What a nice way to start a Kirstenbosch adventure! I used my vitality points to purchase hot chocolate, coffee and a smoothie, staff were very helpful. Also have the best toasted sandwiches!

We have just been to Kirstenbosch to have a coffee and an eclair.We went to the counter and ordered. The lady started making an small espresso and was about to just add a lot of hot water.When I asked if she can make a normal coffee by just running the water through the machine. She then explained that this was not normal and asked that I pay. Like this she made 2 coffees. In the end the 2 coffees and 1 eclair cost us Rand 95.-The coffee was terrible and the explanation to the high price was in a tone of voice, that was very condesending.I would recommend before people walk into the Vida e caffè places that they first look at the menu.From my point of view, we have been completely ripped off and actually I would not recommend this coffee place at all. Very unfriendly staff.

Great place to take small to medium kids, as well as Grannies. The good is wonderful & not proceed exclusively for the tourists : not cheap, but affordable.

Very pleasant for a small coffee break

This Vida is conveniently located at Gate 1 and has a great selection of foods but not the full variety as bigger stores. You do not need to pay an entry fee to access this store. The staff are also very friendly and efficient. The store has been unable to accept Vitality vouchers for weeks now due to an internet issue. The trading hours are also shorter than the gardens opening hours which causes a huge rush at closing time. Would be great if their trading hours were the same as the gardens.

Shout out to Asane (did I get it right?) with the lovely eyelashes and incredible energy. She handled a busy till with such friendly professionalism, all the while making coffees, toasting sandwiches and moving the queue along with a smile. Just awesome!

Kirstenbosch always delights, even on a slightly overcast and cool morning. Went early to avoid crowds and COVID exposure. Takeaway coffee, croissants and muffins for an impromptu breakfast picnic in this beautiful setting. Well worth the visit!

Sorry, I just dont like this chain. Coffee is ok, but in general way overpriced.

Great except coffee was far too hot.

Purchased a bacon & egg & cheese crobun (bun & croissant combination of sort), extremely dissapointed. Bun extremely greasy, egg overcooked and 1 piece of streaky bacon...my work on this guys...as you know, meals at the caffe arent cheap.

Had Gelado which was just what the doctor ordered, and really recommended on a hot day!

Very disappointed we arrived at 4.55pm today for a quick take away and was told we closed. When mentioning Google says they close at 6 we were told to GO. Really a pity as in a time of understanding politeness would have gone along way.

My regular place for a coffee and snack served by the super friendly staff. I love the different specials on offer - coffee and muffin or toastie. This Vida is situated at the lower entrance to the famous Kirstenbosch gardens. Choose to sit on the deck or inside. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible

No one manning the till, slow, rude. Not what I expect from vida.

Lovely lovely lovely place. Pensioners breakfast and menu on a Tuesday as well as free entry for seniors on a Tuesday at Kirstenbosch. Come and enjoy.

Kirstenbosch was Great like always .The guided tour enlightened us with interresting facts about plants etc.

There are 8 outdoor seats, 2 indoors, well ventilated, and the waiters move fast. The price is half that of McDonalds. There are not as many guests as McDonalds, which is relatively easy.

Bad service. The clerk was rude and didnt even clear up the doubts. Then he made a point of slamming the coins on the counter as he returned the change, as if in a hurry and anger. Upon entering the garden I saw that there were other better coffee options. Ill never be back in this place again.

The woman who was a cashiers attendant was extremely arrogant, asking rudely if we would be slow to decide. There was no queue at the moment. When it came time to pay, she complained that she had no change. I said in the end that she should be more polite to tourists, but she didnt even shake.
