I made the service booking online and I was called on 3 different occasions by 3 different ladies asking me for the same information (2 of those calls after I filled out a form with all my details and emailed back to them earlier that day). I took the car in and I was assisted by Wendy. Wendys customer service is lacking to say the least. She was very blunt, bordering on being outright rude when we had a discussion over my service plan (which she apparently never heard of).Fast forward to today, I got notified via SMS early morning that the technician is busy working on my car. Just before lunch I tried honing Wendy to find out more or less what time I can expect to fetch my car as I need to plan around this with work and so on. Wendy was not available. I phoned a bunch more time and each time Wendy was either out on lunch, busy with clients or not available. I left messages and she just never got back to me. Eventually at 5 she phones and asks if I am still fetching my vehicle today, pretending like she had notified me that it was ready.On the way home from fetching my car, I noticed that there was buff tape on the back windscreen. This seemed weird as I could not imagine why there would be buff tape used during a service... When I got home I saw that it looked like the technician had broken open the rear center brake light and had used grey silicone to fix it in place and had used the buff tape to keep it there until the silicone dried. Also, next to the light cover, they had nicked the paint down to the metal. Wendy did not show this to me when I collected my car or discussed them damaging anything with me.A person expects these people to be on top of things as they are an actual Ford dealership.Horrible service, rather go somewhere else

Had a great experience with the staff when I popped in to check servicing availability and with their parts department, all very friendly and helpful.Checked in the bakkie today, another excellent experience checking in.I received a phone call each time items that were out of the service plan were found and advised on.Great service and friendly staff.

Absolutely horrible service... I phoned in to get my radio recoded. I spoke to Wendy first who said shed send me a booking form which apparently takes two weeks to do. In these two weeks I phoned FIVE times to try and get that email. Eventually I was handed over to Layla who was a lot more helpful and sent me the email while I was still on the phone with her.Fast forward to Monday when my vehicle was booked. I got there at 9am and they told me it would take an hour to an hour and a half to RECODE MY RADIO. This seemed weird to me, but I didnt argue. I sat and waited for an hour and a half as I had no transport to get back to the office (yes, I was still on the clock). After this hour and a half passed, I went to Abby who had helped me with booking in the vehicle and she told me that THEY HAVENT EVEN STARTED with my vehicle and its gonna take ANOTHER hour. To recode my radio?? Seriously?? Im pretty sure it wont even take 20 minutes to do this? I even told them when I booked in the car that morning that I was on the clock and that it wouldve been greatly appreciated to push it to be done quicker as I had other meetings and appointments in Town at 11.No decency to even come to me either to tell me that it wouldve taken longer so I could make a plan on getting a lift back to the office to get another car to go to my appointments.With this information, I called my manager to let her know what was happening and she called in to find out why this was happening. From there (surprise, surprise) it took the 20 minutes, and not an hour like they said.I do not recommend going to this dealership, because the customer service just isnt on par.

Poor service today because the person that assisted me previously was not in the office. Therefore one staff (was helpful) had to be a messenger I think to the Manager/supervisor, where the messenger had to go up and down(about 5 times) . Instead of the Supervisor/Manager coming out of the glass office in which I could see him clearly and assisted me with the list of questions he had to send the messenger.All to find out not all information was provided to me at first, therefore they can not assist me. Poor service when you not going to buy a car at Ford N1 city.

Worst service I have ever received. It took me 3 days of phoning the service department to be able to book my car in. When holding for the service department I must have had my call cancelled at least 8 times. I complained to Sandile Nkadi, he eventually called me back and took down my details, he promised to call me back with a date for the service...he never did. Eventually after more threats I got through to Sharon, she gave me the best news I had all day that my cars service plan had expired. I will gladly take my car elsewhere. By the way the booking online option has a script error so that was an impossibility aswell. Ford N1 city has wasted multiple hours of my time and Im glad yo be rid of them. AVOID THIS BUSINESS, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Horrible service I was greeted by automated voice recording and pressed one for the service centre and got forward to Wendy. Then Cheney. Then to someone that didn’t even tell me who they are. Then back to Wendy who took me to someone else who forward me to another line until it cut off after 3 minutes!!! So I called back and Cheney ended up picking up the call and I told her I just smoke to her minutes prior and I am not interested in being forward to Wendy then Abby then back to her and more people and she apologised and told me the booking stuff are on lunch. How does an entire team go on lunch at the same time ? Ended up making the booking online. Which based on the website not even sending me confirmation did not go through.

Really, really poor service. Previously Id been using Kelfords in Somerset West, but have moved since and gave them a try. Big mistake.In future, Ill be driving back to Kelfords for the great, friendly and efficient level of service Ive become accustomed to.

I stop at dealership as I just wanted a technician to assist me with my window washer as I am not living in Capetown but in Hesequa district. Lady at workshop reception was very friendly and assisted me by going to the back to ask for technician. However she came back with a answer. It is your window washer motor, vehicle must be booked in. It is not the motor, as nobody did the effort just to come and have a look, or just came to ask me what is happening when I try to clean my window. My battery was flat, computer might have disconnected the function.or, maybe there is a leaking pipe. I used to work for Ford dealerships in Pretoria, Global Menlyn, Mc Carthy Silverlakes, and service centre would sent a technical person to the car, just to see if it is a small thing they can quickly fix. Go the extra mile, isnt it what client service is all about ?

