Lots of good hardware, great variety of tools, hardware, paint and even wood. Parking is a problem though. Definitely worth it to pop in and check prices as opposed to other larger stores.

Maybe one of the very BEST Hardware stores in Cape Town!!!!Huge choice of quality products (plus things you do not normally find...and arts & craft ideas too) and most importantly...super SERVICE!!!Spent a week trying to get wood cut to spec from other hardware stores...found ‘Do It Yourself Shop’👆🏼...who gave me no issues and cut my small required planks in 10min...whilst I explored their amazing store! Needless to say I left with more than my small planks☺️...but happy😀Highly recommended👍🏼

One of those great old time hardware stores. Has something of everything, not to well organized but with helpfull an knowledgable staff. Prices not the best but they have helped me out when I was in the dwang a few times!

A brilliant shop! Everything you need (and dont think you need), is on offer to get your home DIY project done. What is so great is that you can buy one screw and plug or 51! Nails, screws, washers and so much more individually sold. Any board cut to size. Or buy an off cut. Adhesives, paint and much more. This store is old fashioned with a modern update. It is situated on the busy Koeberg road. There is some free parking outside.

I am all for supporting small businesses, so off I went to DIY. Before purchasing items, I specifically asked the gentleman at the counter and the cashier if I can return one of the items as I was not sure of the size. Both of these staff members said yes I can for a full refund. The following morning, I returned the item. Only to be met by one of the managers with an attitude of note. He was not pleased that he had to give my money back and charged me a 15% handling fee. Then tells me its on the Terms & Conditions of the slip. Funny your employees dont know this, as they specifically told me I could return for a full refund, before I made the purchase. Also, Mr Manager, you are extremely rude! You are not doing your customers a favour when they purchase items from DIY. You are there to provide a service. Maybe you should consider doing a customer service course and learn how to deal with people. Especially if the customer was not rude or argumentative with you. Sorry DIY, you just lost a customer.

This little shop has a massive selection of hardware supplies. From heavy duty building supplies to that specific screw youve been hunting for, this place has everything. Prices are very competitive and often beats the big name brand DIY superstores. Absolute disgrace got my order wrong after I gave them a plan then blamed us, they spoke to the client and told them we incompetent and dont know what we doing and when we got there they span a totally different story blaming the client absolute rip off they dont ownership of their mistakes a bunch of liers and puitred service I wont recimend buying there nor will I ever buy there again

This shop has anything your woodwork workshop desires. They also do board cutting and planing of your own boards. It normally takes a week. you pay per half hour of machine time.
