I just want to share a experience I had at Leisureland in Belville. I phoned them to get some warranty work done on my Howling Moon 1.4m Stargazer I bought from them before the warranty runs out. I rang them and got transferred a few times until somebody said I will get a phone call. Obviously never got a phone call. I then rang again and got asked to send a email. So I send the email with photos of zip and warranty card.Maurine emailed back and said bring it in. So I took the RTT cover of and bottom part of zip and took it in.In the shop I asked if it will be possible to extend the material so the zip is not under so much pressure, she said that will be around R150. I said ok.I was worried about leaving anything there since the tent repair department looks like a tornado went through it.When I rang a week later Maurine told me I took the roof top tent cover with me. After some words they found it.The next day in the shop they told me R450 for the works since it was not agreed as warranty work and I asked for changes. Many words later I told them I will pay just to get out of there, I dont expect to be treated like that after Ive spend R25000 on tent and bottom annex. The manager was not interested in anything Ive said and I hope I never have to deal with him again..Then when I wanted to pick up the cover I was told again I only brought in the bottom part of zip, not the cover. I nearly exploded... After going through the tornado site we found my cover underneath a stack of tent material.The way I was treated they will not see me again. If you take anything there make sure you get everything in writing and take photos of everything you drop off.

Staff is vriendly and very helpfull. No irritating noice. Spacious. Enough parking. I just wanted to sit down and read a book.

For all you camping needs pop in by them and their prices are reasonable.

Did not reply to my email about asking for stock so went there and no stock of poles. Staff member was not wearing her mask properly. I have not had good experiences with this place. Workshop manager is just plain rude. However they did come back to me when the poles were received in stock so I have upped their rating from 1 star to three stars.

Took tent in for repairs. All good Maureen is still there but unfortunately the work shop for caravan repairs has closed down. Their workmanship was always good . Sorry to see them go.

For most of your camping gear. I specially liked the pumps that fit onto bottles manual and battery operated.

Took in a sample of the door above my fridge from my sprite sprint 2016 as I wanted 2 extra doors. After paying the deposit and discussing with Johan the size I needed - and was told it will be ready in 2 weeks. I waited 2 months!!!!!!!!!!!!! .......... eventually I went to collect them today only to get home and see the size is totally wrong!! TOTALLY DISGUSTED WITH SERVICE.Update- we returned the doors to Leisureland expecting a upward battle, surprisingly the service was professional and we were re-imbursed.

Sent our caravan in for a service and inspection (knowing that there was wood rot). Got an estimate for repairs and service, which we found to be reasonable. Gave the go ahead and couldn’t wait for it to be completed. Got a pleasant call from Pierre saying the the damage was not to the extent they had thought when doing the inspection and that our bill would be much less, 30% less to be exact. Our caravan has been brought back to life for many more years of trips and memories to be made. Awesome service, great advise, shop well stocked with gear and spare parts. Thanks Pierre and team.

We found Peter Basset (the salesman in the caravan section) to be most helpful and accommodating. We would definitely do business with him and Leisureland again in this department. Sadly, Campworld, the shop is rather lacking in products and service. And, also expensive. This doesnt reflect in anyway on the service that we received in recently buying our camping trailer. If youre looking for camping products, perhaps do some further research.

I was interested in buying an Explorer Caravan. I walked in and no one attented to me or even acknowledged my presence. It was a principle of judging a book by its cover.

2ndhand Vans in excellent condition. Well stocked.

Usual camping vehicles, spares, products and service. Poorly located. Very expensive.

I have received the worst service from this place by both the two woman(colored and white) at the information desk. I am appalled by the lack of customer acknowledgment as well as addressing the customer. I will not set foot in that place just because of those two woman. If it wasnt for Mr Steven Booysen I wouldof walked right out of there. I spoke to Mr Booysen on the phone and he told me to come in and he will assist me. I went in was treated very rudely by the one lady who pointed me to Stevens direction. He assisted me so quickly and was such a friendly person to work with. While busy with Steven, my colleague told me that those two woman were complaining about me and the work Steven arranged to do for me behind my back. As I went to pay for the services rendered I greeted the other lady and she didnt even greet me back. If anyone goes here for whatever reason just walk right passed these two incompetent woman. Youll be better treated by anyone else on the floor. Will this message be read by owners or management? Maybe not. Will anything happen to those two? Maybe not. But this just serves as a heads-up to anyone else they might go there. This happened the 27th November 2018 around 1pm. Dean

I purchased a tent that was the demo model at the store. After discovering it was incomplete - missing pegs, ropes, self-rolling window mechansim and repair patches, i informed the store. At frist i was told that these unnits were not sold with these extras. After stating that every other supplier of this unit supplies the missing components and demanding my money back, so i can go and purchase a complete unit from somewhere else, Leisureland has been giving me the run around. I was advised telephonically that the unit could be returned with the invoice by a third party, but when they arrived to return the unit, they were informed i had to come through in person. If this had been communicated to me in the begining, i would not feel so frustrated. This, coupled with the unapologetic stance that the tent is complete, this is how we sell them (which is complete bollox) has made the whole experience incredibly frustrating. I strongly reccomend that any person looking for tents should go somewhere else; savings of a couple of hundred rand on the price DO NOT compensate for the shoddy service.
