I have hosted a number of workshops here. They have a well equipped conference venues. The staff are very friendly, the pools are kept clean and the rooms are beautiful.

Initially, I did not want to say anything, scared of being labelled as the “dramatic bride”, but after 2 months of being stuck in Bali on honeymoon and eventually getting back to SA and sharing my experience with friends and family, I realized that I need to make you aware of my extreme disappointment which I experienced with you on the day of my WEDDING.I booked one of your Bridal Packages for my wedding day on 14 March 2020 (which was quite expensive, especially considering the following points I will be making), which I’m sure you will be able to trace on your system. Upon my arrival with my 3 bridesmaids that morning, there was no one to receive us. We had to stand around and ask parking attendants on the premises if they knew where we had to go. My maid of honor decided to phone reception and ask for directions to our preparation room. One would think that this would result in someone coming to assist us, but this was not the case and we eventually found our room on our own.My immediate reaction upon walking into the room was “ Is this it?” I felt like I was duped by the website/marketing material. But this was the least of my worries.My eyes fell upon a cheese and fruit platter on the desk, cling wrapped. Now, I realize that this was included in the package I bought, but surely this should rather have been freshly prepared and brought to the room by a staff member? It did not look appetizing at all and ended up being the joke of the morning. Not to mention the champagne glasses that looked like it was used for someone’s 1985 matric farewell. No offence to the matriculates of 1985. There was just Zero attention to detail.…At this point I was still expecting a staff member to walk up the stairs to meet us….but nothing.My maid of honor phoned your reception, again, and asked if the kitchen could perhaps prepare a small breakfast for myself and my bridesmaids (which we would have paid for of course) as we have not eaten yet. We were told that this was not going to be possible as you were too busy that morning. Needless to say we were a bit taken aback and quite shocked. 2 of my Bridesmaids had to leave and get us takeaways for breakfast. I felt so special.Not once did someone pop by the room to introduce themselves, to represent the guesthouse, to ask if we needed anything. No refreshments offered. Nothing. Luckily we had 1 bottle of champagne included in the package and we decided to bring 2 extra bottles.At one point I phoned reception, yes, again, and requested that the lady I booked the package with, please come and meet me at the room. I found it quite strange and a bit eerie that I had to phone the guesthouse I was sitting in to meet a staff member. Nevertheless, I was met by a flustered young lady who I could see did not quite know what to make of me conveying my frustrations. I ended up feeling bad for her and decided to make the best of what is left of my morning.When my mom arrived for her turn in the makeup chair (bringing my own champagne glasses to appear in my photos), she decided to have a bite of the fruit platter, bless her soul, but quickly realized that there was no knife to cut the cheese…..Fast forward another hour and we were blessed by a session of load shedding. No worries, they must have a generator, surely…Shamelessly, I phoned reception again. “Yes”, the lady informed me, they do have a generator….in the conference room. I sensed that I was not going to get much sympathy from this person so without further ado my makeup artist and I made our way to the conference room to do my hair……. I tried my best to not make this a big deal but I could see the pity in my makeup artists eyes. No bride would ever want to sit in a conference room to do her hair for the biggest day of her life. Not once did someone come and apologize for the inconvenience.I laughed this off that morning, but subconsciously this infiltrated my entire day.I sincerely hope that this was a one-time thing and that you will make other brides feel more special, as they deserve to feel on their big day.

We had an exceptional stay. Very friendly staff! The venue itself is beautiful and well looked after. It was also a quiet and spacious room.

The owner and staff are there to attend to and accommodate your guests every need... I am totally in love with this property and highly recommend it for your next conference /business meeting or just because you need a fantastic getaway.. Evertsdal has put in the effort....you dont have to do anything it scores that perfect 10!!

This is a great guesthouse. The rooms and bathrooms and spotless and quite big. Really is what it looks like on the pictures. Very helpful staff. Also does dinner on arrangement. Each room has working air-cons, DSTV, and affordable mini bar. Will most certainly go back if in the area.

Home away from home. The facilities are fantastic with spacious rooms and beautiful gardens. They serve a very good breakfast. Internet was upgraded to a much better much faster system which was a huge upgrade and proof that they listen to suggestions form their clients. They are knowledgeable about Cape Town and surrounds and can give some advice on things to see and how to get around.

Great venue. Wonderfully helpful staff. Rooms are spotless. Good conferencing facilities.

Exceptional 5 star guesthouse facilities

Exquisite establishment, well kept. Rooms spacious and well layed out. Always a pleasure to stay over. Friendly, fast service with a touch of home to it. Breakfast venue may seem small, but really is ample and adds to the home feel.

We have used this venue for Parties, accommodation, conferences and our baby shower, food and services is next level

I love this place. The staff are so friendly and helpful. We had to leave early the next morning, so they even made us breakfast parcels the night before.Lovely location as well, near Tygervalley mall and Speak Easy restaurant.

It is a lovely guest house. Was very easy to find and the setting was beautiful. Many little touches, like the chocolates, rusks and delicious biscuits with the coffee made it extra special.

Ideal place to stay if you dont like crowded, touristy areas. Extremely helpful staff, neat and clean rooms. Hot breakfast, variety of cereal, fruit, English breakfast. Also has very nice out Seating area. There are also Braai pits in each house and a mobile one, available to guests all the time.

The venue was beautiful and fully equipped for a workshop. Staff was professional and welcoming. The food was disappointing.

We had our end of year function at Evertsdale guest house and we all loved the serenity and privacy it provided.

I stayed here for two weeks and absolutely loved it, despite not being very close to shops, restaurants, etc. Would stay again - definitely! Btw - deserves 10 STARS!Just stayed again and I still rate it at a MINIMUM of 10 STARS !!Guess what? Im back for a third time and I have to say that Evertsdal still deserve a MINIMUM of 10 STARS! Its really, really nice here and the staff are so good. I hope to be back soon...Back yet again! This is such a pleasant Guest House! The staff are all so friendly and nice and helpful. One other thing to add is about breakfast. Im not a breakfast fam but even I have to say the breakfasts are really really really good. You can have fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal, toast, full English, omelette, toasties, wraps, sausages, mushrooms, tomatoes, bacon, eggs, juice, coffee, tea - gosh, the list goes on and on... and its all good!!TEN stars at the very least!
