From start to finish we received professional service. Mari welcomed us and handled briefing us with ease. The shop and equipment are in very good condition and well maintained. Marius is a brilliant instructor, he sets you at ease and communicates well. Trust is a big deal when learning something totally new and way out of your comfort zone. Madeleine took wonderful photos of our experience and even helped talk me out of a bout of nervousness and fear. What an amazing first experience with diving, we definitely want more. This is a Must do Bucketlist Item that needs to be added, especially with the Just Africa Scuba Crew. An amazing crew with world class knowledge about the ocean. Great organization skills, passionate about what they’re doing and most importantly for making me feel save, comfortable and welcome under the water. I highly recommend Just Africa Scuba! I recently had an unforgettable under water experience with Just Africa Scuba! I did a PADI Discover Scuba Diving course to learn the basic of scuba diving and take my first breath under water! Being a bit anxious in general for any water activities I was concerned, but Marius is a great instructor and continuously made me feel calm!They also incorporate marine conservation practices into their scuba courses and actively promote and facilitate marine conservation projects.I will definitely go back some time and get my PADI open water certification.

What an experience we had today at Just Africa Scuba based at Krystal Beach Hotel in Gordons Bay. From the moment you enter their store you can feel their passion for what they do and the ocean.Marius and his team were amazing with my son doing his PADI Discover Scuba Diving Program. Your safety is their top priority.They have absolutely amazing packages to suit anyone. Great for couples, families and groups or even to take on a new hobby alone.I highly recommend them and wish to thank them for teaching him this amazing life skill.

I love the ocean, I love sea life, I have a fear of water!!!I decided to, even though I have a fear of being in water, at least try scuba. Marius from Just Africa Scuba assisted me through this. I did the Discover Scuba Diving course where I was introduced to the scuba gear and had the opportunity of experiencing all of this in the safety of a swimming pool. A lot of patience and everything being done at my pace made the experience a positive and well-remembered one.I would recommend Just Africa Scuba to anyone who would like to try this out regardless of their fears and inhibitions. This is definitely a company and instructor who have a passion for what they do. You always have the feeling that it is all about you and not just some event which you paid for.

I had the opportunity to do my open water dive course with Just Africa Scuba. The experience was absolutely amazing and professional, the dive gear of the shop is in great condition, clean & well maintained. Marius and his team went out of their way in all aspects of the course. Marius is a brilliant instructor and has so much knowledge and much needed patience which was an absolute blessing when we needed to master the surface and underwater skills required to achieve the certification. The dive course package special I bought included a 2 night stay at the Krystal Beach hotel in Gordonsbay where the Just Africa Scuba shop is based and where the pool sessions are conducted. This was also a huge blessing to be able to relax at the hotel where we had an awesome room with beautiful views. Thank you Marius, Mari, Anri, Katia, Reinhard and Madelein who took underwater pictures of our wonderful first diving experience, you are a great team! I attended a White Shark Conservation talk that Just Africa Scuba presented in collaboration with SharkSafe Barrier™. I was incredibly lucky and won a complete diving course, which I am very grateful for and looking forward to.But what I must remark on is the enthusiasm that Just Africa Scuba students and the senior staff has for the ocean - you can just see the love they have for the sea and the creatures within. I recently started doing my PADI Open Water course through Just Africa Scuba and its been an amazing experience. The instructors are patient and really work with you at your own pace and Ive really appreciated it. From my theory, pool and ocean sessions the support and encouragement from the team has been unending.Just Africa Scubas passion for the ocean and marine life is not only contagious; you really want to be a part of it!I would highly recommend them to new divers as well as divers looking to do further advance courses!

Awesome Experience

A friend and I decided to take up the special offer Just Africa Scuba is currently running on the Discover Scuba Diving. First, you need to understand were I am coming from: I am 44 years old, over weight and very much set in my ways. It takes a lot out of somebody like me to take up a challenge like this. The theory part was done indoors. We were taken through the gear, how to pack the crate, use of the gear, hand-signals, fitting of the dive suits (which resulted in much laughter between my friend and I), etc. All questions and concerns were answered. The practical part was done at Strand Public Swimming Pool. This is where my nerves really started kicking in... For no good reason at all. The team was very comforting. First we kitted up and were once again taken through the gear. Next we got into the pool. The rest of the session were done to ease us into the next phase. From breathing through the regulator in shallow water to doing the skills in the deep end of the pool: Taking our masks off completely and replacing a removed regulator. There was a moment where we thought an obstacle will prevent us from completing the session, only for the team to come up with a solution and enabling us to complete the session. Whenever we could not master a skill, we were taken through it again and gently helped to overcome the mistakes made. Before the time I thought to myself: What have I gotten myself into. Afterwards I just knew: I cannot wait to do the Open Water Course and start exploring the other 70% of the earth!!

Ive been on a Sodwana dive trip with Just Africa Scuba, which was an amazing experience and Im definitely planning on doing more trips through them in the future!Other than that, Ive also been on numerous local dives with them and am currently furthering my dive education (PADI courses) through them. The staff is always friendly and ready to help.What makes them so unique, is the fact that theyre not just simply a dive centre, but theyre also passionate about educating people to become better divers and on the importance of marine conservation.I would gladly recommend Just Africa Scuba!

I did a couple off guided dives with Just Africa Scuba and DM, Dreyer was fantastic. We didn’t get lost and he pointed out a lot of things that I wouldn’t have seen. Great experience!!

Ive done my Open Water course here and it was amazing. I first felt a bit scared, but thanks to Marius Ive become more at ease and started to enjoy the diving more.

It was a wonderful experience to do our first dive experience with Just Africa Scuba. It was a challenge to overcome my fear of water, but knowing that the instructor was trained to handle any situation helped a lot. They were very quiet and gave us enough time to master the skill without putting pressure on us. That way, even my eight-year-old could enjoy it. The whole team was professional, helpful and very friendly. I recommend it to anyone, especially a special opportunity to do it as a family. Its a shame we have to go back to the Free State!

Just Africa scuba helped me to make my dream a reality. I loved the water from a young age and have always wondered what it is under the water and what it looks like Just Africa scuba helped me to finally answer all my answers.

I had 3 classes with Marius who he explained to me everything I need to know to go diving. After I started learning, I began to love diving. They offered the classes very professionally and they answered all my questions I had.We had 2 dive sessions, one at the pool and one at long beach. The pool session was great fun, I got a chance to get used to what its like to go scuba diving, I was taught different skills that are essential for diving. At long beach, I received one-to-one classes that helped me a lot with the few skills I didnt know. It was a long but fun day.Thank you to Marius and his team for teaching me how to dive.
