Was such a nice hike. Took about hour and a bit each way. Very easy, you can basically only go straight so you cant get lost. Amazing views past Camps bay of the ocean. Saw a lovely sunset. Got a bit caught up by time and had to walk back in dark, but felt very safe regardless. You reach an intersection later where u can decide to go down to camps bay, up to the reservoir or to continue.
One awesome hiking trail...good for beginners and for dog-runners. A picturesque view of camp bay and the beach. There is different off trail such as diagonal cave, kasteelspoort and so on.Those who like to take pictures...there are good flora and fauna. Beautiful plant. Trail runner use this trail for training for marathon, comrades and road runner. You will never be dissappointed.
Amazing path all along the edge of the mountain on the Camps Bay side. Not too strenuous and not dangerous at all insofar as ledges and cliffs and exposures are concerned. Many people walk their dogs along this path. Some runners also likes this route, and of course plenty of hikers. It is however advisable to be in a group even though Ive never came across anyone with ill intent along this trail, it is just safer when you have numbers on your side.
I always enjoy returning to the pipe track. Its a great experience for beginner hikers or a fun stroll with your family. Spectacular views and friendly people along the way. Overall a good chance to get fit without feeling like you will never make it till the end because you can stop at anytime to enjoy the scenery.
Wonderful walk! A beginners walk with some step-climbs here and there. We walked on a cloudy day, but the views were amazing.
Beautiful trail. Some rolling climbs, but very doable for all fitness levels and ages. Spectacular views over the ocean, Camps Bay, and the many ravines naturally carved into the mountain
Excellent walk with great views of the mountain and sea. Cant ask for better panoramic views over Camps Bay and the 12 Apostles.
Pipe track is a lovely walk along the mountain, but it stays relatively level for those more relaxed outings. Friendly dogs are a common sight to complement the exquisite views. Always a pleasure!
Magical views, fresh air easy enough for the kids. I couldnt do it because of health issues but a good way to get out of the house.
Stunning views. Not to hard so definitely a hike for the whole family.
Easy walk with beautiful views of Lions Head, Table Mountain and Campsbay.
Enjoyed it well romantic for me and my wife
A beautiful flattish walking path with views of the sea :) Many walking paths up the mountain branch off from the pipe track.
Love this hike round the bottom of Table Mountain. Lots of beautiful scenery and views of the mountains and seascapes.
Lovely walk...enjoyable...not strenuous at all
Good flat walk that leads to many of the routes up table mountain on the west face. The two routes to avoid are blink water, which leads to echo Valley and slangolie which leads to orange kloof
Beautiful hiking track. Mostly flat however a fairly rocky terrain. Stages of shadiness. Best to start early morning to avoid the heat. Enjoy!
Easy walk till Kasteelklip
Best to go early in the morning as the mountain provides valuable shade. First section from kloof nek parking lot can be a bit tough on the legs due to a bit of a climb on rocky ground. Thereafter fairly flat and good for dogs. Great views at all times and one or two spots you can stop under a pine tree to take in the views. Avoid during summer south Easter days.
The Glenn starts here. Its sketchy, knarly and loose. Gotta love it. Bring your bike and bravery and youll have a good time
Beautiful Trail ... not too difficult and stunning views
#BEWARE OF MAMBAS.Be careful off mambas as you trail by ,Couldnt get a chance to take fotoz of the snkaes
One of my favourite hiking trails in the whole SANPARKS range, the views are always epic and its a great path for those who are just starting to hike.
Loved the trail. It was a moderate hike and just challenging enough for the seasoned hikers. The views were spectacular.
A very easy start to a few trails leading to the top of Tablemountain.. very scenic and beautiful
Still one of the best hikes in Cape town. Loved it.
Wow what a nice place first hiking there, not easy its with it i promise you!Im going back January next year again i enjoy my self 👌
Easy walk, not completely flat but fun.
Great hike. Not suitable for mtb...
Easy trail nice for unfit people
Our beautiful background.
Stunning view from the top
Nice walking path for locals but do not recommend for international tourists for their first visit to the mountain
Fabulous views over Camps Bay
Good flat trail, can be a bit challenging for some
What great walking trail nice visibly of sign good sights.
Nice route approx 6km to the end and another 6km back, easy enough for a first time walk on the mountain
Beautiful views of the 12 Apostles and Camps Bay. The path is still under some construction. Always walk or run with a 2 legged or four legged friend.
Very nice moderate hike with beautiful views
Long, but worth every step
It was nice i did not do much there but i was visiting a friend.
Easy walk , great views
Beautiful views and a pretty easy hike.
Nothing but amazing
Beautiful view....Love my city!!!!
Very narrow pathways, and extremely rocky trail thr entire way through. Not very enjoyable
Very easy hike with breathtaking views!
Great atmospheric walk both side of the farm beside the hotel in the middle of natural reserve expensive n illegal settlement
I cant feel my legs.. But was worth it💆♂️
Very good place for hiking and see Capetown from up
Super nice for a short walk over camps bay
Beautiful place with awesome view
It was great experience!
Always a joy!
Stroll in the park
Such a pleasant walk, the pathway has a very low gradient since it follows a fresh water pipe. The views are breathtaking. We (me, my wife and a 1yo baby) started at the side near downtown (cableway), and then you walk towards Camps Bay, gaining a little altitude. Then above the far end of Camps Bay we started the descent. We then walked along the streets, between the amazing mansions and stunning views als the way to be beach. Did a picnic on the beach, before taking an Uber back to downtown. I can really recommend this walk to anyone who wants an easy and safe hike, max 3 hours, doable while carrying a baby.
The Pipe Track is a beautiful route taking you along one face of Table Mountain. Views look out over Lions Head, Clifton, Camps Bay, The Twelve Apostles and more. The route is great in the morning as it is shaded and only gets afternoon sun. Having said that, sunsets are beautiful from here. There are also a number of routes to the top of Table Mountain from the Pipe Track. Safety is something to be aware of so its worth checking the SANPARKS page for info on this.
Worth it once you reach the top👌
Riding bicycle here is amazing
Very pleasant walking path that links Kloof Nek to Camps Bay. Good views of Camps Bay along the route with very little incline on the return walk. A good path for a nice quick trail run or leisurely stroll on the weekend. Plenty of foot traffic so one of the safer paths for smaller groups.
Fantastic views from the Atlantic Ocean
Great hike!
