We had a really great experience at Bloomsbury Investment Cars, especially for a first time car buyer.Our salesman, Mark, really went above and beyond for us and our transaction was smooth sailing from start to finish.One of the major issues with buying cars as a female, is that many salesman at car dealerships sees a woman and think that we know nothing and could easily take us for a fool simply for the purpose of making a sale, however, Mark treated us as equals and was happy and patient to explain every step of the way and answer every question thrown at him.

Would give it a big fat 0 if I could but unfortunately I cannot. Having a HORRIBLE experience with this company who know less than nothing about bikes and wants to screw their customers over for it. Would not recommend them to my worst enemy

Extremely unprofessional service and would not recommend them to the public. Bad communication or non existing. Excuses with number plate, registration docs all though a week has been given to sort out. Any other dealership would deal with this in a prompt and efficient manner. Paid cash, bike and paperwork still pending and not delivered as promised.

I purchased a kawasaki ZX10-R with 21000km on the odometer, which was advertised with ABS amongst other extras like an immobilizer and Two Brothers exhaust system and I had paid for vehicle registration, inspection, AA Leisure warranty, delivery fees and collection fees and license plates and was told the motorcycle would be ready for collection on the 27th of July 2018.On the 27th of July, mid afternoon, I went to collect my motorcycle and was told by Reinhardt Heydenrych (Smiley) that the vehicle was not ready for collection as they had not had the number plates printed, he then issued me temporary plates so that I could utilize the motorcycle.That late afternoon I discovered that the immobilizer was faulty. I then immediately contacted Reinhardt Heydenrych (Smiley) who informed me that he would send a vehicle to collect my motorcycle.From Friday the 27th to Monday the 30th of July 2018, I was unable to utilize the motorcycle. On Monday the 30th around midday, my motorcycle was collected and transported to Kawasaki South in Wynberg. Later that day, Reinhardt Heydenrych (Smiley) informed me that they would disable the immobilizer (my cost) and the motorcycle would be returned soonest.Later they delivered the motorcycle and by this time (4 days later) I had ridden the motorcycle for a grand total of 20 minutes.On the 2nd of August 2018 I took the motorcycle for a ride to Simons Town and noticed that there was an issue when braking, as it did not feel like the ABS was engaging. I contacted Bloomsbury Investment Cars and spoke to Reinhardt Heydenrych (Smiley) and informed him that there was an issue with the ABS. Reinhardt Heydenrych (Smiley) acknowledged my call and my concerns around the ABS and requested that I take the motorcycle to kawasaki south to be tested.At Kawasaki South, the ABS specialist was not in at the time and the manager instructed one of his service technicians to test the motorcycle. The service technician (not ABS expert) said that he could feel the motorcycle was braking sharply and not engaging.During the next 3 months, I made every effort to adjust my riding style along the lines of what the service technician had suggested, however it was clear that there was an issue with the ABS.On the 10th of December, I took the motorcycle to Mike Hopkins Motorcycles and asked them to test the ABS. I was informed by a sales team member who had checked my motorcycle Vin number, that the Kawasaki ZX10-R I had purchased in fact had never had ABS brakes.On the 11th of December 2018, Reinhardt Heydenrych (Smiley) was informed and had in fact acknowledged that he was aware that the motorcycle in question had no ABS even though it was advertised as such. When pressed as to what he intended doing about the situation, he informed us that management would make contact with me.Management being Richard, to date, has never made contact.On the 12th of December 2018, I went to Wesbank Cape Town building and from their offices, I telephonically informed Wesbank of what I suspect to be fraud.Since then, I have been contacted by Wesbank representatives, Gerhard Greeff and Pierre Uys who had no knowledge of the suspected fraud until I informed Gerhard Greeff early January. They have promised to deal with the situation and respond as a matter of urgency.On the 18th of January 2019, today, Pierre Uys informed me that he was making every effort to resolve the impasse.Update to follow...

Ce at Bloomsbury. We wanted to buy a motorcycle that was displayed at the Paarden Island showroom. Upon arrival at Bloomsbury to collect the bike on Friday, not only was the paperwork not ready: there was no fuel in the bike, they didnt have number plates made, they added inexplicable charges to the purchase price AND the bike had a damaged battery. Furthermore, the bike was advertised and displayed with a luggage plate, luggage and a GPS bracket - we were shown the GPS which was locked away in an office as the bike was standing on the sidewalk. We told the salesman that wed pay the full asking price, but that the extras (GPS, bracket, luggage plate and luggage) then had to be included. When we arrived to pick up the bike, these items, which were physically bolted on, had been taken off. Talk about false advertising! When asked what they were going to do with the custom KTM fittings, they had the audacity to tell us that they were going to fit in on the next KTM that came in, obviously to falsely advertise that one with add-ons as well! This past week Ive been on the phone with them quite a few times and here we are, Thursday afternoon, with no action from their side. No paperwork, still with the broken battery, no licence plate. And the manager, Richard, who apparently was in a bad mood yesterday, refuses to return my calls and the staff arent allowed to give out his phone number. The other partner is gallavanting overseas. I feel I owe it to the public to expose Bloomsburys pathetic service and dishonesty. Please rather use an honest dealer if you want to buy a car or bike!
