The car rental prices are excellent and the car was in a great condition.The service personnel on the other hand was extremely rude to not only myself, but also to the three other customers in the center at the time I collected my vehicle, to the point where the one gentleman left the building without the vehicle he booked out of frustration.The center is noisy and uncomfortably warm inside, even though it was a cool day outside.

My flight was at 7 am. Arrive at BP, they are closed - only open at 7 am. Return the car, nobody to receive the car. I hope they dont charge me for re-fueling because I had no choice and no warning about this situation. I clearly gave them all my flight details. Lets see what they take from my account?????

Advertised a Toyota Urban cruiser auto booked online when we arrived to collect to our disappointment they dont have the car and cant give us another similar range in auto.Really saddened by this bad service we received today.

Rude and judgemental staff. Car is not gone through before renting, deposits are not paid back for weeks after renting. Customer service is non-existent.

After getting a flat tire they charged me for the tire (fair) then R6500 for a tow truck to fetch the car- waited 6 hours for someone to arrive. I asked them why they didnt just bring a spare tire to which they replied: we didn’t have in stock?!Anyway, they proceeded to charge my credit card beyond the blocked amount which I didnt know was even possible or legal.

Prebooked vehicle a week in advance...no vehicles available when flight arrives. Rest of business day messed up.

I returned the car with a full tank of fuel and was then sent an invoice for refuelling cost worth 15 Litres of fuel. This is literally impossible and unfortunately I didn’t think I would be scammed so didn’t keep the receipt when i refuelled. They are taking advantage of already having my credit card details to make this charge. I actually cannot believe it. So always make sure to keep the receipt when you refuel and be prepared to contest fraud. It’s corporate robbery.

It is impossible to have one person paying and another as the driver. The other person gets loaded as an additional driver AT A COST!! Very poor policy.

Utterly disappointing service from discourteous staff. Both staff in duty at this office treated me and my family with utmost disrespect. Upon querying why our contract did not included waivers selected online, the staff became defensive and accusatory. They backed watched other up and raised their voices at us. I suggest you seek rental from any one of the surrounding agencies.

We received super poor service. We waited for morethan 45 minutes to get our rented car and my wife and kids had to be sitting outside by the door without any update of when the car will be available. We were told that the car will be here in 10 minutes 3 times. Improve your service. Do not allow more bookings than what you have available. Only bite what you can chew. I hope this changes soon. We often use Bidvest Car Rental and the service is excellent, you can pick up and drop at any time of the day. They provide you with a checklist of the state of the vehicle so you can refer back to that when you return the vehicle.

A short note of appreciation towards the Staff member at the Front desk - Sergio, Sunday afternoon 2 Feb, who managed to secure a car for me (without a prior booking (wont make that mistake again...😂), despite a super busy Area full of customers, he managed to make everyone feel attended to and managed the pressure very, very well. A great asset to the team.Overall experience renting / returning car today to Bidvest CT 10/10.

ALERT! This place is a FRAUD!!! I had a new credit card, which I ONLY used on Bidvest Cape Town airport to rent a car. On 9th of September someone in South Africa booked using my credit card, flight with Mango Airlines and Hotel booking. In total almost 300€ or almost 6000 Rands.Unacceptable that a company like this, providing services to tourists, are not protecting the Data and allowing third parties to access our cards numbers.

Really enjoyed dealing with Bidvest Car Rental in CT airport. The collection and checking of the vehicle was very quick and efficient, previously existed small defects were honestly pointed out and recordered by the Bidvest employee. I was given free upgrade from Audi A3 to the luxury A4, it only had 5000km on the clock and was immaculate, loved driving it. Return was very easy and only took few minutes. Will definitely rent from them again.

The service of Bidvest is absolutely great. Windshield was broken and we got a new car immediately. Fine was invoiced after 1,5 years via an automated process but after some e-mails they credited the money immediately.

They are the best. If something is not right, they make it right. Our creditcard was declining, so they took us back to our appartement to pick up another credit card. The guy that was driving with us eventually told us about fun things to do in the neighbourhood. Surely worth more than 5 stars!!!

