The personnel at this Telkom have always proven to be the exception to the norm of what people perceive Telkom to be as a service provider. These guys are really jacked up and offer assistance of the highest quality, surpassing all expectations of what people tend to expect from Telkom. Keep up the good service, Bayside Telkom!

The most unprofessional telkom store I have ever came across..upgraded my cellphone contract and device was not in stock then it was ordered and I got an sms to collect it few days later ..when I get to the store my phone was sold to another customer 😡😡😡waisted my time

Ok, so heres a few laughs while in queue.They cant give me a ticket until 1 of 5 people before me gets called, otherwise the ticket expires before you get called.In other words, their service is too slow for their own scheduling system.One of the clients cant get an Iphone, you know the most expensive brand on the market, without having to pay an extra R40 per month, that is 24 x R40 = R960 for the charger, an essential part of having the device. Day light robbery, but I suppose you pay the price to make your image shine.Thankfully after 50 min in the queue it took only 12 min to resolve my problem, a sim card that just out of the blue, stopped working which at least was replaced for free.Then the last little laugh is to get charged R8 for parking, Telkom still getting the last laugh. 😅

If you have time to waste, go to this telkom. They have a large staff compliment hanging about. But things take forever to process. With lots of slow walking, slow system, personal chats, 5 people needed for consultation before something happens. You will be helped. Please be patient.

This morning I needed to do a sim swap, not knowing I needed my mother to be with as well as it was her sim,I was using , I told the lady with the braids I could not have my mother by me as I needed my number to stop as faulty sim, with in a second the lady actioned situation and did my sim swop, with my proof of address same as my mother. I take my hat off to her ,she was super excellent, within 5mins I was out again , I could not get her name, but the lady with the long braids.

Went there for a sim swap. I only had a drivers license with me and i was told i cant be assistant because they need a ID instead of a drivers license for a sim swap. They have a fingerprint recognition system and my pic for that matter. They could nit even explain why they can not assist excet that they need my ID. So dissapointed. Will never use their services again

I found the staff very helpful but upon arrival at Telkoms premises I asked for something to sit on whilst waiting for service as I have a knee problem and cannot stand for too long. The manager Mr. Nasief Kahaar explained to me that they had nothing for me to sit on as all customer seating had been removed due to covid rules. This in my opinion is absolutely ridiculous.

After having been a Telkom customer for more than 35 years and even also amply allowing for the current virus problem, I am disgusted with the service (or more accurately, NON service) I have been getting for the last slightly more than a month. There are some very good people working here , but they are horribly let down by some others whose focus is completely misplaced and we , the customers so often suffer as a result. My bad experience was with Telkom, and not this specific shop but they DO represent this experience which is less than 1 out of 10

I returned to Telkom today after over a year abroad. I got Bongani. The girls got customer service skills! Im very grateful for her positive attitude and support. The online sales team frazzled my nerves this past week. She made a clean sweep and sorted out all my queries, got my sim-only deal organized and did it with grace and professionalism.

The experience I had at Telkom Bayside today was really good. They seemed to have really stepped up their game there, with a whole new ticket system and as you come in the door, and the staff are fantastic. What a great group of people working there: So friendly and helpful. Well done Telkom!

I have called here 5 times. No answer. For a communications company they fail on so many levels. Their advise/information is ever changing and never consistent. Poor training. please note we are currently having high call volumes. Ridiculous. And I should not mention their options send you to the wrong department more often than not!!!! Seriously a joke.

My son took out a contract in 2018, last year he ran to get a bus and his phone fell from his pocket and the screen was cracked. We went to telkom bayside in September 2019 to take the phone in cause he has insurance that are suppose to cover everything. We havent heard any thing from their side. The 20th December we went back that was the 3rd time. We received a message to say he has to pay a R500 fee to fix his phone, what about the insurance arent they supposed to cover everything. I think in some cases we have to put our lawyers to get what we want.