Went for service on Friday 23 April.Sat in reception for 4 hours as no courtesy transport anymore to take me home.I had been advised to arrive early so the car would be processed straight away. The coffee machine had been taken away and there were no vending machines.Noone offered me a cup of tea etc.Got home and was phoned 2 hours later to say we are so sorry.The technician does not know how it happened but we did not service your vehicle.we serviced a different Ecosport! My log book had been filled in.the staff came through on Monday 26th to collect and service my car. Terrible lack of concern for customers and really bad quality control.

Amateur !! ! How can you be so inefficient?They changed a front left shaft because of a leak. On a Ford Ranger.They DIDNT put oil! Can you believe this.There is a leak, they change a shaft, and dont put oil in the gear box.If there is a leak, oil is missing somewhere.In the gear box... And you dont verify the level?Because I dont trust you, I went to an other garage to check your job.He put his finger in the hole of the gear box... nothing.He started to put oil... He put more than the half of the quantity!The problem is not only Barloworld... It comes from the head too... Ford South Africa. Amateurism, Inefficiency, not serious, no calificated people work there apparently.I thought it was a top brand in the world of cars. Not in SA.Ford is like SA. They believe they are someone importante in the world...But only them believe it.Because They are nothing.

Excellent service from the team, will definitely make use of them in the future. Just a tip, please provide status updates atleast an hour before the time that the vehicle is ready or not in order to plan effectively as calls to the centre can take a while to get through to the service department.

Excellent service received from Khanya & Nandipha at this dealership, after being treated like a piece of rubbish at another branch, Khanya changed my perspective and I received the ultimate customer experience when purchasing a vehicle from her, I was kept up to date all the time and treated like royalty. Nandipha was very accommodating with the vehicle finance and it was the fastest process I have ever experienced. Thumbs up and keep up the great work. So car was in for 2 weeks, thats right 2 weeks for service and took it there specifically for aircon to be fixed, has a supposed aircon tech on site.Got the car, 10km in aircon stops working again, I let them know immediately, after I specifically asked 5times if the aircon issue was sorted.Over R20k later I might add... Drove to friend, oil light warning light goes on, and sounds like the engine is gasping for air...Take the car back, another week has gone by, no update, no communication totally ignored today after tried phoning them, manager does not even have te balls to respond... going for 1 Month no without a car! 1 f’ing month.No hire car, no compensation, niks, nada. Whats going on

The worst service I have ever experienced from a car dealership. I do not recommend buying a used car from Ford N1 City. It is a mission to test drive a car because the petrol station that they have an account with always seems to be out of petrol. They sold me a car of inferior quality. Overspay inside the bonnet and on the passenger side mirror. Paint peeling inside the boot lid and teardrops on the outside handle. Two of the cheapest tires known to man fitted on the vehicle, Autogrip, just to increase profit. Michelin Primacy 3 on the rear and Autogrip on the front. I am in the process of returning it in order to take another vehicle but now they are charging me a large amount more than the advertised price of the vehicle to compensate for a shortfall. A shortfall which has come about due to the fact that they have sold me an inferior vehicle. Ford N1 City is responsible for this money, not me. There has been little to no transparency regarding this entire process. You give Ford a bad name!

Barloworld Ford N1 City is a special dealership. Booked in our Ranger workhorse for a 40000km service. Confirmation received via sms and email. Arrived and was immediately booked in. Taken back to my office, after a cappuccino. Collected all done no hassle. Highly recommended.

29.1.2019I am severely unhappy with the service we are currently receiving from Ford.As you can see below, our Eco sport was serviced in November 2018. During the service we requested to Brendon to look at the lighter adapter as a fuse or something had blown, we noticed a spark when plugging a charger in.Brendon replied and informed us he had to order the part.To date, we have received no feedback!Friday, the 25 Zenda called the franchise again and was informed they will call her back with the price and or what is actually going on after holding the line for what seemed forever.Yesterday, we had to call again as we are not receiving any service! I eventually spoke to Wendy from the service department who informed me she will put me through to Brandon, despite the fact I informed her his line is busy, she responded with, I will put you though anyway, and if he doesn’t pick up I will mail him.Phone rang twice, an she put the phone down.Who was she going to mail?She does not have my contact details, my name, my number, what car we drive nothing!What do I have to do to get a response/part for the problem we are having?13.2.2019 - no feedback14.2.2019 - no feedbackHow long does it take to get a part? Unfortunately cannot give 0 stars. Not a very professional dealership. Took my vehicle in for the 45000km service and to resolve a smoking issue on start up. Was told that a software update resolved my smoking issue(which it did not and ended up having to replace the injectors). Also got my vehicle back with a shudder on the foot brake and was told that my discs was warped by the service manager and would be replaced under warranty(when they did the injectors after Ford H/O requested the vehicle be kept for 3 days) but was given a bill the morning I had the vehicle checked in. Their feedback to the Motor OMBUDS also differs to what was given to me in person and in writing. Amazing how a conversation can be forgotten with the service agent, service manager and CRM all present. Be careful visiting this place. Get everything in writing as they have no honour in their word. Ended up selling the vehicle which was only 3 years old. Funny thing, on the second visit to them I witness a customer coming in to complain and she indicated that her problem was resolved elsewhere which they could not do and the staff seemed not to be bothered. Staff showed no empathy to customer.

