So today I saw a nice gaming chair for my husband through the window. The gaming chair was black and red which is the perfect color because my husband setup at home is black and red. Decided to go in and check this chair out. Loved it immensely so I went to two guys working at this shop to ask how much this gaming chair cost. I gt a vague answer about R5000. So now im asking questions about this chair to the guys about will i have put it together or how does it work because I wanted this as a birthday gift for my husband. I was utterly ignored I dnt knw if it was due to the fact that I was a woman walking in there or because I probably didnt look like i could afford it, or it could have been the bag of clothing I had in my hand that gave them the idea that i would never be able to afford it. While I was standing there another couple comes and this guys was looking at volcano headsets he got t more attention than me that was willing to pay that money to make my husband birthday special. So thanks computer mania ill will go look somewhere else for that chair. You guys let a R5000 walk out the door for a R400 volcano headset. 👏👏

Friendly and fast service. Luke restored my laptop after a Windows crash and went out of his way to be helpful and encouraging with Windows 10 (which was new to me) and very patient! Theres a great vibe and genuine interest in assisting customers.

Due to a power surge from loadshedding I had to replace my laptop. After 4 months of hell at my local computer shop in Robertson I finally got my money back and went straight to computer mania in Cavendish, where I always went before moving out of the city. After talking me through my options, within 3 days they had sorted me out with a new laptop that exactly fulfilled all my requirements including transferring my data and doing some customization. I will always use them. Even if it means driving through to Cape Town for it.

I have never come across such a rude salesman in my life. Completely ignoring his customers and swinging his lanyard against his junk... Gross

Had a problem with hard drive and it had to be replaced, they were fast to find what was wrong and contacting me with the quotation.Once I accepted the quote, which was competitively priced, a new drive was put in. They were really fast and efficient and I got my laptop back the same day.I will definitely recommend Computer Mania for those that are looking for tech support or repairs.

I brought my laptop in to Computer Mania when it stopped charging or switching on. I was told I would need a battery replacement, and filled in a form giving them my contact details as well as describing what was wrong. I was told that they would get back to me as soon as possible, but after a week I had not heard anything. I phoned Computer Mania every week for over a month and every time I phoned I was told that the new battery had still not arrived and that they would phone me when it did. I eventually decided to go in store to see what was happening, only to discover that they had LOST my form, and so my laptop was just sitting there with no record of who it belonged to nor what was wrong with it. I filled out another form and waited another week before phoning only to be told that the battery was not the problem, and that they would send my laptop to their workshop. They could give me no estimate on how long I would wait to know the problem, nor how long any replacements of parts would take. A week and a half later they still had not communicated with me AT ALL and I decided to withdraw my laptop. After taking it to another laptop repair place (who got back to me on the same day that I gave in my laptop) I have learnt that the Computer Mania guys did not replace all the parts that they took out of the laptop in their workshop, but have rather kept them. I will never be going back and I would never recommend going here for assistance.

What I like about this branch is that they dont only sell you a product, but they take the time to ask you what are your needs and they get an understanding as to what you are wanting to do with your purchase. I was forced to go here as the Tokai branch, or non-branch I later learned, did not have the item in stock I was looking for. I enjoyed the convenience of covered parking and the opportunity to get Cinnabons on my way out. The store is Tiny so its hard not to notice someone walking in. I browsed after being ignored, technicians busy on a Windows install, and found the Wifi Extender and grabbed a PC mouse as well. During the 15 minutes or so of waiting to be helped, another lady customer walks in and starts browsing. Im waiting at the cash register to pay and get out of there when the Windows install gets put on hold and the Tech guy comes over and says, Im not sure who was here first but let me help the lady... lmao for realz? I had to interject, I paid and left, He was helpful and the install was simple and worked first time...

I had windows 10 installed on my laptop recently plus excellent service by a gentleman called Moegamat

Absolutely terrible service. The staff are clueless and lazy. I commissioned some upgrades to be made to my machine and it was returned to me SEVERAL times, each time with a new problem that they had caused! Im a very lenient person but after my 6th trip back to the shop I was starting to lose my cool. I demanded the service fee be returned (as Id spend double the service fee in driving back and fourth, paying for parking and calling them). I was met with indifference and ultimately with defensive behavior. I could not stress the degree of bad service I experienced and how much I urge anyone looking for a machine or even worse REPAIRS, DO NOT GO TO COMPUTER MANIA.

Bad customer service.Bought an HDMI to micro-HDMI cable and it broke after 3 weeks or so. Went back to get it replaced and the staff told me that they need to send it in to the supplier and wait for the supplier to send a new one back, and couldnt just give me one they already have.This is already defeating the whole point of buying at a store rather than straight from the suppliers. A big reason why anyone would buy at a shop is to have the shop take the risk of dealing with the suppliers and mitigate any delays due to shipping.The guy told me repeatedly that it would only take 4 days to get back (which isnt too bad so I said ok) and when I called after 5 days he just said, Sorry hasnt arrived yet. Making all my problem.
