I phoned HiFi Corp twice to enquire about availability of stock regarding a Philips air fryer they advertise. Everytime I was transferred to sales, on the line for 3 minutes and then the sales consultant closed the phone in my ear twice! I must say, excellent customer service, will definitely purchase my Philips Essential XL 9280 Air fryer from Takealot!!!!

Its clean and the staff are very quick to help customers. However, its quite a small store and you should not expect to find everything youre looking for. This store is much suited to people looking for entry-level products.

Incredibly disappointing. I resolved to their online af to buy office chairs, could not buy the quantity needed, so went to the store in Somerset West. The store staff tried to assist but even they could not do so as it transpired that only 2 items per customer were allowed.As the website does not advertise this i was understandably annoyed, so the chap looked on the stock list to direct me to a store that might have stock. 1 chair in the Western Cape at N1 City, 60km away.I understand about using loss leaders to entice clients into stores to buy, but blatant misrepresentation on your website and lying to clients is going to lose you huge amounts of credibility, consumer confidence and sales...

Went there for a clothing iron, which I got, but they didnt have a wifi extender.... this is the 2nd time I go to this store only to be disappointed with the items not in stock.

Got super discounts on my items purchased. Store is well stocked and the staff was very helpful and professional. Well impressed with service received.

Bought a tablet from them. Was not satisfied. Brought the tablet back and tested to see if there were any hardware problems with a new one. Still was not satisfied with the tablet. Asked for a refund and they helped me. Service here was great and the staff were very friendly towards us. Especially since it was close to closing time.

Very unhappy with the shop, I first tried to get hold of them in the morning. No answer or engaged. After many attempts I decided to drive through for a special they have on their website. But unfortunately they even have not received any stock of the item I was interested in.

Absolutely terrible service! Hifi Corp delivered a stove and fridge separately - both appliances broken/damaged. The packaging of the fridge was intact which means it was PACKED ALREADY BROKEN. Eight days later and still NO RESPONSE other than being told that the matter would be escalated. Disappointed. Disgusted.

Sales persons were polite and knowledgeable about product I bought. Price was cheapest of all shops I sourced.

What ever you order, it will take a min of 14 working days, not two weeks but 14 working day min.Customer service is very average, mainly consisting of copy paste and lots of repetition without actually answering any questions.Not very helpful, Recommendation (anyone else).I would load a picture, but im still waiting for my order.ETA, 14 days after my order, current location, 14 days after my order.Hence the reason for this review. Use at your own risk

Worst service ever!!! Purchased JBL headphones on 8 June. Made over 20 calls and multiple emails to the call centre and RTT but nobody can tell me where my headphones are.I’m speechless!!! Definitely not a retailer that I would recommend to friends and family.

Phoned twice in a row to make an enquiry, could just as well have phoned my dead grandmother, would have gotten the same result! Two different people answered, both can be described with a single word : pathetic. Greet me, tell me where you work, who you are and ask me how you can help me, not that difficult, is it? If you are incompetent on product and stock matters, at least I can give you a tick against the friendly service box! Come on HiFi Corp, you guys can do better! Training, training, training!!!

Generally good prices and friendly staff. Although what gets me every time is that very few TVs have an HD feed going through them. How does one see what the screen is capable of? This is with most stores. This should definitely be looked into across the board.

If you buy anything in store, do not pay extra for delivery. Delivery is free online so the staff will just keep your money and reorder your products online in front of you.

The store is good. The salespeople are friendly and knowledgeable but this customer care and manager just dont give a damp. We had to wait for the customer service lady to saunter in. We were them told because we bought it online and didnt have the paper work and because the system was offline we would have to wait. I tried to talk to the manager who instead of using management skills to assure us it would be sorted out, just continued to blame us. Sadly. I left the shop and bought the aircon from another online vendor at R250 more rather than support bad service

Really like the prices and products, but the staff is another story. Rude and no knowledge about the products that they have to sell. Asked them about a part on a washing machine and instead of saying that they dont know or they can find out, they made up a bogus story about whats its used for. Asked them about the dryer and got another made up story. Other than that, yelling across the store at their friends while helping us, was very disrespectful and unprofessional. I suggest that HiFi Corp take a closer look at how their stores are run.. or well not run. We did end up buying from HiFi Corp, but that is no thanks to the staff.

Had to exchange tv and was treated very kindly by staff. Transaction was done in record time with utmost competence.

Useless products that wont last. Bought a Sansui car radio. First one lasted 3 days, exchanged it for another one witch lasted 6 days. The instalations and travel back and forth cost is now exceeding what the radio cost... NEVER AGAIN!!!!

Friendly staff

Bad quality product, poor customer service!I bought a brand new fridge (not a cheap one either) from HiFi Corp Somerset Mall, firstly their delivery fee is ridiculous, charging over R300 to deliver less than 5km away, so I organised my own transport. Got my fridge home and a week in, noticed that the freezer seal wasnt making proper contact (factory fault) so the freezer iced up completely and was continually icing and melting onto the floor. I called to ask for a replacement, and went through 2 weeks of calling and emailing back and forth to try and get the permission to replace my off the shelf new fridge with another one. The mission here was they always promised to get back to me, and usually didnt, so I would have to follow-up call each following day, having to be put through a couple people first each time at the call centre before getting to the right person. Finally they told me I could come and exchange my fridge, but told me delivery would cost me once again!! Surely the least they could do for my troubles is deliver the replacement fridge to me at no cost (again less than 5km away); the fault was not my own. Also they told me that they may not even have the fridge in stock, but said they would call me back and let me know (still waiting for that phone call). All in all, save yourself the trouble and buy your bigger appliances somewhere else!
