Hideously overstocked and rife with disease as a result. I have spent thousands on plants at stodels over the years (see @allmygreenfriends on IG)… What used to be a really pleasant experience with great plant styling and more variety is now a claustrophobic nightmare of 100s of each type of plant crammed into their indoor space! Some of the pots aren’t even standing on the shelves upright they are so tightly packed and there are forgotten corners with plants all smothering each other. You can barely navigate a trolley through their isles anymore - it’s basically a factory farm for plants now. They have gone from quality to quantity and it’s very sad.

My first shop at Stodels ever... Wow... What an amazing experience. Wide range of indoor and outdoor plants. All nicely laid out and marked according to environmental requirements. Staff are friendly and helpful... Will definitely go back for more

The nursery and staff are fantastic BUT the kiddies play area is OUT-of-this-WORLD!!! Amazing!!! Wow! We will definitely be back.

April 27 . The garden centre was nearly empty at 3 in the afternoon. Very few customers in the cafe . Great place to sit and chat . English scone with either cheese or cream with strawberry jam for R45. Excellent value.A very pleasant garden centre. No big crowds on Sunday morning . Easy to walk around .

To one of the managers, Calvin, thank you for a totally unexpected and outstanding response to a complaint I had. I expected to be fobbed off yet again with, well look into it and then nothing ever happens, as usual.Well, I certainly felt heard this time!This man is an asset to Stodels!Also Wanda at the help desk and Wensley, who assisted with advice and by pushing the heavily-laden trolley: great service guys!

It is always a wonderful experience. Found what i wanted and there staff always at hand when you are looking for something. Keep up the good work.

....Very nice-lii located garden centre after the store which was on my doorsteps closed its doors in Bothasig. They just about have everything you would want for your gardening, There is loads of parking. Prices are good and the staff are helpful and pleasant! They have the best Gas-toxin to eradicate MOLES from digging-up your garden. And it works IMMEDIATE-LII EVERY-TIME! And your garden will be Mole-Free for many years to come!..................

One of my favourite Stodels. Great outdoor area, helpful staff and after all that plant shopping theres a nice cafe to chow at or have a tea.

Very nice place to visit the topnotch condition is great. The different plants and displays are excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. The manager VERNON is excellent and attentive to all customers and staff makes it a wonderful experience.

Great place to get all your gardening goods. Plants are reasonably priced but pots and pot covers are expensive.They have a nice coffee shop on the premises offering cakes and drinks. Stodels is dog friendly so long as they are on a leash. Staff are helpful and friendly and have a wealth of knowledge and advice on plants and their care.

Everything you need. Friendly helpful staff. Swing and fish pond thrilled the kids.They just need to make sure prices are displayed on everything e.g. big compost bags no prices shown. If not for that, they would have 5 stars.

Great variety of plants, a little on the pricey side, but the friendly staff and awesome checks make up for it. There is also a great little DIY shop, pet shop and coffee shop (we didnt pop in) o no news there. This strip mall has various other services on offer. Do stop by.

Have been here quite a few times and the assistants are very helpful. Although the place is not as big as some of the garden centers around, they always seem to have what we need at a reasonable price. Really a good center to do your garden purchases as well as stopping over at Good Thyme Café in the complex.

I was misinformed about the availability of a plant on the phone. When I got to the store I was assisted by a store manager Mr. Evans who went above and beyond to sort out the problem and ensure everything worked out.He was very friendly and helpful :)

It was my first time at this branch. Usually i frequent Kenilworth and Diep River stores. To my disappointment i found most of the sale items pricier than the other branches.

Amazing service from Oswayne!

Fed up. Everything more & more expensive & then lucky if it grows. In the last year lost a pincushion (not the first), a few gazanias, a Granadilla. Bought 3 Granadillas on special at S Ayres & all doing well. Cant afford to lose so much. Asked your cashier the name of the plant u offered a month or 2 ago. She kept telling me theres a different special every month . Told her I know but just want to know the name. Got her same reply. Oh dear, just told her to forget it.

Probably the best branch with the widest selection of goods. Well worth the trek if you dont stay in the area.

Not impressed. Phoned in to ask if they stock Microgreens in bulk. Was informed that they do indeed. Arrived to ask where they are and staff said we no longer keep them in stock. Phone from the store informed that they do...only to show me one little packet of seeds 🤷‍♂️

I went there for the first time today to purchase some plants and what caught my eye was the cleanliness and neatness of the place. The staff were friendly and it was quite apparent that they know what theyre talking about. Will be returning there quite soon!

Parts of car stolen while shopping in the stodels.No security on site.Very unsafe

Did not found everything we needed they did not have, we asked! Also we bought over R1000 of things yesterday and my husband forgot our card, they could not add it on the card today 🙃 😑 other places do!

Im not a fan of gardening and know very little about it . The people here were very helpful in explaining everything in laymans terms and giving me some sound advise especially around breaking the bank on unnecessary purchases .Merely for the fact that they got me out of there with everything I needed in the shortest possible time was a win for me . I do however wish that some of the side stores were open but I think a lot of these have closed down since lockdown started

Fantastic!Just went to brows around and asked one of the friendly attendants to point me to the mint.He took me there and personally explained that there are lots of species available.Even a chocolate minthe surgested I smell it.I didnt believe him at once. How can a mint smell like chocolate mint.Well, I was so surprised when it really does!He carried on spending time with me and I felt really special that I just met the guy, and he chats with me and explaining all the cultivars that I did not even knew existed.He also explained to me that if we get a Stodels card we will get a discount of approximately 10% on our purchase...I was so astound that I forgot to look at his name badge.However, thank you to you, the white chap with the dirty hands that left everything you were busy with to assist me with such passion and grace.Hope you are recognized for your passion that you have for what you do.Very seldom that you will find someone with this fashion and Customer care.Thank you Chap, for making me feel Special😘
