In all my life... This was the BEST hair salon I have ever visited. Gabby is a miracle worker. My hair went from a total brassy mess to stunning. AND all without Toner. I did not eve know this was possible. Gabby managed to turn my yellow hair into ashy beautiful locked which dont fade, because it is all natural and bleached just right to a natural light ashy tone which hardly even needs blue shampoo, and no toner was userd. My mind is blown! Go here if you want mermaid locks : )

This was my first time being back at a hairdresser since lockdown and her premises are Covid friendly and the service is top class. I cannot recommend her highly enough. Gabby really is the best at what she does. I came to her with a mess from a previous colourist and she managed to work her magic... I can’t imagine going to anyone else. Yes, the price that comes with that is high, but you get QUALITY and since I started going to Gabs I’ve been getting so many compliments. What I like most about going to her is how she does your hair that the regrowth is barely visible, even for months afterwards it still looks good as long as you follow up with a good purple shampoo and masks every now and again. She knows I only come every couple of months, but every time it’s so worth it, plus random extra little treat - the chair vibe at the basin is super comfortable, so doesn’t break your neck 😜 Go Gabs!

Gabby charges a mandatory R390 for Olaplex treatment if you get colour, yet this is not the brand she uses. She uses Fanola which is a much cheaper brand than Olaplex. This is blatant false advertising. When I confronted her about this, she still charged me the same price for the treatment and disregarded how wrong it is. She then emailed me a couple days later to cancel a Brazilian blowout that I had with her with absolutely no reason or option to reschedule. I emailed her twice to ask why she cancelled and she still has not responded. I will never return to her nor recommend her. Whilst I like my colour, it is no better than other hairdressers I have gone to, and she charges 3x the price.

Gabby is so accommodating she came in at 6am to accommodate me before work. She has been doing my hair for years and I would never go anywhere else! Gabby is definitely the best blonde specialist out there , her work is phenomenal!!

She shure does one of the best blondes in Cape Town, however, appointments are terrible. After a long wait (I tried mid Jan to get an appointment again initially) we found a date that worked (11th Feb 9:15) I am a single mom and can only do 8-12. So on Sunday the 10th of February I informed her about load shedding being in place again and we agreeably changed my appointment from 9:30 to 11. I changed my sitter and everything was fine. The next day I wake up to a text from her saying load shedding was suspended and I had to keep my 9:30 or else she couldn’t make my hair. I paid my sitter an expensive Uber to be able to make it on time and surprise, loadshedding happened as announced. The salon is in a mall, so no daylight, no chance to work. When I told her that it wasn’t my fault, and that we rescheduled yesterday as she suggested she tells me that it’s hard to accommodate my schedule and that I should find another hair stylist. Apparently her other clients wanted their old appointments back. Not only is it super unfair, it also makes no sense and is quite arrogant. Make out of the review what you want. I’ll now drive from the Atlantic Seaboard again to Summerset. It’s far but their work is terrific and i don’t have to deal with an attitude like that. 👎🏼
