The best souvlaki I’ve tasted in Cape Town. It’s such an unassuming little place, so glad I decided to give it a try! Thoroughly enjoyed the high quality, fresh and flavourful food. The crispy baked potatoes were divine! Paired with the succulent, herbaceous chicken souvlaki and spicy Turkish salsa, it made for a hearty lunch. To top that off, the manager and waiter were exceptional - friendly, attentive, complementary and so thoughtful. Will be back again and again. To make sure this restaurant keeps its doors open!

Really fresh ingredients, well seasoned meats and large portions. Great tasting Greek food for those cravings. Service is not the fastest but does the trick. Outdoor seating is very safely spread out.

The interior is beautiful and the service was great. The food was good, but not exceptional. We ordered a special where you can choose a side, a main and a dessert. So the food was obviously way too much to finish, but we were not allowed to take our leftovers home. That didnt really make sense. I would have loved to eat the rest the next day.

Not the best experience this time around. Was here with the family about a year ago, food was great and big portions. Now with lockdown i thought lets support them again and get takeaways to support the restaurant. I ordered the king prawn and my girlfriend ordered the same with calamari. When we got the food there was only one king prawn and the rest queen prawns. Calamari was also not up to standard. Our side dish was salad, but this was also cheap and bland. Sadly wont be coming back for now 😞

After inviting 7 friends for our farewell, we were disappointed to be informed that when, wait for it, everyone else had already their food infront of them, that they cant serve the Hamburgers, no patties in stock. We were very very unhappy. We had to order something else...Friends finished their food and us had to wait. My 3rd time but I doubt if anyone will go again. However, our Waiter were awesome and still got a good tip. Food is still a great quality and a very nice vibe.

Got treated for my birthday with lovely breakfast. Coffee is amazing and breakfast was great. Restaurant was extremely clean and neat. Will definitely return for more great food.

My wife and I had a 3 course meal at Nikos yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it. The feta and honey phyllo starter was outstanding. The lamb shank mains were superb and rounded off with the delightful mini donuts drizzled with chocolate. A rare experience to have all 3 courses be so fantastic. Great service from our very friendly waitress too. All in all a well deserved 5 star experience. Keep it up guys !

Outstanding Greek and Mid East cuisine. Kofta balls to die for, the mousakka up with the best weve had anywhere in the world. This is the 5th Nikos now and really glad to have them in Glengarry. Keep up the good work guys

Went to Nikos for the first time with my daughter. After living in Greece for 10 years, we were looking forward to similar gyros to what we were used to, but was slightly disappointed. Although it was tasty, it was just not the same - hence the 4 stars. (A different tzatziki recipe was used and wraps instead of pitas.) The restaurant however is beautiful, clean and staff were very friendly and efficient.

Firstly, lovely place. Food was great and our young waitress was witty, 100% on the ball. Just phenomenal. In a time like now where great service is more key than ever, Nikos surpassed all our expectations. We will be seeing them a lot more going forward.

We finally ordered this past Friday night. Service was impeccable, the food seriously delish and my only regret is not ordering sooner :). We had a Paphos each with lamb kofta, and a calamari main with roast potatoes to share. Hubby and I cannot wait for sit down to reopen. We will be coming to Nikos first!!!

Excellent food, not the best service unfortunately. Waiters tend to forget you and had to wave frantically in order to get their attention. Had to ask for my salad which was made and stood on the counter but not brought to me.

Initially I didnt like the Afrikaans music in a Greek restaurant however the food was sublime. I can confidently recommend this eatery. The waiter Ulrich did an outstanding job 👍🏽😊

Excellent food but a cheek to charge R 60.00 corkage when no beers on tap are available at all, and only a few bottled beers. (Although all are listed on the menu) Discussed with Manageress, who apologized, but still charged R 60.00 corkage per bottle of wine ?? I find that exorbitant corkage unacceptable, given the very limited beer available.

