The sales side of Auric Auto are great to deal with but find somewhere else to get your BMW serviced. On a recent visit with my vehicle they spent over R12000 without any consent on my side. When I refused to pay I was escorted to the dealer principals office (Matthew James) for a discussion. It was very clear that I wasnt getting my keys back without presenting my credit card. In fact they threatened to undo the repair if I didnt pay, even though they accepted their breakdown of communication as the source of the problem. They didnt need to worry about undoing it as the fix that they outsourced didnt solve the problem anyway. After 4 weeks of haggling theres no sign of an apology or refund - just excuses. Very disappointing for one of the top vehicle brands.After writing this review I did receive a full refund into my account, with no explanation or discussion.

Hi. Not great. The lady who assisted me was good but the out come wasnt. Cant seem to understand why a oil service on my X3 M Sport 2013 is so much. Its just a filter and oil change. My previous service for the same thing costed on special, I stand corrected, R1350. Nows it between R2000 and R2500. Makes absolutely no since. I want to keep my service records WITH BMW.Looks like I will have to find a alternate now.

If you walk into this dealership and you are approached by a guy named Chad, run out the door! he is the worst salesman on the planet. If you are brave enough to even talk to him make sure you record everything he says because his go to, when he has to deliver on his one hundred promises is... I NEVER SAID THAT! and do not pay him a holding deposit! he will make you jump through hoops when it is time to refund it to you.This is my third car with BMW and my first experience with Auric Auto. After dealing with SMG Century City and being used their exceptional service, I was delusional enough to think that this was the norm for the BMW customer service but Chad showed me flames.Went to pick up a car only to find out all Chad did was have the car washed, The car was not even registered!!!! The car still had stickers which i had asked to be removed. Upon driving out of the dealership the cars service lights came on!!! Chad did not even check if the car needed to be serviced before selling it! The car was full of scratches which Chad promised were gonna be all gone when time came to pick up the car. When confronted with this, he denied ever uttering those words.Thank you a million times to Brendon Dlamini for being so attentive and kind and cleaning up Chads mess. If we had dealt with Mr Dlamini from the beginning this would have been a great experience.The only reason i will ever set foot into this dealership again, is if i got lost on my way to SMG. Worst way to start the year.

Claremont Auric Auto: While having my 4 series serviced, despite removing most of my valuables, they still stole coins from my ashtray, pens and my medicated eyedrops. This is totally unacceptable to happen in any car dealership especially BMW! When i complained to the Head of Services he was totally unsympathetic, unprofessional and i will certainly never ever step foot inside that dealership again. This is after he even admitted that there had been 3 cases of theft reported that week!!!Clearly these guys do not care much for customer service or reputation

73000kms on the clock and 3 months out of my 5 year motor plan. From going in for a timing belt(R16000) the next day it was the solenoids(R6000), the next day it was the cover for the turbo(R5000), then they couldn’t get the timing right, a week later I get a delightful call again that this time an oil valve(R10000) had gone. After contacting BMW South Africa, I had three calls promised to be returned, a promise that a senior technician will be sent to the Ben hope to check I wasn’t just paying for a long expedition of finding the actual fault. Needless to say, over a week in the workshop and a total bill of R42 000(some was fought for and reduced) The answer BMW was ....... cars are a mechanical device and that’s why they offer extended maintenance plans. Horrified at the attitudes, poor service and bottom line poor quality of a car with low mileage. on principle I’ll never buy another BMW, poor quality, poor customer care and lack of customer care from BMW head office.

Usually have good service from this dealership but this experience has been shocking. Tire sensor warning led to me having to replace both front tyres. Gave the go ahead to the service consultant Thursday lunchtime and was told the tyres would be at the dealership Friday morning. Had to phone Friday lunchtime to find out what was going on as I hadnt heard a word. Now told the tyres are only going to be here on Monday. I suspect they were never ordered yesterday. When I asked for a courtesy car I was told none was available. When I asked what I am supposed to do for transport over the weekend I was told there was nothing they could do to help. Very disappointing BMW.....I thought a one million plus rand car bought better service.....Update - Just went to pick up my car finally. Not a word about any of the inconvenience - not even an acknowledgement of the extremely poor service. Seems you guys missed your chance to make ammends...

