PRICELESS SERVICE. My son passed away Dec 2019. I hadn’t backed up priceless videos and photos of his last 6 months on my IPhone. When my iPhone 11 Pro Max screen got smashed I went to Istore Canal Walk and explained my story. Being unable to unlock the phone (dysfunctional screen) they couldn’t help. Replacing the screen would require wiping the data. I called Apple in the US and again explained my story and the value of the photos and videos to me which really were priceless. I spoke to the most senior people at Apple technical. They gave me the same answer and couldn’t help. With nothing left to lose I found Irepairer on the web, called them, explained and dropped off the phone. The most obliging and honest and humble people you can imagine - dealt mostly with Jack. They said they would give it a go and would not charge me irrespective of the hours they put in, if they couldn’t help. Where does that happen today?! Long story short, they tried many things over many weeks and they NEVER EVER gave up. Along the way I had constant communication from them to let me know what they had done and where they were and what they were going to try next. It was a process and it was clear they cared about my situation. They were putting in days and days of work with the likely prospect it seemed of getting zero reward for it. Long story short: today I not only have all the priceless photos of my precious boy back, but I have a functional phone with everything as it was before the accident. For labour they charged me less than a Dr earns in 1 hr. They knew from the outset I would have paid anything for these and yet there was never any question of them taking advantage of my situation or treating me any differently to the next customer. Dont be put off by the humble location and set-up (they moved office and they are renovating apparently). What they lack in aesthetics they make up in quality and professionalism. I needed my Thinkpad sorted for work ASAP and Jack and his team made sure it happened within a few days. It was also a semi-complex motherboard assessment and fuse replacement. They wont just change the screen for the sake of making a buck and saving time, they will go the extra mile and spend time looking for the real issue. I took my laptop in twice because my power button wouldn’t work, eventually it worked but now I’m overseas and it isn’t working properly again. I took it to a Lenovo repair centre and they have to replace the keyboard. I spent R2000 with these guys and they didn’t fix the problem and then I have to be in Bali for the problem to be resolved. I also didn’t get a response from them when I asked what exactly they did to ‘fix’ the problem which was clearly a quick fix. Waste of money; they should’ve repaired properly and replaced it in the first place

How does a technology business that cant be bothered to update the Google maps listing expect me to trust them to work on my equipment. Totally unprofessional. Just wasted an hour looking for non existent premises.

Does not know the difference between a printer and a laptop telepathically.I called about a problem with the ink on my printer and repeated my question twice told him it was a printer then asked me again if it was a laptop or printer. ?????? Cannot trust to take it to them

I brought in my MacBook Air for a check up because it was no longer charging (and it was NOT due to the cable). I waited in the drive way for 2 hours for them to fix it and paid around R1.400. They said they would send a 3-month guarantee to my email address the same day, which they never did.Meanwhile, after I got home I was able to charge the MacBook for about 2 days before it stopped charging again, so it obviously didnt get fixed properly. When I called about the guarantee again a few days later, they said they would send it to my email address right away, so I could come get it fixed after lockdown, but apparently forgot right after hanging up the phone, because I never got a guarantee. Very poor customer service :( Next time Ill go to a real Apple Store and pay a bit more rather than wasting my money here. Dont recommend.

This is the best service I have had all year. Within an hour of calling my laptop with a cracked screen was picked up. Jack kept in contact and by 9pm the screen was replaced and he sent me a pic of it working perfectly. It was dropped off first thing the next morning. Fast, efficient, fairly priced and friendly. They fixed my Lenovo Thinkpad which had a dead screen backlight at R1250.00 plus VAT in 2 days after Lenovos South African official repairer, quoted me ±R36 000 and more than 6 weeks for the same repair. These guys can do component level repairs which is not only much cheaper, but also much quicker and more environment friendly.

My laptop would not switch on. I took it into iReparer for an assessment, which they offer as a free service. They diagnosed that the power supply management system on the mother board had failed and the cooling system had clogged with dust. Possibly, the clogged cooling system could have caused the power supply problem. A reasonable quote was prepared for the remedial work and I gave them the go-ahead. Within about 1,5 hours, they phoned to say the repair was complete, but there was a possible problem with the operating system which hung up part way through the boot sequence. I advised that I had a rescue disk, and would attempt to correct this problem myself. I was only able to fetch the computer next morning, and Jack said that I could phone for assistance with the operating system recovery. I was able to rectify the problem myself, but received an unsolicited follow up call. The computer was fully operational by then, thanks to their excellent service. The whole experience with iRepairer was exceptional and have no hesitation in awarding then a five star review.

Dropped off a bare laptop motherboard two weeks ago, still no feedback as to when it will be fixed.Im only getting vague answers back with no updates that makes me feel like they are following up or even care. I wondering if all these positive reviews are even legitimate...Their website states they opened in 2006, with 73 652 repaired devices in 2017. Thats 201 repaired devices a day, yet they operate from a residential flat. They also state their average repair time is 45mins among some other questionable figures, yet Im waiting 2 weeks with no date or cost when the motherboard will be repaired.

My laptop had crashed and could not be booted into Windows. After several failed attempts at restoring to factory settings, I had eventually made contact for assistance. This company was an absolute life-saver when I needed laptop repairs - and all the magic happens in a modest residential premises! Jack, one of the owners, took the time to make countless phone calls to me to explain all my options for repair, including prices for the parts I needed, and supplier lead time etc - and none of the work I needed cost very much They take all computer jobs very seriously regardless of the cost or profits for them. They kept me informed throughout the process which - because I needed certain parts to be ordered form overseas - took several weeks all in all. They will pick up and drop off your machine - anything to spare you extra stress during the stressful process of having a broken laptop. The work was carried out in an extremely professional manner and my machine is as good as new. In fact, I wouldve wasted a lot of money on a new machine if I hadnt taken Jacks advice and simply improved mines speed by doing some software tweaks.

I’m absolutely chuffed by the service and technical skills of these guys, and I can vouch for their mail-in repair service as well.I spilled my drink on my MacBook Air which promptly died.The local Apple Store were not even willing to attempt a diagnostic and repair for liquid damage, only quote on a new replacement. I was pretty much resigned to losing my computer, some unbacked-up data and having to buy a new replacement.I finally found iRepairer online but my heart sank when I found they were only in Cape Town. Luckily they offer a mail-in service, and though I was a little skeptical about couriering a computer cross country to a company I had never dealt with before, but everything worked like a charm.I got a call when the computer arrived at their facility, the next day the free diagnostic and quote by email (lower than I expected) and the day after payment confirmation that the computer was fixed. I used this opportunity to replace the battery as well.
