This is my LOVE/HATE trail. One of the very many Table Mountain National Park gems. I love it because it is so versatile (if that is even the right way to describe it). I love it because there are tons of trails to choose from that will take you to so many various points. I love it because there is a refreshing waterfall on one of its trails and I LOVE it cause you can do a light leisurely stroll with your kids, toddlers or dog and u can turn back whenever you’ve replenished your outdoor tank. It has breath taking views. It is mostly shaded and just calms the soul. Then why I hate it - only because I am a novice hiker and those steps are killer but AWESOME. I hate it so much that I keep going back to hike a different trail in this beautiful forest. You can even start at Cecelia Forest and make your way over to Constantia Nek and follow the path to the 1st dam and if you much fitter than me, you can go on to the rest of the Constantia Nek Dams. There are 5 in total.
Waterfalls. silver plants. streams of water. Waterfalls silver plants. waterfalls 💧its a good place to go and explore a different area of Table Mountain witch is one of the 7 World Wonders of the world and its unique features all the different species live here mountain goats were sighted and they are beautiful as well
Cycling trails in the area are excelent. Green belt starts here but gets muddy in wet weather.
Cecelia forest has many routes, some circular, some not.The nature reserve welcomes dogs, trail runners and mountain bike users. The path that was chosen started off steep and the path back was steep as well. The hike was a total of 3 hours and 30 minutes. Totally worth it, as we got to have a picnic at the foot of the Cecelia forest waterfall. The look out points allow you to see the panoramic views of Constantia. For this hike you need shoes that are able to grip well, especially when descending.1.5 litre water is sufficient. The route feels safe, however it’s always best to hike in a group. The hike is suitable for children 10 years and above.Entrance is free and there is parking available.
Incredible place to be, very much like a fairytale. You just instantly feel revived and one with nature. Its one of the greenest forests I know, the scenery is lush and breathtaking. The waterfall was flowing beautifully, its an enlightening experience. The hikes around this area are fun and safe, for families and animals to enjoy.
Absolutely breath taking! The beauty of these mountain rain vistas nestled in the bustling metropolis of Cape Town is truly a treat! Many friendly dogs along the way, certain areas require dogs to be on lead. Be sure to pack refreshments and snacks and enjoy the trails in groups...never encountered any suspicious characters or felt threatened in any way..but always better to stay safe!
Its so tranquil and peaceful, wouldnt mind going there again ❤️
Great walk. Easy to do. Often others on the trail with dogs.
What lovely weather we had on our night hike

Fun hiking trails and not to mention waterfalls and streams, very refreshing and tranquil hike.
Beautiful
Nice walking and cycling trail
Great walk on Contour Path
Moderate Hike. Baboons on the path, keep your dogs on a leash.
One of the best hikes. You reach the top and get to a reservoir with an amazing view. Starts off gentle to warm you up and the last stretch is a steep as hell hill.
Good walks and cycle path up and around the mountain. Some straight and some steep. Not much shade from trees (only where there are still a few pine trees) so hats, skin protection, water and snacks is a must.
Lovely forest walk with the dogs!
Beautiful and easy walks any time of the year
Cecilia is a section of the Table Mountain National Park on the lower eastern slopes of Table Mountain in Cape Town, located just to the south of Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden.
Stunning, beautifull, tranquil.

It was quiet and private. The trails were easy and well marked. The scenery spectacular. You had all the time in the world to sightsee, wander and get close to nature.
Stunning.
Amazing walks, get there early to find parking.
Always great, views spectacular
Luv this 👣
Beautiful
For a great hike take a walk in Cecilia Forest. You can climb all the way to the top of Table Mountain or go for a simple stroll. Always hike in a group and have the emergency contact
Was fantastic walk
Stunning views of the Constantia Valley. Ample parking is available, with a car guard.
I enjoy walking here. Gets a bit busy but I guess that what the joggers and mtb folk say.Bit of time out in nature. Forrest, streams and beautiful views.
Oh my gosh, Cecilia Forest is stunning and connects to Kirstenbosch so you can literally hike for miles. The terrain makes for easy walking and the trees, streams, vegetation and views are breathtaking. One can easily jog on the paths as well and enjoy the tranquility and energy of being in nature. Also excellent for crazy tree huggers like me. Parking is secure and although it is strongly advised not to go alone, I have found that on any day, there are plenty of people who are more than willing to have you tag along with them on their walks/runs. We are so blessed here in Cape Town to have access to such beautiful spots which require no access fees. Add this to your itinerary and bring your own refreshments if you plan to be out for a.while.
Causing rock slides on unsuspecting citizens is a pretty rad way to spend your weekend
The out doors is amazing free work out sponsored by nature nothing better
Love it

Amazing hike ifu are taking ur dogs for a walk
The Kirstenbosch MTB trail is a must do for anyone who loves to ride.
Multiple routes and lots of foot traffic makes for hikes you can vary and therefore visit often without it becoming mundane, as well as relatively safe.
Great place
The rail is easy to follow. There is a place to park cars and water fountain
Great place to walk your dogs or walk with the family and kids, its very safe
