The take away sushi special we ordered today was absolutely delicious and really the best value for money. Beautifully presented and nice variety. Ready at the time we’d arranged for collection. We shared it amongst three of us and it filled us all for lunch. We’ll definitely be returning to get some more. Absolutely worth the drive. No complaints at all. Only compliments.

It was our first time at Imperial Gardens, also well known by the locals as the Crispy Duck - and YOU have to go! It’s the loveliest little spot with amazing food. The whole menu is to die for, especially the Sushi, Fish Curry and authentic Durban Bunny Chow - IT WAS FIRE!! The service we received was so amazing and we will definitely be back again (and again). They made us feel welcomed and gave us an amazing all round experience. Definitely our new favourite spot in the area !

What a lovely place, people and amazing food we got to enjoy tonight. It felt like we were visiting some friends at their house and eating some soulful, heart-warming food. From the lamb curry, to the mutton breyani (more than enough for 2 people) and to the fresh, tasty sushi which the kids couldnt stop raving about, there was nothing we could fault! We left there full to the brim, totally satisfied with our experience visiting Imperial Gardens for the first time. We will definitely be going back for more. Thank you for the lovely experience guys, keep it up!

Last night my hubby and I went to the Imperial Gardens in FishHoek. The exterior is underrated but once you are inside you are treated like Royalty from the beautiful owner Vashi.I had mutton bunny chow, the freshest bread overflowing with the best Durban curry Ive had in years! They have full Indian or chinese menu. But surprisingly , my husband who doesnt like heat also chose from the Indian menu. He had butter chicken with roti. Also delicious ! We were the only early diners (understandable given covid conditions) but we were amazed at the constant stream of take-out customers. This restaurant is definitely not a Best Kept Secret and deservedly so!

Coming from Durban and relocating to Jhb i was yet to find a decent Indian eat out. Imperial Gardens in Fishhoek has definitely done justice and would recommend it anyone visiting Cape Town. Was on holiday and touring the town, obviously also feeling for a curry when we saw this place and stopped. Food was on point, divine with beautiful flavours tantalizing our taste buds. Surely blessed hands. This place has left the best impression, most welcoming and hospitable host that i had to go back the next day just to say hi. The friendliness n atmosphere is indescribable. Peeps you have to visit Imperial and experience this for yourself . Want the taste of Durban, Its here. I will most definitely go back when visiting Cape Town. Aunty Vash I wish you guys every success in your business and hope to see you all soon

UPDATED. REPLACEMENT MEALS OFFERED. CHANGED TO 4 STARS FOR FAST RESPONSE.Ordered through Mr Delivery. Normally happy with them as order from them from time to time. Last night however we received butter chicken with what seemed like mini drumsticks with hardly any chicken, my son literally just had the sauce. Then my pea and potatoe curry, it looked like they dredged the last portion from their pot with all the oil, was literally about a cm of oil covering the top. So not edible. I have let Mr Delivery know I hope to hear back from the restaurant to offer a solution or refund... Maybe this was a one time stuff up?

Picked up take out... The noodles were literally just spaghetti. We ordered different dishes and got 4 of the exact same protein with different separate sauces? The chicken wasnt even cooked in any kind of sauce so it was completely dry. Imperial Gardens is the place to see and be seen. It is where locals find soulfood and visitors find a reason to come return to the Western Cape. Come for the metropolitan chic and stay for the romance, the pumping live music, and the curries that flow and flow like the waters of the Ganges. You will ooh at their bunny chow, you will ahh at their chow mein, and their egg drop soup rivals anything you will encounter in all of China. Imperial Gardens gives us something to live for, something to thrive for. You owe it to yourself to pay it tribute.
