Always wanted to drive a Cobra. These guys made it possible. Great day outing. They gave us nice ideas of which scenic routes to take and which places to stop to eat. Great experience from start to finish

One of the highlights of my trip in Cape Town. I wanted to try something completely different to explore the Cape Peninsula so I rented an AC Cobra for the day which is a V8 monster!It was such a cool way to experience the scenery. A convertible makes it even more enjoyable.I started in Bo-Kaap and made my journey to Athlone to try a Gatsby for the first time which is so delicious.I then headed over to Muizenberg Beach to look at the colorful houses/huts on the beach.I made my way over to Simons Town to look at the penguin colony on boulders beach.The next stop was quite far away where I headed to both the Cape Point and the Cape Of Good Hope (Most South Western point of the African continent).On my way back I stopped briefly at Hout Bay and then enjoyed a scenic drive on Chapmans Peak which made hiring this car the best option to experience this very scenic route.If you plan on doing a Cape Peninsula trip, hire your own vehicle and explore freely. I loved it!

During our visit to Cape Town my boyfriend and I took the Cobra out for a ride - it is a MUST when you are in CPT!! V8 motor with 260ps was real fun. We took a scenic drive and really enjoyed the day with this beauty. Be aware to wear something to protect yourself from the sun since you will be driving 8 hours with a convertible :) AMAZING experience especially for car lovers like us. Online reservation worked perfectly fine & the cars are in good shape. The guys who manage the place are also very friendly and explain everything to you - if you need a route they are happy to provide you one :) definitely to recommend!!

The Cape Town Cobra experience was my absolute favourite part of my 10 day South Africa adventure. We were greeted by Matt and David who are massive car junkies who allow us to take their babies out for the day. My girlfriend had never seen a Cobra before and as we arrived at the garage she was surrounded by them. She quickly understood the appeal! Matt and David make it perfectly clear that you are allowed to make up your own route and do your own thing but have some great suggestions for you if you’d like them. We drive through stunning Chapman’s Peak down to Cape Point and the Cape Of Good Hope, back up through charming seaside towns and visited a vineyard. We turned heads the whole way and were quite admired at every traffic light. It was a dream come true to drive the Cobra and I can’t think of a better place to have done it or a better company to have worked with. Matt and David, THANK YOU!!

My Cobra Experience was even more toxic than the bite, and the agony was prolonged. Theyre very happy to swallow your money a week before your scheduled ride, but ignored refund requests when their service was not delivered. Beware! These Cobras are dangerous, usually fatal.

Absolutely unreal experience! Could not recommend enough to anyone staying in cape town! Beautiful cars and picturesque coastal drives make you feel as if your in a movie. The guys there operating cobra experience are very helpful and you can tell instantly that they have a real passion for what they do! Very cool experience for a day: You have the V8 roaring beneath you, you have the great weather of Cape Town around you and you drive past Chapmans Peak on the Coastline with the stunning views of the sea and the narrow, rocky road in front of you. You cant buy happiness, but you can rent a Cobra for a day. And thats pretty close ;)

The team at Cobra Experience were great to deal with and couldn’t have been more helpful on the day.My wife and I had the black and silver cobra for the day which sounded amazing and turned heads everywhere it went. I’d recommend the experience to anyone who loves cars!

Amazing and memorable experience! The cars are beautiful and fun to drive and the scenery along the coastal mountain roads is gorgeous. Plus the price is very reasonable!It would have been fun to try driving a right hand drive car with manual transmission (the Cobras are automatic transmission) but it was still super fun and it may have been a lot to manage mentally driving on the opposite site of the road and shifting with left hand all at once.Matt was also able to squeeze me in last minute for a 4 hour rental.Highly recommend this activity when in South Africa!

What an amazing once in a lifetime experience. The cars are beautiful powerful litlle marvels of engineering that are guranteed to put a smile on the face of anyone behind the wheel. Brad was super fiendly and very helpful. Great customer service. Very highly recommended!

A fantastic and fun experience. 10/10 highly recommend. Dont been concerned about the laid back booking process, its all good & thats how life is in cape town. If kIts a windy day take a coat & hat. If its another beautiful hot sunny day put plenty of sun cream on & enjoy yourselves.In one word, Fantastic

EDIT:After writing this review they finally got back to me and I was given a refund for the transportation I didn’t receive, however this doesn’t change the way it went down still.I was really looking forward to this, the cobra is one of my favourite cars so was a bucket list item for me, I made a mistake with the initial booking and they were very accomodating which I was pleased aboutI had paid extra for return transportation to our hotel however was informed at short notice there had been a mistake and this wasnt available for the evening drives, we got an uber to the location and the car was waiting we were informed theyd give us an extra hour with the car as an apology for the mix upThe car itself does have a few issues but drove fine (as to be expected with a rental) and the coastal route was incredible (unfortunately it was pretty busy at this time of day but I enjoyed it)As we had limited mileage we didnt end up using the extra hour anyway so returned the car at the original time, on arrival we dropped off the car and keys and tried to tie on to the wifi to arrange an Uber however it said it was not working, the sun was starting to set so we had to walk around an unfamiliar area in a hurry to find somewhere we could get transport from. This ruined the experience especially when we were followed for a block by a man yelling profanity at us as we wouldnt give him cash.When I contacted the company about this as I wasnt happy with being left to figure it ourselves and wanted to know about a refund for the additional money wed paid for our transfers that we didnt get the communication stopped, I received one message saying hed come in to sort it out but nothing since, i sent further emails but still nothingA great experience ruined by bad service

A recent trip to the motherland wad made even more spectacular cruising around in a hired cobra car. Definitely the nicest car to drive at the coast and the service was equally matched.
