My friends and I had an amazing time at Blue Rock and would go back any time!Great food, the watersports are also a 10/10 and the smiles from all the helpers on-site was truly contagious.I was also very impressed with the safety crew. Blue Rock 2021 has indeed upped their game, great on them!

Great experience. However i do feel that this establishment could do more for offering more activities and a better solution for providing shade. The current price is very expensive and the shade obviously moves as the sun does. Keep that in mind.

Absolutely loved this place!!! My wife organized my birthday party here and what a day it was. Very relaxed vibe, great sports to do and te waterski was a massive hit!! Friendly staff and good food and drinks. Will definitely return and recommend to anyone wanting to have a fun and relaxed day out

Cable skiing was great! The overall service, restaurant food can do with a little TLC.

The food is pricey and not that great. If you into water sports mostly you will love this place. I was hoping it would be a modern setting. The accommodation is like 1 star.

Something different to do! Friendly and helpfull people, lots of fun for the whole family! Just be warned... The watersports are ADDICTIVE!! We will be back soon!!

Enjoyed the paintball - still have the bruises 🤦🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️ Nice water activities. Can cater for large groups. Food is okay. Music is nice. Not the best place to drink. Steep stairs. Steep rock stairs as you get out the water. No rails as you reach the edges. Definitely not a place for children. They must make more effort to make it safer.

Beautiful place, great for swimming. Very strict rules, entrance was affordable but food and drinks were over priced.

Just kak. Super expensive and they will charge you R140 to sit under a small patch of shade on the grass. DO NOT go paintballing here.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ESTABLISHMENT AT ALLHorrific experience at Blue Rock on 13 December 2019. Whilst at the establishment my colleagues and I witnessed a man who jumped in the water to save his friend drown. There was no staff able to assist in the form of a lifeguard and neither was there an adequate first aid medical kit on site at the premises to assist with resuscitation.Witnessed callous behaviour by the owners uninterested in the fact that a man had just passed on at their establishment. Victim blaming on their part and lack of change/implementation of safer conditions for attendees.Consequently have found out that several other people have drowned at this establishment and yet they continue to sell alcohol on the premises and have not employed a lifeguard.Boycott this place.

Not worth it. Everything is expensive and you cannot bring much in to force you to buy. There were no safety staff that I could see and after seeing the Carte Blanche episode I will definitely not return.I have no clue how they can still be operation after so many deaths at the place.

Ive only been twice and on both occasions it was great! Enjoyed swimming in the lake and having a nice spacious lawn to relax. The place is so beautiful and staff are kind. We were lucky enough to have the buffet and everything was delish, keep it up guys! What an experience, I will definitely be back

This is such a great hidden gem. Wonderful for the whole family. Go on a nice sunny day but go early because it can get pretty crowded. So many activities at a reasonable price. A must visit.

This place needs to be shut down. 7 drownings in less than 8 years!! Google the Carte Blanche insert! You will be shocked! Stay well away from this place unless you want to have a 80+% chance of dying It’s really no joke. There is ZERO safety within the park and on the water. Half their bots don’t even run. What a shocking first and last experience.

We hosted our beginning of year party here and we were impressed with the venue, the activities there and the delicious food! I would recommend their pizzas which are very hearty and tastily made. The staff took such good care of our team of around 50 people. Their hospitality was outstanding and we will most definitely return in the future! thanks again!

If I could give zero stars I would.We used to love going here but the owners are so cold. How do you have deaths at your facility and just watch.Everything needs to be paid for, EVEN SHADE. There are no life guards. You cant even take in your own water. Blue rock might as well be a grave yard.

Both times when Ive been here it has been extremely windy that everything just keeps blowing over. We paid for volleyball and couldnt even play it because the wind kept blowing the ball away. I know its not Blue Rocks fault for it being windy, but perhaps they can create better shelter to shield from the wind - because its very unpleasant. Its also very expensive to do any of the activities and you have to pay per hour.On the good side, they had good pizza.

What a great experience at Blue Rock! The staff are friendly and helpful. One tip: Ensure that you budget a minimum of R1 000 if you intend making it a memorable day. I would definitely return to Blue Rock any time!

Always tons of fun. They can create more safety barriers along the cliff side because families do go with young children. Can also have more activities for the young kids and perhaps add a play park.

A great place to just unwind. The water is absolutely divine. Cleanest water around! Will definitly be back in summer! Best to book a spot for the day. The pink cushions to rent are really cozy. No drinks allowed in as there is a bar but you may bring food along.