Its Sunday evening. There are huge queues here. The people behind the counters remind me of the old Home Affairs. They all seem to be wearing lead boots. They walk at the pace of the nurses at Groote Schuur clinic. Disgusting for a private company. Avoid if you can

The staff were professional and provided a good service, though process (like with many other rental companies) is cumbersome. A bit disappointing that mid-level cars (we had an Audi A3) dont come with satnav as standard. In this day and age, a car without satnav, especially for an airport rental (where customers are likely to be holiday visitors), doesnt make sense. We were advised to head back to the airport to get a data SIM for using Google maps - good advice, as data charges (were from UK) is otherwise extortionate!

Wonderful experience, right from pick up to return of the car was so smooth. Car Audi A3 was in excellent condition, had no issues in driving it.

Bidvest has hidden charges which are not told upfront to the customer during rental itself. While the car is not bad, the after-rental invoicing sucks, and all the return fees are charged without you knowing. You are better off cancelling the card so that Bidvest does not sneakily perform charges to you.

Siso was very friendly and professional. We booked a very basic little car but was upgraded with no extra charge to us. The whole booking went very smoothly. I recommend them.

There was no problems with the booking nor in the return of the vehicle, everything was checked very quickly and we went on our way.I was pleased that we were offered a choice of vehicle within the vehicle class we had chosen, as we could then choose something different to what we usually drive around in back home.Being the first time I had directly rented a vehicle myself, I was impressed with the whole experience, including the booking process a couple of months earlier, and i found the rates to be okay. I am sure car rental is not cheaper no matter where one goes, but the vehicle and the service received at Bidvest Car Rental Cape Town Intl were all great.

Went here to assist friends from Netherlands. We spend about 2 hours here. Not great after a long flight and considering they did pre order everything. The car seats was not available and took forever for staff to actually get them the seats. Would be great if thet get it right first time

Everything was great until they charged us R120 to fill up a tank that we filled ten minutes before we turned the car in.

Well run car hire operation who were cognizant that my flight was delayed for 2 hours,, the team leader CJ was very good and accommodating within reason while the pre-inspection guy Faashier was quite diligent in pointing out any paint and wheel imperfections prior to handover. It was not indicated that we needed a passport to accompany our SA ID card and international drivers licence when we booked online. Not to mention the condescending tone we encountered while being helped at the counter.

Friendly staff who assist you well, although not always promptly.Please check the registration of the vehicle being rented, I was issued with one which had a GP plate and hijackers tend to target people without a WP plate.

We had a booking with a GPS included. We got a mobile GPS - that was not a problem. But it was more than 3 years old! We had a lot of problems finding our way with this GPS! After the rental we were asked to fill out the online feedback form to adress this issue. 6 weeks later we were told that the GPS was bought in 2017. This is a lie! Im shocked! The rental itself was good but such a brush lie is unacceptable! Never ever Bidvest again!

Professional service

The staff was very professional and friendly. The line up was not long at all. Everything was ready for us after travelling 37 hours from Canada. We also were upgrade from Audit A4 to a Mercedes C180 which we had for 47 days during Xmas. We I will 100% rent from Bidvest at CPT again.

You have a gentleman called Ronnie working for you. He is the sweetest and kindest person ever. A TRUE GENTLEMAN. When I got the car he helped me to inspect it and found many other little scratches.When I returned it, I parked at the wrong place (receiving). The signage is very deceiving. He drove me to the right spot, helped me get my bags out and then pushed my trolley all the way to the offices where he pointed me towards the walkway underneath the street to go to flight departures.Please take very good care of your star employee. He is a gem.

We rented from Bidvest for three weeks in November. We had a minor incident with the car after the first day and needed to get another one. BIdvest dealt with the incident and exchange of vehicle quickly and professionally. They also reversed an administration fee that was charged to us but we were not aware of. We would definitely rent from Bidvest again!
