Centrally located store for all your vehicle glass requirements. The owner was very helpful and friendly and great to deal with initially, but I cant say the same about his staff members when returning later. Hence the reason for 3 and not 4 stars.

They took 2 weeks to get my window ordered, because they ordered the wrong one first. Then took 2 and a half hours to do a 1 hour job (they said 1 hour) and then took 1 hour and 15 minutes before even starting to work on the car. They even left broken glass in the door and under my seat...safe to say, they were really unprofessional and provided poor service. Theres no point making an appointment when theres no structure to their queues. Youll just end up waiting forever.

My 3rd vehicle Ive taken to Glasfit to get smash & grab tint installed. Excellent service and pristine workmanship. Finished in under 1 hour and 15min. McDonalds across the road and Jack Muller Park down the road to easily kill time while waiting for the install to complete.

I only went there to do an inspection of my windscreen for my new insurance company. Service was quick, professional and I was out of there in a few minutes. There were enough staff to assist with all clients and I was greeted and assisted in minutes. Very happy with this level of service.

Lovely service. I just walked in and was helped immediately. I had to get a check done for insurance purposes. The gentleman at reception was very helpful and the lady who completed the check itself was very professional and fast. Everything went so smoothly and I was in and out in under ten minutes. The level of service is exceptional. They get really busy so you need to book a day in advance. They definitely know what they are doing. The workshop lacks some air cooling because it does get a little hot in there while you wait for your glass to be fitted. It takes a age tho for them to fit it, but they do it so well. This however I feel can improve as they have many staff working there. But a great place if you are expecting a great job to be done.

Service was okay, but there setup of helping clients is not good for me, they work on a first come first serve basis. They actually didnt vacuum my car, got glass chips on my back seat and the tailgate still have some glass in it, every time I open the tailgate/bootlid I hear the pieces of glass falling around.

A am really not happy with Glasfit Bellvile . They was supposed to fix my car side window. They called me and said they cannot fix the side window because the mechanism was broken because of the impact of small stone that brush cutter thrown up brake the mechanism with the brake of the window. I do not believe this. It will only brake if forced. Please be aware.

Update 3: 1 to 3 starsThe Manager was on site the day that the glass was actually there and we had a long discussion. He sorted out all the issues for me and will take steps against his incompetent staff.Original Post:I was sent by Santam to have my Audi A4s window replaced at Glasfit Durban Road. I was told the glass would be ready in 3 working days. After 3 working days I didnt receive any feedback from anyone at Glasfit. After 5 working days (a week later), I decided to give them a call. When I asked about my glass they were very relaxed about it and told, oh, I will start phoning around asking where the glass is. This is already 2 days passed my promised installation date.Absolutely pathetic. I phoned Santam to sort out the matter because I cannot deal with such incompetency.Update 2:They phoned me saying my glass is ready - I even received an SMS with the appointment date. When I arrived and they prepped my car (removing the plastic cover over the broken window) They informed me that the glass is not there. They made me speak to Audi themselves to find this out. The guy behind the counter couldnt even tell it to me straight, nor let me know the glass is not there since he phoned me the day before to come for the install!

Took my vehicle in for an inspection for new vehicle insurance a month ago. Received an SMS today from insurer that I still have to take my vehicle in to inspect the vehicle.The lady at Glassfit never sent the insurer the inspection she did on my vehicle. Luckily I kept a copy to proof it was done.Had I not kept it, things could have been bad if I got into an accident.

On Saturday the 14 April 2018, I went to this Glasfit to do a vehicle inspection for insurance purposes. The gentleman at reception was very friendly and helpful, unfortunately I cannot say the same for the Xhosa lady who did the vehicle inspection. She used an ipad to put in all the details. One of the things she had to check was the odometer reading. I read to her out loud very slowly and very clearly the odm reading. I read it out twice just to make sure she has it.However later that same day I received an email from my insurance company (AON) with all the details of the insurance check on it. I saw then that the lady made a huge mistake. She had put an extra digit at the end of my odm reading. Instead of saying my car has 54 656 km on it, she had put it as 546 564 km! Which is totally wrong, it is almost 500 000 more km on it than it should be.My car is insured for the trade in value of it. Now a car with 546 564km is worth a lot less than a car with 54 656km on it. So in other words if my car gets stolen or get written off in an accident, I am going to receive a lot less from my insurance than what the trade in value actually is. This makes me very angry. I did write an email to AON explaining to them the situation, however as of yet they havent responded.I also went back on Monday the 16 April 2018 to this Glasfit, to redo the car inspection, but there was another lady there (not the same one as on Saturday), and she could not find my car details on the tablet. So she couldnt redo the inspection with the tabled. She did redo it on paper, and she said they will send in the paper to Aon later on, but I am not sure if that is ever going to happen.Apart from the inconvenience of having to redo the inspection, and emailing my insurance company etc, this was also a waste of my precious time. I have a lot of work to do, going back on Monday and sitting through traffic to get to Glasfit and back, was time that I could have spent on work.I seriously recommend that if you go for a car inspection for insurance purposes that you stay away from this Glasfit branch in Bellville, they give horrible service and are very unprofessional. Like I mentioned earlier, I read my odm reading out loud to the xhosa-lady twice, and she still got it wrong. So maybe she has a hearing problem or maybe she was just being spiteful. When you go for a car inspection for insurance purposes, stay away from this place, there are many other places where you can get your car insurance done who will do it correctly the first time. Needless to say, I will never support this Glasfit in Durban road again.