Horrendous after sales service. We used to be a long standing client of BMW however have moved over to Porsche. The service is chalk and cheese relative to how we were treated by Auroc Auto. We had two X5s through Auric Auto and have always had it serviced on time with this dealership. That was until both cars started developing problems. The latest issues involved work that was first quoted at 90k. After complaining this was reduced. I would caution massively against buying a BMW. Don’t even think about owning one outside of a motorplan. They will screw you for every penny. Needless to say we drove our X5 into the shop with a rough idle. The car left on the back of a tow truck due to the fact that the technicians had no idea how to put it back to its original state.We declined their quote as it’s was pure madness and daylight theft. They car has now been sold for scrap.We have just bought our third Porsche Cayenne. Never again will we go bear this dealership or it’s sister Auto Atlantic as the service was under handed and we feel like we were being ripped off. Never mind the fact that we had to call 3 times for updates on the vehicle.Never again.

Yesterday auric autos showroom was converted into a restaurant when a local insurance broker - phocor besure had a thank you dinner for about 400 of their clients.Tables were set amongst and around the latest BMW and mini coopers which added a fantastic flavour to the event.As a makeshift venue it had excellent ambience.

When you complain to the principal, management and customer service department you get stone walled. Dont even have decency to reply. Zero leadership. I only write reviews to praise companies/business but I am so disappointed by the poor service received by Auric Auto that I am writing this in hopes of saving someone else the hassle of taking their car there. I have taken my car for a service at SMG at Canal Walk and Tyger Valley and both these places are way better options. The level of service at Auric Auto is shocking, the staffs math level to work out a simple quote is laughable and their responsiveness to customer queries is cowardly. I would rate Auric Auto in my bottom three of all service providers I have ever dealt with together with a certain mobile network provider and gym group.

If I could give them a minus I would. They are the worst dealership around. I literally struggled for over a month to get them to repair a water jet. I had to escalate it to BMWSA just to get a response from this dealership. They finally agree to fix the water leak (as a gesture of goodwill). I get my car back after 4 days (no courtesy vehicle given) and then my xenon light starts fogging up. I report this to them, they admit that it wasnt like this when it came in and then tell me i need to take it up with sales. I would never recommend anyone to come to your dealership.

Staff Were unclear on certain things when it comes to dropping off working class clients. I am an assistant teacher/facilitator at a Autistic/Remedial school in Plumstead. I arrived at 7am as Ive arranged with the consultant to be dropped at my work place before 7:30, but I was told that she will find out and get back to me asap or email me. Anyways to make a long story short. I eventually decided to rather go to work then to wait for a confirmation from the consultants or the drivers Coordinator of YES Or NO SIR, we wont be able to drop you at work before 7:30. So I left, got to work at 7:20 which took me 12mins to get to work and got approval from my H.O.D to drop my car at Auric Auto Clairmont as long as Im back before at because My Class is writing their Science paper from 8-9:30. To my Suprise, I came to learn fast that even in a Massive Company like this there was nobody prepared to go the extra mile for a client when he or she basically pleas for help an assistant to just be dropped at work before a certain time. Please dont misunderstand me as a difficult customer, but as an Educator that had to be before 8am at work because of school Exams and that I had to sign a written warning for arriving at 8:07.Thanks.

Terrible customer service and workmanship. I took my car to them three times in 2017. The first time for an oil leak, a few months later encountered a new problem this time they changed the regulator but that did not fix the problem and I had to take it back. They said it was the spark plugs - so why did they change the regulator the second time and why didnt they fix the spark plugs then ? A small fortune later, I find out after taking my car to a new place that the car has an oil leak which is causing all the other problems. I paid them THREE TIMES to fix my car and now I have to pay someone else for something I thought I had fixed in 2017. Absolutely shocking service and rip off. Do not trust them at all.
