Parow Golf Club was nice. I enjoyed playing a round there. We went in August so the winter rains helped. The fairways we lush and seemed well maintained. We were here in summer and the course was in a bad shape. Im glad its looking good now.

A good course for those of us beginners with a relatively high handicap. I will keep coming back. But a little friendlier staff will be appreciated.

Played Parow today for the first time in a while and the course is in really great condition. Staff were super friendly and the Pro shop assistant in particular was courteous, helpful and efficient. Theyre clearly putting effort in and in my opinion Parow is one of the best value courses in the Cape. Highly recommended.

I played a round at Parow Golf Club for the first time this week, and I was really impressed. Sure, the clubhouse may not have the glitz and glamour of more highbrow clubs like those in Durbanville and Bellville, but dont underestimate this facility. Rounds are much better priced, staff are friendly, facilities are professional all round, cart hire is available, a golf shop available on premises, everything you need really. The course features wide fairways, making it accessible for amateur to intermediate level players. However, there are some tricky holes next to water, and interesting wind conditions, that will challenge more advanced players. The fairways are really good, with a few patches of sand here and there, but the greens in particular are of a high standard. I would recommend Parow to all my friends and will be back.

Poorly managed course. Course itself isnt bad. Got stuck behind slow league players. No Marshalls to be found. Ended up giving up after 9 holes as there was zero chance of finishing 18 holes when teeing off after 4pm on a Winters day. We were not the only 4 ball that called it a day. All they keen on doing is overbooking and if you are non-league or a non- member they couldnt be bothered about your experience.

Went to take my Grandson for an on Course lesson an to apply for membership. The 1st golf club i have found that is putting every effort to encourage young people membership for scholars under 18 there is only a fee for south African golf association. Yes green fees are payable when you play but that is at all clubs. Well done Parow

It was great, the members are friendly .

Parow golf club is great club for a beginner or intermediate golfer. The course is well maintained and the greens are fast and consistent. The fairways are wide and the rough not overly punishing. When we went the only facility open was a small shop at which to pay for the round and buy balls etc.

Greens are quick, but it was a good round.

Played this course recently and it was alright. The clubhouse is very old but I enjoyed the simple yet effective warm up area. The course was dry but not too bad, the greens were rolling true with a little bit of work that would be done on the rough.Halfway house experience is what brought this club down. We had to walk upstairs to somehow find the kitchen which had no signage or anyone at front of the house, when we did find the lady she was friendly(ish) but she had no interest in looking for what we asked for, the menu was tiny with not even the sandwiches being able to be toasted, on top of that they dont accept card.A average experience.

Wow they might as well close this course doen everytime we go back it seems worse than before I know they have t had water and one can see that its terrible! Half-way still have the same food options since 2004 but so is the prices.

First time there.. Not bad at all.. Liked the course.. Just need to play better for an old toppie hahaha

A month ago had our youngest daughter wedding ceremony and reception there... Had a wonderful experience.. Friendly and helpful staff... Wow.. The food.. Buffet was scrumptious... Fantastic menu.. Everything was great... Would suggest this to anyone who needs to host a function.. There was only.. One small disappointment..they couldnt go out to take pictures on the fields.. To capture the beautiful background of the venue.. But thumbs up for all the rest..

The course is in terrible condition, why charge a water levy when it is bone dry and hardly any grass on the fairways.Your front of house staff cannot add, this is the 3rd time I have been there and they cannot get the green fees plus cart divided by 2 together. They are unprofessional and slump behind the counter.I was going to join as a member but have decided to go elsewhere.

What a place... as a member I probably shouldnt comment, but I will anyway😄. Excellent food at an absolute bargain cost-point, paired with Daves new wine list, this should really be a venue of choice for golf days, weddings and all other type of functions... no wonder the place is fully booked for lunch and supper this time of the year... well done Dave and the team.

Parow Golf: what a pleasant surprise. The last time I played there - many, many years ago - the place was not up to scratch. Now however, its neat & tidy. The greens are good along with the fairways. Ill definitely make a point of returning. Well done the management/committee

Played Parow golf club a couple weeks back and really enjoyed the course. Staff are friendly and the course is in good shape, but tend to agree with one of the other reviews regarding the copious amount of birds and the mess that they create. However, that will not stop me from coming back and I will in a few weeks time. Keep up the good work.

It s a nice place.

I have not been on many Golf Courses in my brief span on this Earth, however this hidden gem is wonderful. Quietly hidden away in the middle of a very busy area and adjacent to a national highway, this Golf Course offers the players a quick escape from the day to day rat race with the added benefit of not driving far to get there. I was part of a Golf day event in which the entire course was booked for us, this may have added to my lovely experience. The grass is wonderfully green after the first seasonal rains and the grass and surrounding areas are well kept. My only critique would be towards the bird life, the mallards and geese are overpopulated and they make for messy greens and their white feathers that have fallen out make it difficult to find a golf ball. As an advocate for wildlife I wish not that they be removed but simply managed.

Had alot of fun during the 1st nine. But if i PAY to play golf i would expect to have right of way between me and the guy cutting grass. I wanted to play but he carried on cutting while looking at me. Would definitely not go back.

The golf club hosts a wonderful venue for any celebratory occasion. Lovely hall that comes with an inhouse catering team. Friendly staff to complement a lovely venue.

Friends held their wedding reception here. What an awesome venue with a lovely view. The onsite catering was fantastic as well. A venue large enough for all the relatives and small enough to maintain intimacy.

My daughter chose this venue for her recent wedding reception. It was indeed a memorable occasion, greatly enhanced by this venue. Certainly very recommendable!

Worst condition in cape town

This course is only for the professional/elite golfer...? (apparently)I got chased off the course by management for sharing a bag and 2 clubs with a friend.I am an amateur golfer and only own speciality clubs (pitching wedge, putter, 60 degree and 9 iron). Because I borrowed my friends 3 Wood and 7 iron, I was not allowed to continue playing the course, and got sweared at and removed by rude management.To top off this horrible experience, I was refused a refund after only playing 1 hole.Golfing rules stipulate players can share clubs, as long as the total clubs per bag does not exceed 14 clubs, or slows down play.Any golfer that is still looking to get the hang of this incredible game, I would recommend Bellville or Kuilsriver golf course, as they assist you with great service and helpful tips.

Not only for golfers. You can come and enjoy the view with a partner and drink a beer while watching the golfers. Big screens on site to watch other sports. Catering for functions also.

Awesome course...always check weather before you play there... and dont be deceived by cloud cover...put on sun block.

Its ok. Greens have been better but they appear to be getting better but course is very sandy. Some more rain and itll probably get 3 stars