I am furious with Ford N1 City. I made a booking for an oil leak repair to my vehicle for Monday 14 October 2019. I made the booking on Thursday 10 October and on Friday 11 October I received a phone call from someone to confirm the booking and get all relevant information from me. After waiting a long time in the queue this morning to check the vehicle in I was told that there was no booking on the system.?????? I showed them the call history on the call that I received from the branch on Friday, but there was no offer for a remedy or even an apology! Never again Ford!!!

I have been servicing my sons car here for the past 5 years (bought at this dealership brand new). For the past 4 years I can give 4 to 5 stars. But for the last service (11/01/2019) they dont even deserve this one star. The service advisor, for his professionalism and friendliness though, deserves 5. Problems: the car came back with two dent/scuff marks on the left front door, clearly caused by a lift or some other vertical post. Before we left, the service advisor took pictures and they agreed to cover the cost for repair (for this 5/5). This morning (12/01/2019) when we opened the boot, we found a tool, as well as unfinished work (they did not replace the cover after replacing a light bulb). The boot was left in disarray. Also, the light that was replaced, is clearly not of the same brightness as the original. So, where is the proper work ethic and quality control, or is this a sign that this workshop is starting to fall apart?

Not a good experience. Could not help me with issues I experienced with a new vehicle I bought there. Had to go to another Ford dealer to resolve my issue. Barloworld Armstrong told me the fuel consumption on the vehicle in question was one thing to sell me a car. All the car specs of the vehicle on Ford website stated the same. After purchase found the vehicle to come significantly short of promise. Fell short by 4km/litre of the minimum stated fuel consumption. Workshop manager plainly stated that the vehicle will never produce those fuel consumption and that sales agent should never have promised that and the specs on Ford website is wrong. I took vehicle to another dealership who quickly fixed the issue. I now at least make minimum fuel consumption when driving in the city and close to max consumption on the open road.

I would like to lodge a complaint due to poor communication from Ford N1 city.I phoned to book my vehicle in for the 5th year service amd spoke to multiple people to get the correct price and day of booking.On the day of the service, I was told at check-in that my vehicle has to stay for two days and the service amount i was given is wrong. I did not plan on my vehicle staying for two days as i was not informed on the phone and that the price differs. I am extremely upset by the lack of communication as I had to make prior travel arrangements for work, family and myself. A complete waste of my time.

Horrible experience with this service station. No one seems to be accountable for the mistakes and irresponsible behaviour here. They switch/swapped my wiper, then started going over the window. They charged me for replacing the cigarette lighter, but didnt replace anything. I had make an appointment to replace it for real. They put the wrong kilo meters on the windscreen sticker, that is supposed to remind on when to go for the next service (it was 15000 kms ahead). They told me its not an issue, and no one was held accountable. When I fetched my car, the sticker was not replaced. These are serious problems, because we dont know about the other mechanical mistakes they could be making. And also charging people and end up not doing the job. Its infuriating

The reason for this 1 rating of the N1 City dealership is I felt they dont want to go the extra mile and any bad employee is the weakest link.I had a problem, I called them for assistance and they would not help. I asked to be transfer to the manager, I was told that his not in and that was just after 16:00 Thursday. I asked then to be transfer to service manager, who was also not available but I the gave the operater my detail and asked for him to call me immediately after he is done with customer but no one called up to today.Ford Halfway does go again the eksta mile, they inform me to come in the next norming, will make a plan to run diagnostic test to see whats the problem. ANDRE then even sorted something else out for me and this all was not even 15 min.My Ford has only 13200 km on and still due for first service in November.Again, N1 City left a bitter tast in my mouth and this I will not refer them for any services to my second bad experience.

Worst service ever. The Service Advisors dont return calls and dont even care about it. I took my car for a gearbox issue that cost me almost 50k. The vehicle was taken to Ford N1 Dec 2018 and its now almost July 2019... Still dont have my car. Ford N1 uses Mayfair gearbox and diff for these jobs. I paid them fully hey. I still dont have my car. So, if you looking for real poor service by all means, try them. They wont dissappoint you with POOR SERVICE! Done with Ford!

Just bad service when you phone and the call gets dropped after 8minutes of waiting for assistance. The guy at the parts department picks up and immediately asks you to hold fine no problem then after almost two minutes how can i help you. I would have liked thank you for holding since im phoning from a cellphone. But i guess thats probably the norm nowadays. Thank you guys for the service.
