Sanit James cafe is a cutie little corner coffee shop which offer great pastries and good coffee for a boosted morning or a simple chat over coffee with friends. if you looking for a place to sit, better rush as it has limited seats and might find yourself enjoying coffee while standing up. place can be little noisy but is part of the vibe). a must to go if you wanna be local!

They have a great atmosphere and really tasty treats. I havent had their coffee yet, but Ill be back to try more stuff.

I love this place! Staff are friendly - coffee is always on point and all day breakfast is always a winner!! It can get a little busy over the weekends but the decor and comfy seating make the wait worth it

Definitely a great spot in Obs! Not only one of the best places to work, chat or just to chill, but also with the best coffee in the area. Whether its an Americano, an espresso or a latte, you wont be disappointed. I used to live in Cape Town almost next to the café and was definitely one of my favourite places. Food is also great! And the staff is very friendly and attentive!

I really liked the flavour of my Eggs Benedict but being able to slice the rye it is served on more easily would be appreciated. Coffee excellent. JuiceBox juices available. A casual spot, good for a small meeting or to do some work.

Go for the coffee special. Stay for the breakfast. Definite must-visit on a weekend morning

Coffee and food is amazing, but unfortunately staff is terrible. They are rude, dont listen, and dismissive. My wife and I used to come every morning, only to get the wrong coffees and bad service. Never going back again. Dolce bakery down the road makes a better coffee and provides much better service.

I enjoy heading to Saint James café as to work away from home. Their menu is really affordably compared to many Cape Town coffee shops. There’s always a buzz of activity, so if you’re looking for somewhere quiet, best steer clear. Good WiFi connectivity, cool staff, beautiful interior

St James is such a brilliant spot with great decor, good coffee and pretty decent food. I’m always popping in for a quick Saturday coffee. The reason for the 3 star rating is that the service is really slow and they somehow got our orders wrong. The staff seemed confused and we had 3-4 different people asking us about our order...

This place has the best pastries and coffee in Observatory. The almond croissant is my favorite. There is one problem I have however, the one Barista is very unfriendly, this morning on the 25th of August 2020, he was quite abrupt and seemed in a bad mood again. Even so that it seemed to have made his Colleuge feel uncomfortable. Once I greeted him cheerfully when I walked in and he just looked past me. But Ill return every day because the coffee and pastries are legendary.

Open nice and early (was there at 7am). Flat white was a bit milky but coffee left a good taste in the mouth. Very pleasant early morning vibe 😊

This is a nice place for a coffee meeting! I had a lovely milkshake and it was value for money. The waitstaff told me that the milkshake wasn’t going to be their best as they were having ice cream problems but I still really enjoyed the flavor so I don’t know what the problem was. It’s also very quiet which makes it easy to have a meeting there. Only problem is there isn’t much parking when it’s busy. However I would still recommend this cafe

Coffee tasted fantastic. The food here includes pastries such as croissants and a range of brunch options as well, all of which is fresh and delicious. The only thing stopping me from giving this 5 stars is that the service was sometimes slow and inefficient, but this was mostly made up for by the quality of the food and coffee

Literal home away from home. Staff is cool but not unfriendly cool. Toasted sandwiches and Asian noodle salad is lit. Coffee is lit. Sometimes doggos appear. 🤞🤞🤞

We popped in for iced coffee and were pleasantly surprised. Delicious! It is neat, clean and well organised.

Great coffee and all day breakfast. Also good spot to buy eggs, fresh bread, olive oil and coffee beans.Only improvement would be to poach the eggs in your Benedict properly, theyre a tad rubbery as not done directly in water.

Pity this up and coming neighbourhood cafe is marred by the uber coolness of the barrister. Watched as a series of his friends came in and received coffee long after I had ordered, paid and sat down. And when I confronted him, he couldnt even apologise. Never going back to a place where if youre not the Coffee Gods Bro, you get pushed to the back of the line.

Great little clean shop. Usually has the most stable WiFi in any of the obs coffee shops. Quality, strong consistent coffee, not the most amazing but good. Friendly staff, fair prices.

My go to obs coffee shop. Not the best roast in the city but delicious coffee, never burnt always strong with creme and they only do doubles. Plus a delicious eggs benedict if you are sitting down or a takeaway croissant or sandwich if youre on the run.

Great coffee but Ive often had wifi issues when trying to work at Saint James Cafe.

I have had a mocca coffee there multiple times and the service is always great. Nice joint in observatory close to lower main where all the actions takes place. The waiters are 👌🏿.

Coffee was fine. Not amazing. Food was pretty good but an eggs benny should never take 43min to show up. Staff didnt care. Didnt like the staff.

Great coffee, didnt get my food despite specifically asking if breakfast was being served. Bread only arrived 25 minutes later, paid in advance because I was in a rush, and then I had to go. Paid full price + 15% tip.Havent had a problem in the past, but avoid if you have time constraints, >30 minutes for avo on toast...

My local and one of my top coffee spots in Observatory. The staff are very friendly and the coffee always on point. Great freshly baked sourdough for sale from Woodstock bakery (if you get there early enough) and fresh eggs to take home from Usana.

Good service and tasty food. Not a huge fan of Truth Coffee, so didnt particularly like the coffee - but if youre a fan of it, the coffee is reasonably priced.

I cant even describe the place,thats how awesome it was.When I bit into the sand which and had a sip of my hot chocolate,it felt like heaven,even though I dont know how heaven feels.You know what I mean.I advice you guys( whoever is reading this)to go there and try out their food because its really great.One thing I forgot to mention there if WIFI.
