English, and is very welcoming and friendly, so is the staff. The place is a welness centre as well as a hotel. I stayed in one of the back rooms, which are amazing. Very comfy, beautiful, clean, nothing mre to say than perfect. You get a private terrasse if the weather allows it. I was there in the winter, maling it super cosy, because of the fireplace to heat the room. Breakfast is also very good. Has a pool and an outside bar.
