Its quick for them to deduct money from your salary but when you need the money back so that you can buy food and groceries in your home they take forever to give back your money...actually still waiting waste of time and moneyPhoning the number doesnt even workWish I could rate no stars

I tried reaching someone in this department to enquire about financial support for tour guides affected by Covid. All replies are automated both in Pretoria and Cape Town. All they do is refer you to other numbers where there are more automated responses referring you to their website. How can this department render an effective service to its citizens if this is how it functions. Its symptomatic of a bureaucratic and inefficient government. How sad!

I have had the most frustrating weeks trying to assist staff that have been retrenched with their online claims. There is NO support at UIF at all. No returned calls or emails. All UIF numbers ask you to call the COVID hotline and their consultants say they don’t deal with UIF queries!!! How on earth can I get through to the Labour Department?? I’m beyond frustrated.

The place needs a revamp, staff attitudes are condescending, security unprofessional and application turn around times is way to slow.Needs more enthusiastic people to work for the labour department cape town.

Been going back and forth with my claim, with no assistance at all from the department due to an error done by one of their employees. Now i have to go back to Cape town to have this sorted, that is really unfair on my side as u did and submitted everything on my side on time but now the delay is on your side. Imagine travelling from East London to Cape Town for the same thing i was moving back and forth for in Cape town and was informed that it was rectified only to find out that its not.

Pathetic service. Absolutely disgusting. The people that work there dont seem to know how to do their jobs, so I ask myself how the hell did they get the job. They have absolutely no client etiquette & when they speak their language they scream & talk. I hate that these ppl have jobs they cannot even do, yet there are much qualified unemployed ppl out there that dont have a lot of the jobs out there cause they are not black enoughIm sick to death with our government

I applied for my UIF on the 7th February , my daughter was born on the 2nd Feb. initially when i applied, i was advised that my paper work was 100% correct. After 6 weeks of following up via email and calls, i was advised that a new ui-19 was required. This was then send end of March, i have following up since then and no positive feedback. im trying to lodge a complain and cant find a complaints department. This is ridiculous, on a monthly basis we pay UIF but now when it has to paid it becomes a mission.