Wow! What an absolutely incredible venue that serves as the perfect backdrop for creating amazing memories with friends and family! I’ve had some of my best moments at Blue Rock and it truly caters to everyone. Incredible views, lovely staff and fun activities - with the zipline being the absolute highlight! UNSAFE & LACKS INTEGRITY!I am appalled at the callousness and lack of integrity of the staff, particularly management. While I was there attending a staff function on the 13th December 2019, a young man drowned while trying to save one of his colleagues. This man was in his late twenties, was a husband and father of a 2 year old.Not only did a bystander have to perform CPR until the paramedics arrived, but the owners showed no emotion and took zero accountability for the lack of safety precautions. There were no lifeguards or staff available during the incident to assist.Once the man was declared dead, his body still covered up on the premises by the water, the music and water activities continued, and the bar stayed open even after my organisations management team requested that they close the place down out of respect for the recently deceased man. Management refused, saying they cant tell people what to do and their staff cant leave because they need to clean up.This company shows no value for human life, lacks integrity and is a place I will NOT recommend to anyone.

I had a very poor experience, especially for the price you pay. When we came in the staff was very unfriendly, we went for the rides but then the rides werent working all day so we couldnt do anything. you have to pay for sitting under cover. There was company that had their year end function next to us and one of the poles of the shading came loose and hit a lady on the face, her face was bleeding, her eye was swollen and Purple, she also had a concussion. they sent a lady with a 1st aid kit that had no idea what she was doing and she wasnt very friendly as well. one of the managers came around to ask happened and couldnt bother himself and he left again. When the ambulance came to fetch her not one staff member came and helped. This was very bad....

Awesome place for group outings and activities. They have tons contact them for a quote its really easy. They have yummy pizzas, a bar all water sports you can think of paintballing for a broad age group as well. Had a nice day here for my team building and we had a blast. So thanks :)

A wonderful gem for the whole family. Set in an old quarry the view is just breathtaking. From paint balling , swimming , skiing and multiple activities it is a must experience. Good restaurant, gear for hire , ski shop . Kiddies play park. A must for the adventurers. Jumping of a cliff into the water is just awesome. Great for team building as well as the family. A must.

Spending the day at Blue Rock was the most fun I’d had in such a long time! It’s the perfect way to spend a summers day in Cape Town!There are so many amazing activities... although my favorite would have to be the fufi- slide! The food and the staff were also really great; I can’t wait to go back soon!

Lots of potential but needs friendly owners - it was a very windy day and few people. We made sure that we keep an eye on the children as there are no life savers!

Mixed feelings. Entrance fee is OK, but inside you must pay extra for everything. We were not alowed to take in bottled water, but other people were there with cool bags.

My summer season always includes a visit to Blue Rock with loads of friends. The sun,water, paintball, skiing and happy vibes all around make this one of the best destinations for a sunny cape town day. I always have the best times with the people I love at this beautiful soul happy venue adding house music to this is just an out of this world experience

Blue Rock offer a fun day in the sun around a beautiful quarry. Fun for the whole family but especially for teens as you can wakeboard, knee board, sup and canoe. X

Overrated. Staff are not very friendly. Everything is overpriced. Things to take note of: You cannot enter with your own soft drinks, you cannot take your own umbrella/Gazebo, and you basically have to pay for shade. Once inside all activities have to be paid for separately and can only be used for a certain amount of time. Ripoff to say the least. I wanted to see what this place was all about but I will definitely not return.

Unique experience, its an old quarry with a pulley system for skiing, wake boarding and being pulled through the water. Great for beginners, pretty intense experience and will leave you achy for a day or two after. Venue is basic, focus is on the sportsing. There is a simple cafe for a burger and chips after your time in the water.

Such an amazing experience being there. Food was great, atmosphere was wonderful and the overall vibe was on top.

I was very disappointed. Went there for breakfast today. Two eggs....one was only the yellow of the egg no white. Toast was not toasted. Butter was like water and the refillable pots of jam were not hygienic as they were not sealed. The bacon was dry and the sausage portion was so small. For R75.00 and then the tip is automatically added to the bill. It was shocking. Really thought it would be a nice breakfast but hugely dissappointed.Can you imagine a fried egg with no white. The waitress when asked about it just laughed.Oh well ..wont be going back in any hurry

I visited Blue Rock on the 13th of December 2019 with my colleagues for an end of year work function. We were very excited for a day of fun however the day took a dark turn when a man, we later found out his name was Thando, drowned in the damn. Thando was also there for an end of year work function. This was a shock to all and what added to the tragedy was the response of the owner and staff.The reaction time was extremely slow, it seemed there was not qualified staff trained with first aid. Another lady visiting the park had to perform CPR until paramedics arrived.There were no lifeguards on site. Once Thandos lifeless body was covered and still lying there, the resort allowed the activities such as wake boarding to continue. Blue rock continues to take no responsibility for the deaths at there resort. Three deaths under a year. Their approach is also completely inhumane and I will never return back to Blue Rock.