Really nice greek food, some of the dishes were similar to greek ones 🤩( xtipiti, souvlaki), some others not . Restaurant was extremely clean and all covid protocols on side.The service was amazing, except the long waiting period of having the deserts. Our waitress was smiley and nice. We will return soon for sure to try other dishes of the menu.

Nikos makes fantastic and authentic food however they are consistently maling errors when we place orders through Mr Delivery. We order from them once a week so are thoroughly familiar with the menu. Tonight we received a main instead of a starter which I cant eat as I am gluten intolerant, as well as half of the dip order. I phoned Nikos directly to query the order and they placed the blame squarely on Mr Delivery, which is impossible, as its digital. Nikos made no apology and said the only resolution is if we phone Mr Delivery. Which we have done. Its such a shame that such a great restaurant is being let down by such terrible management. The waiter Mo or Mohammed who we dealt with, offers great customer service, but is obviously being instructed by powerd above. And when challenged could not offer any form of apology for their mistake. I will still support this restaurant as their food is terrific but I strongly suggest they resolve their ordering issues.

Friendly, laid back service with a WIDE variety of dishes to choose from. I will definitely go back to sample more of their offerings. Clean & neat spot with a tapas style menu - great for a casual get-together with friends and/or family

Greek food served with South African friendly service

Really appreciated their Covid protocols. First place I’ve been to that has a register (for contact tracing) and scanned my son and I on arrival. Also all seating gets wiped down after ea Co customer.We do not eat out a lot these days as I have a small baby... but Nikos was fairly empty during lunchtime and we sat outside under umbrellas with only one other person further away.Was a real treat for my eldest son and I. Food was good, service was fast and our waiter Luca was lovely. Thank you and will be seeing you again!

Was disappointed with waiting period for the food to come out. Waited plus-minus 40 min for only a burger and a filled flat bread to come out. Food was also cold. Waiter did not come to us once to provide a reason why the food took long. Restaurant was not busy at all, could not see what was causing the delay.

I was not sure what to expect when I walked in because it was my first Greek restaurant experience. The waiters were all super friendly and just generally made the atmosphere very welcoming. Our waiter was very helpful in helping me decide what to order as a first timer. He took time to explain the dishes in detail(which made me want to order everything🤣🤣)and when the food finally came it was heaven on my plate!!! The portions were super generous and the drinks menu had lots to choose from. I cannot wait to go back!!!

Last Night we experienced Nikos at its best, The true authentic Greek way. Great food, awesome vibe, live Greek music and do not forget the excitement when the plates stated coming down on the floor.Given possible, i think this should become a weekly institution, allowing the inner Greek in all of us to come out, now spearheaded by Mr Crazy Greek himself. Great so see you back on the circuit Antonios.Trust this spot will now become the new let your hair down and be spoiled place to go to. Well done Guys. Keep it up.

Food prices do not justify portion sizes and is most likely more of a booze bar now than a restaurant. Ordered a Falafel Yiro and could not find the falafels, could be that the size went down from a golf ball size to split pea size. Server was very helpful and deserved her tip.

Enjoyed our dinner. Chicken yiros was tender, juicy and flavoursome. Fab crispy, fluffy chips. My grilled calamari was fantastic and tender. Crispy roast potatoes were nice but not crispy - that was the only let down. Enjoyed the vibe, interior was airy and open. Good quick service! We will be back!

We were really looking forward to trying this restuarant as both my wife and I have fond memories of our recent travels to Athens. Unfortunately we were really disappointed. The R70 hummus and flat bread was basically 2 table spoons if bitter hummus on top a mountain of raw onions. Our giros missed half their toppings. While the one giros meat tasted amazingly well grilled, the other ones meat tasted as if it was cooked over a flameless burner. The taste of gas was strong. Then lastly our desert. The baklava tasted like it was baked the previous week and was accompanied by what probably once was a vanilla ice cream. What a massive disappointment. I honestly hope this was a bad night for them. Or maybe the staff need retraining. Anyway, there are better Greek places in town.
