Walked in and got sorted quick sticks! Extra custom back window added, pick your colour, sorted in a weeks time for a custom tent. Built there on site and any and all additions and post camping issues sorted same place.

Cristys offer a wealth of experience when it comes to designing, manufacturing or repairing anything made from canvas or similar materials. Tents, boat covers, and gazebos are right up their street. And they understand what good after sales support is all about too.

Wasted my time. Never again. The place is a shambles. Much better options elsewhere.

Wait almost 5 months for alterations on existing tent, which should have took only a month. Finished product not according to specs and when I phoned to inform them about the mistakes and work that have not been done as requested, they told me that I did not requested it.

The once great Cristys has declined to the point where I cannot support them. Previously used a wonderful canvas dome tent. This time round I walked into a shop where none of the staff had any interest in me or the business. I had to call someone to assist me, who was visibly irritated at me disturbing his socializing. When asked about their tents he pointed towards the sole dome tent in the shop. When pushed for options he pointed towards a pamphlet stuck against the wall. This was essentially the same limited information that was on the website. I asked whether there were other options and was told “no”. At this point I decided to rather speak to Camp and Climb, Outdoor Warehouse and Cape Town Safari Centre. I don’t think Cristys is going to be around too much longer.

Excellent job of manufacturing replacement for a worn fabric over frame bakkie canopy cover. Clear panels, zips etc all done very well. Some issues but these were corrected very satisfactorily.

Although my previous experience with Cristys was always acceptable to good, this time it is definately not even close to acceptable.I had my tent booked in for some minor repairs and alterations. It was booked to be completed in 2 weeks time. Upon my arrival some work was incorrectly done and the rest was not even started. I left everything with them and again was promised that I could collect the next Friday. Again they are not done and now I need to wait once again. This is now the second trip from the Northern suburbs to them. Quite costly and just a sorry. Not very happy as it is right now.

A good outdoor stores in the southern suburbs. They have a smallish range of camping gear and make canvas items such as tents and gazebos and perform repairs on tents and ransacks.

Knowledgeable staff. The tent guy knows his stuff!

Efficient and attentive staff. Some items carried no price label which caused confusion.

Camping equipment is in abundance here, the latest offerings are available and if Cristys do not have it they are very capable of sourcing it for you, friendly service and they make and repair tents too.

Sent them a mail, received read receipt and nothing further.Enquiry was for upgrade on my excisting Christy tent. I was willing to spend at least R10 000 . Now I will go spend my money where suppliers want it. Maybe Christys dont need the money

Service was friendly and prompt, we got a discount on the demo model as it was the last in stock, the large water bottles came in on the day we were told they would, and they exchanged a torch because we wanted a different colour with 0 stress. 2 good experiences.

HiI on the 14 th- I brought in one broken flex tent rod, out of 5, that needed to be replaced and was charged R80 for 5 minutes restringing.The kiddies tent only cost R120 but your cash lady send that the fixed price- which I think is overpriced!I was also billed twice for the amount of R119.95- can you please help.ThanxJ