I love Blue Rock. It has become our summer family destination. The views are beautiful, the prices are just right and everything is very organised and clean. The staff are very friendly and helfpul. I forgot my bank card there one day when paying for the zip line and they phoned me the same evening to let me know they will keep it for me. Such honest staff and a beautiful place to relax and enjoy nature. My family from the kids to the adults love jumping off the rocks - its a thrill! We love the fact that we dont have to bring much along as you can hire everything that you need right there. The food at the restaurant is also delicious. I would recommend Blue Rock to everyone! You have to experience it. Weve been going there whenever we get the chance! Keep up the good work guys!

On Friday the 13th of December 2019, our organisation went to Blue Rock Adventure Park for our end of year function. During our visit, a man from another organisation jumped into the quarry to help one of his colleagues who was distressed in the water. In his attempt to help, he hit his head and subsequently drowned. We watched as other guest at the Park tried to bring him back by performing CPR. Roughly ten minutes later, the National Sea Rescue Institute team and paramedics arrived. Unfortunately, they were not able to resuscitate him. We are deeply shocked and saddened by the loss of his life.We also want to express concern and disappointment over Blue Rock’s appalling reaction to this accident. Once people became aware of the accident, help was immediately requested. Blue Rock, a business who makes money from water sports, did not have a lifeguard or medic onsite, although they were fully booked. The slow reaction speed of the owners and their team, who was onsite, was horrific. Their first aid kit did not have appropriate gear to assist with CPR. After the paramedics declared time of death, business resumed as per usual. People were getting back on wakeboards while the man who passed on, was still lying next to the water waiting for the police to arrive. Even after we expressed our concern and shock about what was happening to the owners of the establishment, customers were allowed to continue with their activities and play. The Blue Rock staff was also expected to continue with their duties. We condemn this kind of behavior witnessed by the owners. From one business to another, you need to do better. We are also horrified to learn that this is not the first drowning at Blue Rock this year. We will share our eyewitness observations with authorities who are investigating the incident and I recommend others who observed events to do the same.

Really nice place to swim but other than that not great at all. You cant take in umbrellas, tents or gazibos, you need to pay for shade which is ridiculous. Youre not allowed to bring in any liquid beverages of any kind, or make any fires and the manageress of the place is very disrespectful.

I went fufi-sliding. It does state on the indemnity form that all facilities are used at own risk. There is not even a first aid kit on the premisis! As I landed in the water I was told to swim and when i got to a point where it was safe to stand I cut my foot from one of the rocks, blood dripping everywhere and the people assisting just watched me limp off, no help offered, no band aid, nothing. Last year a boy drowned at the cliff dive and luckily a professional diver was there and to assist but sadly the boy didnt make it. Staff did nothing.There are no life jackets, 1 diving suit and thats about it. I will never go there again. Even if you can swim, I wouldnt recommend getting in that water. I honestly dont even wanna give a star, this place should be shut down.

Safety is NOT A PRIORITY to this place or their management!!!!!!! I saw NO LIFEGUARDS AT ALL which led to a near fatal drowning a few days ago. I fell on very slippery,unstable steps which led to a very bad injury. I did mention to staff member but he was not very interested. The restaurant sucks and way over priced for bad grub. A great setup nonetheless just a pity everything else lowers the stardard. Oh and when you spot sanitary pad floating in the water it makes you wanna throw up!!!!!

We hosted a Back to Work Function at Blue Rock which was lots of fun. The activities kept our employees engaged throughout the day. The Volleyball, Rock Jumping and Fufi Slide were the top winners of the event. Thank you to all the employees from Blue Rock for a memorable day and great start to 2018 for us!

The place was okay ... restaurant way over priced and food was nothing to write home about. Most staff were friendly enough but in no hurry to do anything or help you ... only skiing section staff were a bit more helpful. A bit too expensive for what you get, have to pay for absolutely everything, which makes it a very costly outing at the end of the day

Stunning scenery and lots of fun but you have to pay for almost anything at high rates. Took a glance into the kitchen and saw one of the chefs or waiters having a go at a plate of someone else food.

Was beautiful! Their restaurant was closed as they are open September till may (we didnt know) but they still catered to us with a beautiful view and yummy chicken burger. Beware, they are a bit pricey. For a burger, chips and cream soda it was R100 and for a small chips R30.
