Course in excellent condition as well as putt putt course and driving range. Newly built playground for children very popular and often used for children birthday parties. Good bar facilities, pizzas the best in area. Overall a good experience.

Had a very enjoyable day here. Greens were slower than expected due to rain earlier on but the general condition of this course is great and its fun to play.

Enjoyed the drive from CT and the weather was great. No wind for a change. Course always in good shape!

Went with wife and kids for coffee. Lovely venue but the coffee machine wasnt working so a bit of a let down. Otherwise top notch service.

It was my first time at a driving range. At 14.35 just after we bought 2 buckets of balls we were told by a guy working there we need to finish up even though the operating hours was suppose to be unto 18h00. We were not happy at all. He said he wants to clean up and go home.

One of the nicer courses played in recent times. Good to see green grass on display considering the severely dry cape courses due to water shortages. Will play there again when possible no doubt.

Situated in the Strand near Gordons Bay and just off the N2 it is a convenient and worthy course to visit when out in this vicinity.The Golf Course Holes, 18 of it, is unforgiving and challenging, accuracy and course knowledge is a big plus when playing this course.The course at the time of my visit in Jan 2018, was well maintained, despite level 6 water restrictions implimented in the Cape, with fast rolling greens and dry hardy fairways with sections of deep green in places. The course flows nicely and walking it with a moderate fitness level is easy.We started out with an overcast sky and ended with an open sunny sky on the 18th, never forget to apply Sunscreen, you will suffer for it afterwards.The showers were turned off due to the water restrictions, but the halfway house and bar were in full swing, a dynamic staff compliment in the kitchen made us feel at home and we were well taken care of by the roving staff when it came to ordering drinks from the bar.Our club used an upstairs venue for our prize giving which was neat, clean and adequate for our approx. 40 strong crowd, with a commanding view of the 18th, and at no xtra cost it was awesome.If you are a Golfer and never played Strand Golf Course, you owe it to yourself to experience this challenging and well maintained course and the Green Fees are not bad too.

Well maintained. Number boards of the putt putt course are not well laid out. Very little shade.

What a beautiful course! Plays short from the white tees, but superb greens and fairways. The staff members at the pro shop and halfway house were helpful and friendly.

Bought two buckets of ball to practice drive shots. Did not get to hit off more than three balls when we were told to finish up ashe the grounds man wants to put on sprincklers and wants to go home . That was just after 14h00 . THEN WHY SELL US THE 2 X BASKETS OF BALL

We found this a friendly golf club. Professional was helpful. The only reason I have given 4 stars rather than 5 is the condition of the fairways which is not the fault of the club, but the drought conditions that exist. Preferred lies in operation which helps. Tee boxes and greens excellent.

Although the Strand Golf Course is in very good condition there are still a few areas and greens that need attention. The restaurant, driving range and proshop staff were very helpful and friendly. I recommend the Stand Golf Club to anyone that is looking for a great day playing golf.

As one enter the maintenance entrance, security very friendly and cooperation is good. Proshop staff very helpful, the golf course very much playable but 30%of the greens is not in good niche but I had a reasonably good day

I recently visited Strand Golf club for a few drinks with friends who play golf there on a regular basis. I enjoy the fact that you need not be a member to visit, eat and enjoy drinks there. The place was neat and clean. It is wheel chair friendly. The people were all friendly and the service was great. My four star rating is merely due to the fact that I only had drinks. I have not tasted the food on offer but hope to give them the full 👍👌 at my next visit. 😎

Comparing this establishment to others in its class, one has to award credit for this clubs attention to members and guest and the importance of it. Furthermore, if youre considering getting a golf club membership, I suggest you give this one some consideration. Helpful staff and a management team thats is actively involved in the day to day of seeing to the needs of all their members. If you like golf, I highly recommended Strand Golf Club.

What a stunning venue. I was here for a short conference and the view at the clubhouse blue me away! I have played golf here many years ago and I enjoyed the course. I was lucky it was not a windy day that day 😊

Awesome golf course, awesome people

Course is in top notch condition and quite challenging when the wind blows and it can blow here.The halfway house is more than adequate and the club has decent facilities.Not too expensive for non affiliated guests, but unfortunately no longer available on the Entertainer app, which is a pity.

The course is in a very good condition. The view is great and the Clubhouse staff always make you feel at home. One of the best courses I have played at in a long time. Close to basically all other facilities. The beach , The Mall and the day care hospital. In all , a great location.
