What a pleasant experience - I tend to avoid traffic departments and any government instances BUT today Brackenfell traffic department shined bright - with VERY friendly staff, and very organised systems - the place looks neat and they sanitise everywhere - thanks everyone at the station for being the difference! keep up the great work.

Friendly service but slooooooow we spent about 1.5 hours being number 8 in the queue in a weekday morning and you can only do drivers not vehicle discs here

Walked in 2.30 and was smooth sailing. Friendly staff and helpful, did not expect my renewal process to go so fast.

Staff was friendly and efficient. The facilitator was friendly as he inspected my vehicle. Would recommend Brackenfell for your vehicles roadworthy centre opposed to goodwood who sent me back and and forth and staff not even greeting back.

Went to renew drivers license. Got there at 6.15. 2nd in queue. Done and dusted by 8.35 am. They open at 8 am and are very efficient. Queue had got quite long by 7.15. By time I came out there must of been around 40 to 50 people.,Very helpful throughout.

I stood in the queue for 45 minutes and when I finally got to the front they refused to help me because I didnt have a pen. Nobody said I needed a pen, its not shown anywhere.Take a pen! Three to be safe...😤

The traffic official who was supposed to assist me, was rude to say the least. Needless to say I did not acquire what I went there for

Here one can get a date for license quicker than in other traffic departments.

I renewed my drivers licence there about two months ago, and to my surprise it went very quick considering the line of people that was outside. I was told I will get a call in 6 weeks to come my card.It has now been longer than 6 weeks and no call. What frustrated me was that I called the number that was listed on Google maps, to my annoyance the number is not working ( the number I have dialed does not exist).I went there last week and was told the system has crashed.So from a pleasant surprise to a very frustrating experience

The only pleasant part of the whole experience there was Mrs Jantjies who did my eye test and fingerprints, who knows what it means to go the extra mile and try and make the publics experience of a drawn-out, archaic process as pleasant as possible. Unfortunately the rest of my time there trying to get my drivers license renewed was dismal but a clear indication of how most government departments are run.

Drivers license renewal did not take as long as expected 45 minutes. Staff very helpful

Stood in queue outside in wind & cold for 2 & 1/2 hours, my dealings once inside took about 30 minutes to finish - that part was efficient - ladies at front desks were vrry friendly & helpful.

Lines were long but it went quicker than I expected. Friendly staff.

Fast efficient staff..very clean office. All Covid19 regulations and requirements adhered to

Licence renewal experience. In and out in 90 minutes . This included Queing, running over the road for fotos, running back for a utility bill with my name on it, taking the eye test and paying R140 for the privilege of having a new licence. Ps. Have to pay extra R40 as my licence expired during lockdown. Travesty. Not BTD fault as they are tasked with this daylight robbery. 2.5 million expired fees later...........R100 more million fleeced off citizens. Instead of providing a service.

This department needs training. They are grossly weak with regards to customer service. They have an attitude that stinks. It stems from management. The bare minimum seems to be the order of the day. I asked for my status to be checked, the fat cashier with glasses took my Id and returned it within 2 seconds claiming to have checked .

Very organized traffic department, on Saturdays the ques are a bit long but you wont wait for longer than an hour for learner license bookings. From June 2021 booking for a learner license date takes about 1 month, I guess its because its mid-year.

Some of the personel needs to be taught what work ethic is. Telling a customer to better get a new i.d or not being issued a license is unethical and just plain rude. She was more interested in discussing her bosses with her colleagues than treating the customers politely. But it also could be that some traffic and police officials sat on the same stick to warrant this attitude

They dont even deserve the 1 star. Absolutely pathetic. The lack of communication is astounding. The supervisor starting arguments with people in the que. Very arrogant woman that. Worst service Ive come across.... Communicating what is needed to be helped is very important as I have been there twice and both times they neglected to tell me what I need. I wasted an entire day standing there waiting to be helped, just to be shown away arrogantly due to my paperwork not being in order.

The eye test machine is old and you get failed for eye sight. Rather do eye test at optometrists beforehand

Communication is very bad. Service is very bad and they dont load the roadworthy on the system although you have paid and they say they have. Phone doesnt work.

I went to Brackenfell Traffic Department on Sunday 17 January 2021 to renew my Drivers License and what a pleasant hassle free experience it was.Its a great service to the public opening on a Sunday.THANKS.

My son went for his learners test by 8am he was in the line waiting he was told to book again as tbey called his name 3 times. Everyone still needed to go in why was he told to leave???? This is a money making scheme. Now his work depends on this!!! I think someone needs to see to this problem😡😡😡

Pathetic! Stood in a queue for 3hours then the man infront was turned away for not having his own pen. Then when I got to the till I was told they do not renew car licenses there. Someone should be appointed to inform clients of this info and not make them wait till they get inside. Ps the supervisor is the most rude and arrogant person Ive seen. This is just from seeing how she speaks to other client.

Worst experience ever. Two days standing in this line, just to hear that because my ID is nearly 25yrs old, and starting to expose, they can not assist in renewing my drivers license. What I dont understand, is that the new ID photos, the old drivers licence and old ID depicts the same person at different ages. You are pathetic in your service. Kindly supply me with the relevant regulations where it says that based on that you cannot assist me!!!!

The CoCT call centre tells you what to bring for the licence renewal process. What they dont tell you is... you may stand in a queue for an hour but not accompany your spouse to the last part of renewal process, ALSO bring your own pen and desk to write on.... poor show... #tax payer ...just saying.

The Covid situation is causing long customer queues which can be somewhat irritating but in the process they adhere to good safety protocol. Once you are in things go fast.

Theyre not very informative about the regulations of the place

Lady Cashier did not give my wife change after she paid when finshed with eye test and coviently forgot about it and spent more time talking about temporary licences to confuse my wife so she would forget about the change my wife realised this when we got home and had to make another trip to licences dept where they had to check the cameras before giving back her money.
