I am so impressed with the service I received this morning. I am telling everyone to use Bellville Traffic Department. I had to do a car license renewal.The doors opened at 8am, I was part of the second batch of people that was allowed inside, and I was still done by 8h13. I am really impressed. Keep up the great work.

Clinic shares the same premises as the Traffic Dept and we patients are treated like farm animals by having to stand in different ailment batches on pavements THANX to Covid-19s Coronavirus .... BUT this morning at 8ish there were Taxis being chased by Police in 2 White cars with blue lights flashing and Sirens and.lets not exclude Gun shots, who shot NO 1 KNOWS. Patients were all inside into car parking area. Thank heaven we were attended before 10am. 🙏🙌🙌🙌🙏 We safe back home in Kuilsriver.

I stay in Oudtshoorn but often work long periods in Cape Town i can not go home,my vehicle licence expired now while i am in Cape Town.I went to Bellville licencing department just to be told that i can not renew it there i must go to Oudtshoorn.I am only going home in 2 months time. This is outrages it is one system so now i mudt drive whith a unlicensed vehicle

I usually get fair service while being patient. Today my daughter gets home in tears because of some incompetent person doing the eye test for her learners application. The machine was malfunctioning not showing any characters with the result the assistant started shouting at her. When they fixed the machine they did not even apologize. Ill bet if you slid a R100 note over the counter youd get a different result. Ill be renewing my drivers soon and hope I get the same person to assist me.

Very impressed with Bellville Traffic Department this morning. No long qs, assisted by friendly staff, u complete your COVID form and sanitize. Only a limited amount of people allowed inside. Clean at counters. Comfortable chairs with enough space while waiting.

Under the current situation with long quest and all which I understand but its unnecessary. If staff can do what they are paid to do its not necessary to wait so long. Less talking means more productivity. Ive been applying for a job at the traffic department for 4yrs but was unsuccessful its sad and I know I can do it. I just hope one day I will get a job there.

Seeing I only go to an institution like this once every 5 years one would addume that every once in 5 years there would definitely be something new when I get there. Quite so, if only now we have to sanatize and distance ourself from the next guy. But one thing that never fled the scene, is good manners, politeness etc.

Waited 5h30min.. Doesnt matter if youre early. You will wait at least 2 to 3 hours on average. Come ready with a camp chair. And be patient. Oh make sure you have all the required forms or you will repeat the process

The website says they close at 12h30 on a Saturday but after standing in the very long que, the chap said they close at 11h30 on Saturdays and we wontmake the cut-off. We live in a country with such a high unemployment rate but then our public services cant even serve the working class tax payer on a Saturday... go figure.

Wasnt at Traffic Department. I went to Reed Clinic for my Drs Appointment. Arrived 6.15 am departed 10 am. Loooong wait for meds. Everybody must stand outside in the street. Until they bring out their meds. Not a pleasant experience at all.

Just been there this morning to renew my vehicle licence. Because of the backlog with Covid-19 I knew the queue was going to be loooooong. Got there at 5am. I was number 9 for the morning. Had a good chat with my fellow early birds. The doors opened at 8am promptly and I got in and out by 08:30. The staff are pleasant and try efficiently to work down the queues. Saw one guy who was the queue manager walking up and down, informing people. I must admit I feel sorry for the people arriving as I left. Going to be a long day for them.

Renewing my license disc there has always been quick, easy and painless. They do allow card payments, and they make copies where required, so no need to stress about doing so in advance. An overall decent experience. Once, the lady even accommodated me emailing her the correct documents when I had the wrong one, but she was one in a million! Good luck!

Queue was long (90 minutes) as by any other branch. But management of queueing was efficient and Covid-19 aware. Im specifically leaving this review because I was pleasantly suprised on the Covid risk mitigation measures they have implemented while I was there. Social distancing, minimizing amount of people inside the building, wiping the surfaces of the counter after each client finished. Well done.

I went with the intention to renew my license. I stood in the queue for hours. At 15h30 the security simply slammed the door. After one person made a fuss they allowed him in and gave him a pass to skip the queue the next day (pic is attached). To the gentleman who manned the queue, the service rendered was pathetic and unprofessional. For staff to not be prepared to accommodate motorists in the time of Covid-19 is a disgrace. You deserve half a star, not one.

The temperature in the building is rather high with hardly any ventilation. In my opinion the environment is unhealthy for both staff and clients.Surely the process can be enhanced, where a licence can be printed once applied for and paid online. Waiting in that queue for long periods of time costs money!

It was really a terrible experience. They are so disorganised and really have no clue about customer service. It took 6 hours to apply to get my vehicle licenced. They were off line and had at 1 stage only 1 person working. How can they be offline after being closed for such a long time when there was over a +100 people waiting to have their vehicles registered. Simply put, they just dont care.

Due to COVID-19 the long lines are expected, but there was no order whatsoever. It took me 4 hours to transfer a car onto my name. Many people were turned away after waiting for hours due to incorrect documents. It would be helpful if someone could come and check everyones documents within the first hour of waiting.