I can understand why Telkom is so poorly regarded and you might want to rethink the moniker leading technology because how hard can it be to switch off. 5 weeks nightmare. I have enough useless reference numbers to satisfy Nemo in the Matrix....shocking service by technical staff.

Every now and then you get a surprise with service delivery, I drove to 6 different Telkom direct stores before one of the people behind the counter offered to help me by calling when a product was in stock. All the others simply shook their heads and said sorry, also unwilling to check stock in another branch even though I know they are able to do this.The worst part of this is that they dont have a landline you can call to check (this I find strange since they are a fixed line operator) however it was refreshing to be helped AT LAST!

Besides all the network issues Telkom has been having in the area, the lady who helped me were arrogant and dismissive. Ended up leaving without having the issue resolved. Maybe time to change networks again. Noticed that with a R99 Free Me Bundle, you now only receive 800MB of data where we normally got 1GB, all the while struggling to connect to their network. If I could give zero starts I would . . .

I was being double debited on my account for a cellphone which I did not have. The first person that helped me, did not have a clue as to what to do. . The second person wasnt too keen to help, as she was on her way to lunch. The first person then walked away from me and went to assist another customer. I eventually asked very loudly if there was anyone who could help me to sort out my account. Luckily the guy whom I knew would be able to help, just walked back in from his lunch break. He assisted me and promised he would sort out the account as it was a special case. I returned a cellphone & cancelled the contract due to poor service & not what I wanted and they received the cellphone, but did not cancel the debit order.

The service isnt as bad as everyone says it is, Maybe it was just this time but, I was there on a Sunday. Lets be real no one wants to work on a Sunday, and they were rather helpful. Maybe a bit slow but otherwise not too bad. They just never answer the phone.

Holy Moly! This branch ALWAYS has about 5 people chilling in the back room and 2 or 3 people working in front. Or someone walks out on lunch, or the one is waiting for another client to come back!! ALWAYS an incredibly long wait🙄😞

The sales staff were excellent. I was in a queue and I was 104 in the queue which wasnt moving because there was only one lady behind the counter. Eventually I stepped out of line just to ask one of the sales staff if they had the Samsung Note9 in stock and that I was cash. Things moved alot quicker after that. Waiting in long ques is hell but once you got the correct person to help it was a pleasure. Also just want to add that Telkom was R3000.00 cheaper than MTN for the Note9.

Absolutely disgusting service. Cancelled my land line in December 2017 at this branch , went in and waited in the ridiculously long queue to avoid issues with the cancellation. This did not help one bit as in January 2019 I get a sms stating that I have been handed over for non payment ......long story short is that this company ( if you can call it that ) is the most inefficient incompetent unhelpful that I have ever come across in my life . They take your money every month and give little to no service. This particular branch has not been at all helpful and never follow up on issues......

Do not ever bother trying to call the store. Not once in the times of trying have they ever answered. Going into the store is just as bad. 2-3 people working shift on a busy weekend with no Express queue. I stood in the queue for 45mins to have them answer 1 question (How long is the warranty on your contract phones) The answer is 1 year, even on phones which come with a 2 year manufacturers warranty. You are better off buying phones with a credit card from online shops or going with other providers. Telkom is useless, always.

Dear Telekom, Im very disappointed on the service I got recently, I came to do the SIM swap on the 04th of October 2018 - 10:40AM to prevent a friend who is using its without my concerned and the next day the friend came to you and required a SIM swap without an identification, without my present and you still made again a SIM Swap without my concerned. So, you guys have decided helping a lot of criminal in the same menner to abuse others? I really regret this kind of services... On the same day I made the SIM swap, I forgot to collected my Passport from your Agent, I came back the next day the passport is no way to be find, I have required if possible to play back the CCTV for the particular time, on my big surprise, the manner said the CCTV was off on that day: do you know what you make me going through right now without having a passport? And, do you know how much cost a Congolese Passport, how to get it and how the Visa process is...? I really regret your services ###
