This shop was previously Timbuktu Books. They still have islamic literature for sale and a nice kid books section setup .... you are now able to enjoy a lovely cup of coffee or have a meal.I have popped by frequently for breakfast and a light lunch. I prefer to give my order then browse some books before my meal. They have table and chairs inside and outside and some comfy couches. Staff were always friendly. Its not a large seating area inside hence I would go early or after the lunch rush. I think I did see a sign about connecting to the store wifi..

Having wanted a good Cafe experience that wasnt part of the mainstream Mugg and Bean crowd was at the top of my agenda when I decided to give Coffee Cream Co a chance.Id like to go over the different aspects of my experience and hopefully shed some light on the advantages of this Cafe and where they could tune things up a bit.Food: 5/5Their food was absolutely amazing, the masala steak was well spiced and excellently cooked, not being tough or raw. The salads and chips on the side was also well done, the entire meal was filling and well-priced.Hospitality/service: 3/5The wait for everything was really long, usually you get your coffees first but ours came in last, after our meal and dessert were consumed. The owner was really friendly and I did appreciate his personal touch on the restaurant by checking in on his patrons.Coffee: 2/5 unfortunately their coffee wasnt the best, its all about the bean/roast you choose and how you want it to punch through, I didnt really enjoy it and feel that they should look into other tastes or flavors to make it better.Dessert: 2/5 Their dessert needs a lot of work, especially when other cafes near to you are killing it in that department. To compare to Tashreeqas, the cheesecake from coffee cream Co tasted a lot more like lemon meringue and their pancake was quite cold, hard and barely had any toppings. They also only give you one where you get at least two at other establishments.I feel the Cafe has potential and can become much better, wishing them luck in the future.

I went to Coffee and Cream on a Saturday morning after running and had a great breakfast there. The reception was good, and because it was hot, we chose to sit outside which waa refreshing. The waiters are Zimbabwean and I always like to engage foreigners asking them how they came to be here, how long did they travel and why Cape Town specifically. I think people who leave their country to go and work in another are incredibly brave and resilient. I would not find it easy to do thats why I like chatting to them. Most foreigners from Africa see South Africa as a land of opportunity and tell me it ranks highest in Africa because of our economy, our constitution, our bill of rights as well as the rule of law. Thats encouraging in spite of my different opinion.
