Great food, big selection, reasonable prices, terrific staff.We’ve had the steak lunch special (105 rand), the currywurst (75 rand), the chicken burger (105 rand), and the chicken cordon bleu (102 rand). Everything was delicious, especially the last which is made in-house with real Black Forest ham. Sides — fries, green salad, potato salad — are all excellent.There’s also a great meat counter and some prepackaged foods, like housemade sausages and spaetzle. This place has tons of loyal local followers and there’s a reason for it.

Quite disappointed with the behind the counter staff, this is the 2nd time in a row that they are not listening properly (or forgetting) about cut sizes & qtys I request. (I normally go to the Gardens outlet where the staff is impeccable & professional). I need specific cut size of your smoked bacon (excellent product) for my paté manufacturing, and the behind staff just chat to each other and dont seem to be paying attention to my exact requests. I unfortunately wont come back.

Our second visit to this delightful deli in Constantia. We love the variety on the menu.The service was excellent on both occasions.Most enjoyable to sit under the trees in the shade and enjoy a most tasty lunch. We shall definitely be back to try more of those tempting and different dishes. Thank You.

I used to enjoy coming here but I arrived before closing and was told after coming to the till with items to buy that because they did stock taking they would not sell me anything. You do not do that to customers. You dont leave the store open while doing a stock check and inform people you are not letting them buy because you finished counting. Horrendous treatment, I was a regular with family, but never again.

Well-priced German food and great beer in a pretty outdoor setting.

I was very impressed about the foods quality. The meatloaf tastes 100% german, Sauerkraut and mashed potatoes was great as well. The meat looks delicious and high quality. Perfect!

The service is nonexitant and when searching for a waiter was told they close at 4:00 so ordering at 3:30 was extremely problematic. No sign of management so the entire place is left to staff to run. If you have no objection to surely waiters and poor food then I would highly recommend Hartlief Deli

I have been a long time customer of Hartlief Deli and have never EVER been disappointed. The staff are friendly, kind and personable. As we are long time customers, we know them by name and vise versa.I would recommend Harlief to anyone who treats others like human beings and not just waitrons because if you try the littlest bit, you will fall in love with Hartlief and it’s staff.

Great for a Sunday morning breakfast, staff needs to be trained a little better though to be as good as the staff behind the counter, then the 5th star shall follow. Cold meats as good as any butcher in Central Europe, highly recommendable - we are certainly regulars there. Note the new position though, now to the left of Greens, no longer to the right !!

I went to Raith Gourmet and the food was very tasty (I ordered a steak, was delicious!) the service was good, waiters were friendly and it is situated in the perfect location, upper class feel to it.
