Ive had a very nice experience compared to other branches staff is friendly and security always helpful coming to assist and guide people outside. At first I had problems from my side paper work was nog right but eventually when I obtained and submitted correct forms my claim was paid out. The lines goes very quick.Abd wont doubt making use of this branch in future.

Are the ques still extremely long? I have been numerous times and Everytime I go its something new that needs to be fixed. Rather than looking at all my documents and showing me everything that needs to be adjusted by my employer. If anyone can assist what is the best time to go and get service?

This was a nightmare experience trying to get your Uif application papers processed at this satellite branch. I have tried numerous times to get in only to be turned away at the gate because of time constraints. I eventually got there at 3.30am in the morning and I was number 60 at that unearthly hour. The sense of humor amongst the crowd in the line is the only thing that kept me sane.

Words can not explain how good of service this branch gave me and my family especially during this time of Covid. Even from far as you are in the line you can see how helpful and and informed they are. They literally help each person at a time and as long as it can be they make it work. They guide you and give you guides in where to go and what is left to be done, way before you go inside just to be told they need specific documents like other places. They really do go an extra mile. And even if you have to go back again because of missing documentation its worth it. Because you guaranteed to be able to submit. And I was lucky all went fast. Just thought Id share this and not hide the other side of how well this branch works. From security to the ladies helping outside.

I just called 6 times in a row and reception just picked up the phone and put it down again to cancel my call. Government is supposed to have bad service I guess but this was just plain rude. Disgusting behaviour for a receptionist. Please employ someone who is competent.

Terrible service. Would not recommended anyone coming here. Wasted 2 whole days waiting to be helped. Staff does not communicate whats happening aswell. Online service is of no use too.

Hi I was guided to claim reduced worktime benefits from one of the call centre assistants and i collected all documents and brought it in.....only to b said its not open for that benefits yet apparently still waiting for approval from Pretoria. I was told my papers will jst go in a box ....I called uif call centre again and they have no idea why I was shown away and that my application should have been accepted.

Pros :Great service , fast, informative and efficient. the supervisor is really hands- on with the flow of applications . Friendly serviceCons:•Not enough seating space•having to go back a second day to complete bank form.Suggestions : if a notice and a box with bank form can be put . So don’t have to wait in line only for a bank pageBut overall great service

I rate this institution a zero!! Stood in a q this morning for over an hour. When I eventually managed to get to the front of the q I was told by an extremely rude government official that I am in the wrong q. I explained to him that this type of scenario can be avoided if there is an employee directing the people in the long q and indicating where they need to be etc. He dismissed me immediately, told me to join the other long q or come back tomorrow as they are understaffed. Being an ex government employee of 11 years I was shattered by his conduct.

Very rude and unhelpful. Noone knows what que they must stand in and when asking you get shut down with stand in the que. No person walking around to assist with general question so you dont have to stand so long. Bellville service was better and more staff on duty. Also pregnant and elderly were assisted faater.

I waited in line close to 4 hours to be assisted while staff took an hour lunch each during an extremely busy time, all I had to do was hand in my sons BC and sign for payment. Well when I was finally assisted I was told oh your application was worked on in December but never approved, nothing has been approved since December as everyone was booked off on leave?? Ive been 2 months without a salary!! How does gov expect you to look after yourself and new baby when they take their time to pay you for money you entitled to??

Eventually when you enter they ask what you there for and without giving you a chance to speak they speak over you that guy was so rude and they refused to give his name to me.. Was at the Goodwood offices at 4:30 in the morning to be assisted first just to be told the offices is closed they are only doing repeat payments, no questions can be asked because they are not answering. We must go to Bellville.Yet another let down from our government!!!

The 1 star rate should be zero.Not good to wait long and then to be informed by someone shouting from the labor office door that they are closed and that we must all go home!!! As photo on website shows they are suppose to be open. They should atleast update on website to inform all that they will not be opening at 07:30.

Came here just 1415 today, armed with my book to read whilst anticipating an average 45 minute wait, typical of governmental depts. To my actual delight and almost disbelief, there were only 3 people and I was assisted immediately. The young lady that helped me was courteous, friendly and knowledgeable, which made the experience even more pleasurable. It felt like I was at a private service provider that cared about me as a client. Maybe I was lucky in that I first registered on UFiling and then brought in my additional documents for verification, but still, well done Goodwood Dept of Labour satellite office. I will be back and please keep up not only the good work, but also the great attitude and work ethic.
